  • more ladders fixes
  • fixed an incorrect V3S spawning location

Hello !

I don't know if it's a new issue but I tested the ladder from the office building in elektro and when I climbed up the ladder I made small step backward to see when I'm going to fall.

I ended up flying ! lol

Maybe it's part of the fix, Idon't know.

Edit: I tested a lot of ladder and didn't die to it !

Infected hit detection is greatly improved.

Infected strikes will fully cancel upon melee strike. It is now possible to take partial damage instead of every strike being 100% contact.

Awesome.

I really like how these red flowers pop.

I am hearing clipping of audio files, and some bird audio does seem a bit overwhelming in volume.

I also bumped up some of my graphics settings and now I'm definitely seeing the pixel noise that Weyland was posting about.

It's pretty ugly and immersion breaking.

Haha was this the V3S inside the container at Zeleno?

I stuck a pic of that up on reddit last week ???

By the way, they're going slowly towards 150 k commits, that's a proper milestone of you ask me.

I had that yesterday as well. I tried some graphics options but it was always the same ... then I wanted to take a screenshot and looked for a good position. Then it was gone. It was at sunset, maybe it has to do with it. Before and after never seen again, the pixel snow is really like bad Weed * _ *

haha, well it only shows when I'm moving.

1PP Experimental servers reduced to 1?  All I am seeing is the one UK server.

No i have saw if standing...ok all the grass shaders are evertime on move from the wind.

There was an AUS as well earlier.

May take a moment to come up, or you may need to change your ping filter.

Ah okay.  Figures. We've been playing and camping on SouthCentral and Northeast.

Edit:  Yup, taking off the 100ms Ping filter reveals AUS at 246ms ping.  The UK one is dancing around the 100 mark.

When I dropped my object settings and shadow to low (while going into my profile and readjusting my overall view distance and object view distance to 3600 and 3000) and left all else on maxed out settings (no post processing ever, its just gross imo) the weird little dots all over were either gone completely or very hard to see. Try that and let me know what you see?

Yes, those red flower fields are great. Wish there was some blue or purple ones, just more wild flowers in general.

Great to come back to this game and see the progress. Am concerned we lost a UK EXP Hardcore server.

Play just to now on UK (0-4?) 1pp, and never saw this famousing pixelsnow... testing with differend settinigs, because never saw (i have waiting to evening to night, never the same how yesterday)

The build you are playing can be found in a number of different places: the main menu (lower left corner), the in-game menu (lower left corner), and when you log in to a server the initial server message will tell you what build you're playing on. I believe it can also be found in one of the config files (can't remember?) and of course an external server browser can pull that information as well (e.g. dayzspy.com).

Played about 2.5 hours more.

Met up with Brooks and had a short bus ride around a few military hotspots, looking for better gear.

Part ways through Brooks gets the bus stuck on an invisible map element. He can be seen here venting his frustration on the tires.

I did not drive but I could tell that the physics was acting differently. One annoying and potentially dangerous thing we noticed was the propensity of the bus to slide while someone is in the drivers seat with the engine off.

Our shared journey ended with a smoker at NWA.

After looting this Brooks had to go so I finished looting NWA alone. Near the end of clearing the tents, I thought I saw a player and started out North again.

Once I cleared the railroad tracks I looted the nearby town and logged out.

Some frame drops were seen when spinning around, and the usual hitch when piercing the network bubble with Brooks was experienced.
