S3V3N 1402 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) Anything new/different for you? I've been to the airfield and the zombies there weren't a problem. Found a seemingly fresh chopper near Prud/Old Fields with no guns at it and only a few grenades + broken FNX sight, instead. Went to Devil's Castle - nothing different. Then to Nowodmitrovsk and up the city hall tower - the best place for glowsticks ;) I threw some from the roof and waited, but seems nobody was around or wanted to check. Novod seems to have some problems with infected. I saw one that was lying dead on the ground, but I got hit by an invisible one. Later, in the apartments near the Hospital there, I got hit several times by invisible zombie, always in the same room and also on the higher floors. Haven't had that problem elsewhere. Found no bus in Novod (was the bus station remodeled? seems like it's spacier and has more wrecks than before) and logged out. Eugen mentioned on twitter that the vehicle to vehicle desync should be fixed but it is still really bad. It was so bad that I crashed in a house and ruined the front tires. Was it possible to ruin the tires before this patch? After the crash the car was sliding like crazy again. Removing the tires and repairing them from worn back to pristine fixed the sliding. So no changes here.Then I flipped the car on a tree stump. Tried to unflip it with a bow and by luring infected to the car but nothing helped. Generally I'd say that there is more desync and the reaction time to actions like opening a door is slower as well. This version does not feel as snappy as stable. ColdAtrophy 1850 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) We are already on V3S #2. Biohaze put a tire on the first truck using old UI. I put the other 3 on using new UI. He only saw 3 tires on the truck. The double tire he put on was invisible to him after we left the area and came back. As I tried to pull out of the parking spot at the industrial area on the Northeast side of Vybor, the truck inexplicably flipped over completely. When we tried to recover the tires from the truck to fix up another V3S, Biohaze used a lug wrench on the wheel hub since I could not remove the tire from the truck's inventory even with new UI. Even though he couldn't see the tire, it gave him the scroll wheel option to remove the wheel. The tire then disappeared for good. But most importantly - the first one I shot, I used an improvised silencer and even though there was another infected very near by, it didn't react to the shot! As the sun rose (slowly, thankfully), running around the nearby towns yielded the tires and parts needed and we came across a 2nd truck spawn in the process. Neither truck had any wheels, 1 had both doors, and 1 had 1 door and battery. Cold was using new UI and I am using the Old UI. I had put 1 tire on and he the rest. He could not see the tire but we decided to drive away. The only surviving pic before the first truck went belly up... Cold tried a 3 point turn and somewhere during the 2nd point the truck just flipped over like a dog wanting a belly rub. The dual tire I put on was glitched and partially disappeared but we wanted to try to get the tires off and on to the other truck. Cold could not see it at all and I could see it in the trucks parts inventory but could not see it on the outside. We found a lug wrench so I could try to remove it and when I walked up I got the option to remove the tire but doing so caused the tire to despawn. After trying to hide the truck limping on 3 wheels (with 2 single wheels in the stash spot) we logged off until later. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

When I removed it from the spawn location, it had 2 front single tires and 1 back double tire. When I parked it, the truck slid about 2 meters into a tree. Not hard, but just enough for the tree to act as a parking brake of sorts. When we found the last double tire, we went back to the truck, put the tire on, and tried to move the truck. Nothing was working at all. The V3S absolutely refused to budge even an inch in either direction. Biohaze hopped out and cut down the tree that the truck had slid into initially and against the which the front bumper was now resting. That didn't help either. I'll be honest; I don't remember every last workaround we tried and the order in which we tried them. All I can say is that we tried just about every combination of tires on and off the vehicle to get it move even a tiny amount. Then, in a last ditch effort, I tried Gews suggestion of using an Ashwood Bow to unstick a stuck vehicle. After firing about 4 or 5 arrows into the truck, it started to shake violently and make the normal "taking damage" pinging metal sounds. RIP truck #2. Unfortunately it had an item stuck inside (an invisible item and not showing in the tent item count)So, in the process of just fussing around with it I may have discovered a bug, well maybe.I've been running the -newui pretty regularly now and I don't think you can do this in the old ui So the tent is displayed on the ground (in vicinity), if you drag the tent from one ground slot to another - it moves!It moves, it spins around and it doesn't care if there's trees in the way, it seems to bypass the tree clipping.I relogged and found that the invisible item to be binoculars.If I had more time tonight I'd see what other damage I could cause with this thing but alas, going out to dinner :) a few pics of said floating mil tent, oh did I mention it levitates too! 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

blackberrygoo 1416 Posted December 15, 2015 Please fix the damn vehicle physics, they are just laughable at the moment, why would a manual transmission diesel engine be so damn weak at conquering tiny hills with turns in them? No momentum can be gained when youre stuck in between two small slopes , vehicles are useless unless you feel like trouble shooting them literally every 15 minutes, sorry guys but this experimental im sitting out, not only is the vehicle physics terrible still but the desync is bad .... plez give proper manual transmission physics before xmas plox . 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

We have a well received stable version running right now, let's not ruin the holidays by trying to fix something minor and breaking a load of other stuff.
