Not a gun but The Ultimate Weapon - the Hatchet.

Attach bells to it, that would be the ultimate weapon

Civilian hunting rifles, Warsaw Pact weaponry, and hopefully some sensible knives and perhaps a couple bayonets.

i was asking a general question.

About the SA if I'm not mistaken.

There was zero loss of "translation".

If you wish to continue discussing the SA in anyway, do so in this Topic.

My good people, I do believe the Crowbar with a laser sight and ACOG scope attachments, along with several tactical rails for various accessories that could appease your desires is clearly the ultimate weapon.

maybe didn't found it or the answer is not there, but I want ask about future servers, if I m not wrong SA will be hard or impossible to hack since will be more server side, so..... servers will be as 1st dayz ? One big data base for all players, since there r a lot of privates ( cuz hacks ) life has been devaluated

I really hope that they'll do the complete overhaul with zombie AI. One of the biggest problem IMO is how fast they try to move. Too fast AI in RV engine seems to be very buggy. I hope that Rocket has thought to slow the zombies down inside the buildings at least because even players would've problems to move that fast inside the buildings without collision problems or stuck somewhere. OK I know that AI can glitch through the walls but they really need to get rid of it or at least tone it down because it looks very stupid and ugly. Rocket can slow the zombies down, add damage to make them kill you faster and then add stamina/fatigue system to the players so we can't run all the time to keep the balance.

I wonder if the Standalone will be out in time for Steam's summer sale 2014? That'd be cool and it'd fit in my budget. Just my luck It'll probably be released right after it.

... I project the SA will be out in time for Steam's summer sale 2019.

Looking forward to a m14 or equivalent, moddable with bipod, extended barel and scope. In other words... m14/DMR.

I'm fairly sure the DMR has been removed in the SA - most OP bullshit weapon in the game

with the standalone and the zombie rework... will sneaking in cities\towns and around zombies be viable without getting the attention of zombies 100 yards away?  (or any respectable distance)

For the standalone, will there be a set amount of attachments a weapon can have, or will there be unlimited spots for which you can place attachments? For example will it be possible to fully kit an M4 with many attachments (Sight,Hanguard,Stock, Supressor,Grip/GL,Laser sight, bayonet ect, as i think if this is possible it will give the player something to accomplish, and make their own weapon unique, in a sense a "level" for the character, instead of having ACTUAL levels like other rpg games, as that would ruin the immersion. Obviously these attachments would have to be extremely difficult to find, possibly harder than the weapon itself.Post your opinions.

Think about it realistically. In real life, it's hard to fit an underbarrel grenade launcher as well as a foregrip. Most modern firearms have one or two rails, and very rarely 4 or more. On an AR-15, for example, a typical loadout could consist of an 8x zoom scope, as well as a bipod and foregrip, turning it from a versatile assault weapon to a more specialised weapon for longer range support. I imagine the weapons in standalone will conform to real life standards, so you will only be able to fit so many attachments on one gun.

An ACR (adaptive combat rifle) for example, was designed specifically to be modified for situations. They can have as many as 4 rails, so I imagine on weapons like that you would be able to mount many more attachments. So to summarize, I'm no standalone expert but if it's based off real firearms, then it will differ by gun what attachments you can add.

I strongly beg to differ on your point of view.

I'm overwhelmed by tactical-ness.

Hello, I was wondering... since all items can be destroyed or break down in SA, how easy will it be to do this? If a bandit shot a few bullets at a survivor and killed him, how much of his stuff would be damaged and to what degree of damage would they suffer?

If you don't know, how much damage to items do you think should be incurred in a gunfight?

Very, hopefully.

Same here. There needs to be some incentive for a bandit to take a hostage rather than gun him down.
