I found some cargo pants (plenty of them) in the big red garages, (bus garages?) The ones north of Novo, or eastern entrance of Severograd, Haven't checked others, but both of these had cargo pants.

But those kind of spawns just don't make sense. You think in the 200 some houses you would explore there would be couple of pairs at least lol.

 

I just think its probably some more spawn adjustments the dev teams needs to tweak probably.

 

The RAK spawning in the police station does make allot of sense though as well as finding optics. It is a police station after all and i give them props for that.

Alright, I got over the initial frustration of the inventory issue and played for a couple hours today. I think I have the solution for the inventory issue where items are getting stuck  in slots, cannot be dragged or dropped in any way. Don't put anything on your quick bar. I've had no inventory issues and have been picking up and dropping stuff, moving it round in my inventory without fail as long as I don't put anything on my hot bar.

The amount of zombies in towns got bit of an old mod feeling but server fps is likely way too low for those :(

Actually, I think industrial areas like that make a lot of sense to find cargo pants, the sort workers wear.

I imagine even in places near and around Russia though cargo pants are fairly common though in normal houses to.

It's a little bit more complex than that. We can't get bogged down by authenticity or realism to the Nth degree. After all, at some point this is a game. Why even have 4 slot pants at all if 6 slot pants are everywhere? If we allowed only realism to dictate rarity, then half of the loot in this game would be in almost every single house. On the other hand, we could get stuck in a pointless logical loop because we have no idea what each and every single person did that might change the contents of a home not only between society being fine and all hell breaking loose but during the aftermath when other survivors like ourselves have grabbed whatever they could. 

 

Cargo pants might be more prevalent in reality (and I use the word "might" because I have no clue what the average fictional Chernarussian keeps in their home), but 6 slot pants in a video game wherein 6 slots are the highest level of storage that pants currently offer should be more rare than any other kind of pants.

I found one pair of shorts, shoes and assorted hats. I've found no other clothes beyond these.

Well after I saw another exp update I checked it out. I spawned in cherno and made my up with a freind to pusta. We found very little loot but there was no food except some powdered milk. Eventually my buddy died of starvation I should have ate him. I went to mogliveka there was little to no food at all I was starving. I made my way near to zub and found nothing I eventually died of starvation. I spawned near svelt and found some actual food. I'm gonna have to take a novo route and go to severograd. I played with an izh 18 after I found a SKS mag. The sound is good and iron site is good to. BTW anyone find a c96 yet.

I've seen many homes almost lootsploded with various clothes.

 

I made a point of it in game to ColdAtrophy.

No but i found the new single shot rifle that uses the AK and CZ rounds. Forgot the name but has the same one as the double barrel shotgun almost. The RAK is pretty awsome for a 380 ammo weapon. The Winchester 70 is a rather beast weapon even with just iron shot. I really want to get a scope for it though.

1. all the servers seem to be set at perpetual night.  which is fine once you have something other than the flashlight, which is almost useless.  which I still have.

     (edit:  I do have full servers filtered out, so maybe the day ones are all full)

2. no food except on bushes and trees (I expected that though).  I can hear everyone else eating on the far side of the map though, which gives me hope.

3. did we really have to remove the item description from the 'take' command?  yes I know - seeing what's there is for call of duty kiddies, real men waste time, etc.

4. can't wait to see the zombies everyone's talking about.

If you live long enough to find a gun with ammo and get to Novo stand in the middle of the town and fire a round.

As far as loot is concerned, I think a majority of loot respawn is happening in the North due to player concentrations but that's just a guess.

There is plenty of food, you just have to look in all the houses and rooms you wouldn't usually have searched. I played the 0.56 exp first time last night, and everything had clearly been looted several times before on that server, all the hotspots were picked completely clean, but after careful search of the surrounding houses (this was in Elektro), I found everything I needed anyway: Talon backpack, repeater rifle, magnum, press vest (placed on a stove in a green house), military boots, axe, cantine, matches, duct tape, plastic bottle, water purifiers and last but not least plenty of cans of food to get me light green in energy and hydration.

The only thing I didn't find was some .357 ammo for my guns. I found some Winchester ammo, so I am hoping I will eventually find a rifle to match that instead.

.357 is in I have seen it, just not as much as before.

Put the object that has the battery attached in your hands. Right click on the battery icon that is in your Hands window and select detach. Profit.  :P

If you can't pick up an item in the environment, open up the Inventory and drag it into your hands. Click X on the Hands window and it will auto drop into your inventory.
