I never even got ported back.  just black screen oblivion.  Just now shut it off with the task manager.

I wanted to wait and see what happens and now it ported me back a second time and the servers are taken down again.

I'm not getting black screens nor am I stuck at Novo splash screen - but I haven't been able to connect.

I saw three servers up and the server refresh seemed slow.

One server showed 8/60 people but when I went to join I got "Maximum players..."

Tried to spam it but got the same "Maximum players"

Then all three servers went down.

Just reporting what I've experienced.

Welcome to my world, I have been playing this way all this time until 0.60. In all the big places I got like 10-15 fps and outside maximum 30. Even now with the new renderer it's only a bit better in the big places (I get around 20 fps). But what most people tend to forget or don't know is that putting your settings on the lowest possible can be counter productive. This is because the processor will do almost all work and the graphics card will do almost nothing. Best is to put everything at very high and work your way down that way by playing with the settings one at a time.

Yeah, I'd worked my way up and down with the graphics settings. Nothing made a shred of difference. The thing is I found an area within the game where I could move just a few feet up a street in game and my frame rates would jump from 12-14 to 35-40 plus. Walking back down the street would make them drop again. i found three or four locations like this in the same area. If I stayed within a certain area the game was smooth and easily playable on the highest settings but move outside the 'zone' and it was stomach churning.

Trying to get a Guinness record for least apologetic Canadian.

Wish I could find a job where I could show up not accomplish anything tangible to the customer and just go home guilt free when quitting time rolls around. I guess  game development is different but anywhere I've worked you stay until it's fixed every time not just once in awhile for an atta'boy.

That would cause a massive rate of dead devs. They would just starve to death or simply fall apart due to a lack of sleep. We still need them, mind you ;)

Yeah, I forget that the world is full of pussies sometimes. Maybe if they switched to the coffee cigarette, and Oh Henry diet I used when I was their age it'd put some hair on their chests but kids these days...

- Dynamic Event weapons have been temporarily moved to spawn in all applicable military structures

And here I thought they came to their senses for a second.

Currently helicopter crashsites are anything but dynamic. But since duping is easily gonna stay with us till next year (or until the new player controller is fully fledged out and server restarts aren't manually possible [and necessary] anymore),  it won't make that much of a difference for now.

Here is the link to the latest status report: https://dayz.com/blog/status-report-24-may-2016

I suggest you read it because it's very interesting again! I mean "Several server crashes causing VERY short server uptime: Current known server crashes are fixed" really? Thank you developers, this was my main issue with the current build of experimental!

And "I'd like to take the time to thank the over 196,000 unique players who have contributed to the testing of experimental branch build 0.60." wow, just wow! Didn't expect so much people to try and play 0.60. That is a great sign, well done developers. Keep it up and you will have the playerbase back in no time, no sweat!

this was my first thaught wtf? 196k players?

I don´t think it was that much players, it looks like counting the connect trials from all press "enter...enter..enter...enter" peps.

(with changing IP´s after router reboot or normal disconnect after a while)

But 196k trials for 3k slots, no more questions about "connecting failed" and "max player reached" :)

It´s like an small ddos attack ;)

Obviously actions like skinning a body should leave a pile of unusable remnants to be removed later, such as burying it with the proper tools on the right surface thus creating a built up heap of soil. More interesting is how a dead body changes its stages to reflect how long it's been laying around and how it affects interactions and other mechanics. Flies, and later on decaying flesh, helps you to estimate the timeframe and warn you that meat collected after skinning will be rotten, and it will be better if you disinfect looted items from a corpse before using them

It's much needed to keep dead bodies present as long as possible

Yay piles of bodies rotting and decomposing and you're able to mess around with them. Nice...

I see new beer driven test runs ahead :-)

Having found a dead body before it is amazing the amount of clues even a layman can get about the time of death on just a quick inspection.

yes, I hope the bodies will stay as long as possible.

Hopefully we will be able to manipulate them, like dragging bodies around, load them in a car and such.

I will become a gravedigger in that case and I will personally make sure there is always work for me to do ;)
