Experimental Update 0.63.149776

Hello all.

I wrote about pso-1(akm and svd) problems

in August 19 

and in October 25

and now that's problems not fixed.

Why?

 I ask in October 25,  Baty in PM about that and she answer to me:

"We have our priorities and these problems aren't priorities.

Thank you for understanding."

The stunlock should be fixed because the pvp has become unplayable. The first who hit win the fight .. Either it should be greatly reduced or remove it.

Well this is a survival game and not a boxing simulator.  If you want PVP, get a weapon, go inland and don't fistfight with freshspawns on the coast. 

Melee is for killing zombies, not players. Go play wasteland or something if all you want is PVP. The less KoS kids on the servers the better.

Wait so a cold can be transfered now? I got to be honest, that's pretty amazing. I remember that in 0.62 cholera was transferable by drinking from a container, contaminating it. A lot of people got sick because of contaminated containers at our camp.

Mags and Optics are stuck now in M4 and Ak, please fix them. I just signed in and tried my AK mag and pso-1, I can't detach them. Game are 4 days away from the full release and weapons (The most important features in game) still have issues. Fix them for God sake. You are unbelievable.

Pointing out an issue with PvP doesn't necessarily mean that's all someone wants.  PvP is a big part of DayZ whether it's part of your personal style or not.

Incidentally, stun-lock can happen in gun fights as well since they added a flinching animation when you get shot by some weapons.

Eugen stated on these forums on 11/20 that stun lock is "on their radar" and that they know it is not optimally configured.  Hopefully they have time to tune it before Thursday.

that is fixed on exp severs, prob wont see it on stable until next week

Man i'm not talking about the fist fight but gunfight.. If someone hit you with a bullet u are dead cuz u cant move or shot anymore.. U cant escape.. and it's frustrating.

 

The old system was good, now the real pvp is ruined by this shit..

And if u are a PVE player good for you but not everyone is like you, i play this game since January 2014 and I always played for PVP and some time RP.

This is absolutely wrong. And stupid suggestion. Melee is always going to be important part of the game. There will always be people without gun, or without bullet, or having to engage into melee for ton of possible reasons. 

By the way killing zombies is retarded in DayZ now too, same thing hit first which is very easy, and then bam bam bam and thats it. 

Also do you realize that no matter how friendly people will be, pvp will happen anyway. Also it is meant to happen, because it is meant to be gamble of trust, there is meant to be some bandits to disturb the peace and make a challenge... It should always be great variety of everything, great unpredictability.

Also you suggest to dive straight into inlands. You understand that the further you go from coast the bigger the risk is of unfriendly encounters ? The coasts are the places where people socialise the most. It seems that even developers doesn't understand that, unless it will magically change with 1.0, and it probably is not. I hope at least stun lock gets fixed...

The guy just pointed out that melee in DayZ now is total tragedy, and you assume that all he wants is PVP, KoS..... what a.....

^^^^ this so much !!  I never understood the idea behind forcing players to leave the coast and go north !! Regarding fist fights...it should not be lethal maybe just for knocking other players out and against zeds just giving you some space to run or draw a weapon or reload....not killing them.

Why do people make comments about EXP server updates with problems in Stable .. these EXP server patches have already fixed that , you wana see it fix opt into exp branch and play exp .. it most likely wont be on stable until the day of the 13th when they release 1.0 as they are still fixing and tweaking things before the 1.0 release.. right up to the wire

At least they re-added the missing text when you look at the water pump. I wonder what other changes were made that aren't in the patch notes.

Ive found a bunch of little things not mentioned.. as they are fixing so many things or tweaking .. they just hit the main fixes / tweaks .. who has time to post every tiny tweak lol

A good development team using SVN the proper way followed by a project manager who can thus go through and write out every bug or tweak fix in a list to present it to the client/public for consumption.  That's how it's done outside the world known as DayZ.  The project manager would also update the client/public very often the more they get to a release on progress not clam up and say nothing.  It takes 15 - 20 minutes to make a daily list of the previous days fixes, maybe another hour to format and write up a quick summary.  Given this arbitrary deadline, this should have been done every couple of days to the community outside the Experimental builds and their patch notes.

good day I do not lose blood anymore when I get hit by an infected person. the drop is not synonymous down only the cross goes down. on stable and exp same problem.has already deleted all the data

Zeds are looking better this update.  Haven't seen them teleport yet.  They get stuck on some terrain, but as long as they don't teleport, it's manageable.  They seem to hit a lot harder and are a bit more dangerous.  Zombie awareness looks good considering time+weather.  

I can dig an underground stash with a drybag, stand over it, take the bag to hands, and still dump stuff in there.  So, all you need is one item right now and you can make infinite stashes. seems bad.  Obviously couldn't test for persistence well enough.

Still has interface bugs when there's too much loot around.  Specifically when you harvest plants,  If you harvest the whole garden, there's too much stuff and the inventory vicinity bugs out.  Clicking on the up/down arrow on the vicinity tab when there's piles of stuff around bugs out the UI.

Related, plants are growing too fast in experimental.  I don't know if it's tied to time acceleration or not, but maybe should be 15+ minutes real time.

They still teleport, trust me. Tested it a few hours ago.

But right now the fps drops every 10 -20 mins are far worse than tp zed.. I submitted a bug report for it , from 60 to 16 is harsh

Been on exp the entire evening, seen no teleporting zeds. Had no problems at all actually. Seems porting zeds (and other AI, seen cows, deer and sheep zap around before) happens when servers get the stutters, and not all servers seem to get that. Hopefully they know what causes it and get it fixed before the 13th, won't do to have that kinda bug in 1.0.

i totally get what you are saying.  when i get hit with a bullet in real life i usually have instant reaction time and am totally unaffected by the impact of the slug.  Being affected by being SHOT WITH BULLETS is really immersion breaking..... seriously?

Mags, both AKM and M4 are fixed in the latest experimental build. Switch DayZ to experimental and have a look. While playing on stable version you ofc notice these bugs in the game as this version hasn't been updated for almost 2 weeks.

Hello to all.Sorry for my english.

In this patch, I hear my shots. But a new problem appeared when my friend shoots, I stop hearing his shots. The same problem will be if he will shoot while I listen. Shooting distance 200-300 meters.

Also, please tell someone how to use the rangefinder: I insert a battery into it, but I don’t know how to measure the distance. Does it work normally?

@remastyi  Rangefinder works. the data of the distance are shared as "Game Message". So you have to put the ingame messages "ON" in the options.
