Exp Update: 0.58 + Hot Fix.

I was driving a truck last week and since people said there were invisible things in the road they were hitting, I drove real real slow through a big town and hit nothing on a wide street, backed up and went around nothing and further up hit nothing again and it popped my front end up about 3 feet. I inched up to nothing and it started to bounce my truck front end. I thought I was in a low rider with hydraulics and so I inched forward some more and it bounced me me higher and then I was stuck on nothing. The truck was in a continuous shake and I figured I would die getting out, but I did and left the truck.

Last night I dropped my sporter outside the west tent city tent with the splosion and it vanished when it hit the ground and was not in the tent. For fun I grabbed the akm, two 75 rd mags, scope, suppressor, rail guard and 6 boxes of ammo and dusted off my new high cap vest. I gunned down the zombies there for good measure and ran into the forest to look for tics.

I still found some pretty big piles on several servers but there is new loot spawning in the houses so the situation seems to clear up slowly.

Just got killed on sight in a military barracks. Managed to get some shots at him though so maybe I killed him aswell. I do know they were with two.

Had same thing happen to me at Myshenko tents, lucky him, lol, I was being chased by an invisible zed that I just could not shake.  His problem now!!!  HEHHEHEHEHEHE!!!

 

Plus I had already stashed my good shit away.

Loot seems to be spawning in houses again as previously stated.

 

I was saved near 2 large lootsplosions and though there were still piles they did seem smaller.

 

Found A LOT of loot in houses up north.

 

Found 3 barrels and 2 tents in short order at one point.

 

Man, I hope we get a new patch and wipe soon....

- Horticulture Plots

This is not correct. Horticulture plots wipe on server resets and we have not seen barrel persistence work.

 

Not that the plot is hard to make or anything, but it shouldn't be on the status update as persistence.

So I logged into my 1pp guy and ran back to the nearest invisible police car lootbomb and there was nothing, literally nothing. The bags of books I'd moved a short distance were all gone, the blaze and bag with a longhorn and all the ammo I'd removed and hidden was gone.

 

Didn't get to check the surrounding houses, the wife started talking to me at the top of the ladder as I was checking for my stash. We finished our conversation and I hit the s key thinking I was still on the ladder, I wasn't.

 

I'm off the see what's happening on the beach.

Ok, so lootsplosions on restart are now resetting.  Piles evaporate then grow until next restart...confirmed.

 

So I was a bit bored this evening while playing, still seeking the damn elusive truck battery.  Gave up on that quest for the time-being and for now I'm using all of my OCD super powers creating a pseudo tent city just a bit south of Zelen in the hills.  If you're so inclined and have the wherewithal to identify this location from the images below, set your bearing due South, for approx. 180 paces and you will run across this camp.

 

Need something, take it, have something, leave it. Have something to say, leave a note. Share your pics here on the forum.  Curious to see how large we can grow this enclave.  Bring your barrels, trucks, blow up dolls, whatever ya got.  More time to kill? try sorting by tent, ammo, weapons, food, clothing, etc.

If you play on SW you should play SW01 with my friend and I.. Granted, it's not 1st person, but it's normally more populated and we've got a functioning truck and are working on finding a tent.

It's not Dry servers, it's Dry areas.. We weren't finding anything near Myshkino or Lopatino, but then when we went more north to some of the newer towns it was crawling with loot (in buildings! Not loot piles!)

I was on me 02 it turns out, armed 2 damaged mines right before the reset and one was still there degraded to badly damaged as expected, the other was gone.

As always I appreciate the offer but if i'm not rolling with one of my kids I play solo on low pop 1pp. I don't know what it is about in game comms but after a few minutes the disembodied voices make my skin crawl and I have to get on with my business. If I get the drop on someone and am similarly geared or better I say hi, offer aid or info, if it looks risky like geared groups I just retreat or observe.

I'm jumping back to sw 02 because I have a little better ping.

Slightly ot, I don't believe in kos but is it cool to smoke someone over an offensive name if you know he's the only other one on the server?

The loot piles are still there, yes.. But there's also towns that spawn loot (in houses/buildings), you just have to look for them..  Also, we don't use In-game comms, we use teamspeak.. 

As far as your OT question - I am generally a friendly guy, if the circumstances make it safe... but I'd kill someone for having an offensive name. Best bet is to land one in his leg, knock him unconscious, handcuff them, explain to him why you shot him, then place a lit fire in his inventory and listen to the screams.

yay, someone visited my tent - so happy now.  ^_^

When I find some very rare loot I don't need I will put it in there for sure.  ;)

 

Tent update after 3 hours session this morning.  (Tent can be located just NW of military camp west of Green Mountain UK 0-1 exp. server.)

 

- New Steyr AUG (heli loot)

- Cow & Deer steaks. (not cooked)

- TTSKO pants.

- M68 CompM2 Optics.

- Mix ammo & mags.
