You forgot to factor in the time it takes you to turn around after each exit to close the door. The time it leaves your back open to the street. Actually , now that we talk about this  I remember I shot a guy once who was closing the door behind him in Berezino. Hate to admit it, but you guys might be right here...

I don't enter or leave a building without checking my surroundings first.  I also don't stand right in front of the door to close it.  Takes a bit of practice, but most doors I can close fairly quickly... gates, however... gates are a pain in the butt.

 

I also only play Hardcore... this prevents someone from seeing me without the strong possibility that I can see them, too.

Servers restart every 4 hours. Players can travel a whole map under an hour. Why would you assume someone's there just because doors are open ??

 

I don't assume someone's there. I don't rule out someone is there if I see doors open. It's just a slightly higher degree of cautiousness.

I almost never go straight out a door from a building. I always scan the area outside through the opening, then move up to the door and peek to the left and right, and finally bolt out and get into cover. I don't care if it takes time. It keeps me alive.

That could possible be people messing with the files I've heard about and spawning the unfinished AK-47SU in.

This is incorrect, most EULA(s) will not hold up in court and publishers know this, its a scare tactic for the most part. In fact, some states have laws in place to which immediately void agreements such as this, specifically for scenarios such as this

 

In short, if I'm a publisher and I force you to agree to not bring me to public court regardless of circumstance, in order to play my game, you could agree and easily bring my to public court. Of course, there is more to it than this, but you get the idea.

Try that next time you go to court. Currently there's two sides to this issue... One side of the courts that say "click-wrap" contracts ARE enforceable and the other saying it is NOT. Enjoy spending that money trying to find out which side YOUR judge is on. :)

Didn't your parents teach you to close doors behind you?

Jokes aside, the point would be to not alert someone to your presence in an area you're looting. When I see open doors I'm immediately more cautious.

Ya name of the game is confusion haha , some people don't bother but I like to do this from time to time .

loot an apartment , close the door and if you're a bandit you could wait inside for someone trying to find loot , if you're neutral then At least you've wasted someone else's time who could have found you looting a building down the street if it hadnt been for that one apartment building door you closed (as said before people judge if a place has been looted by open closed doors , so if you close all doors you've looted already , people will be distracted looting your empty houses while your off looting the rest of the town).

Can't wait for experimental to go stable , love dayz , hate people who have nothing good to say on the forums !!( you know who you are haha)

The best way to phrase that is that EULAs are, for the most part, untested in court. Only an idiot would mistake that for a "void agreement," and only a shyster would try to convince you that they're the same.

 

No one should push the EULA issue until something so egregiously offensive and fraudulent occurs, that it is worth the risk of courts deciding that EULAs ARE enforceable. If someone picks a stupid battle, it could set a stupid precedent that we'll have to live with for a long time. In very (overly) simplified terms, that's how courts work when dealing with uncharted territory.

In Devblog video didn't they say that with this next patch they are going to add animals into game so we will be able to hunt them and cook their meat? As this next patch changelog apprerantly doesn't say anything about animals, just wondering, we won't see animals this friday :(?

No changelog has been released yet that I'm aware of. The one on the first page of this thread is for the current build. Edited by solodude23

I seem to recall reading a dev post in January claiming they already had most of the code ready for hunting already, but that they were limited to 400 animals before the server started acting up. Not sure where I read it so I can't provide a source, but that tells me they've got most of the stuff in place. But hunting is in a sense a game within the game, which should be tested properly and might need extensive work before its ready to push to experimental.

One can only speculate. And hope. :)

I'm confused lol. The title has current build version (.37) and the first page hasn't been updated since Feb 25th.

In my opinion they could throw every almost untested s**t into the exp builds! :D I love to play around with even unfinished features.

The things in the devblog are things they are working on right now in-house.  This doesn't mean they all will end up in experimental tomorrow; some may make it in, others may not.  I'm hoping hunting is coming in... I just found a cooking pot and am on the hunt for a gas stove.  I'm also interested in seeing what the detrimental effects of rain will be.  I just spent a few hours on one of those stormy DayZ days and got soaked constantly.  Life is going to get really hard once getting wet begins to damage soft gear (paper, matches, bags of rice) and making you sick.

 

For the folks on stable, the biggest shift coming for you guys tomorrow will be how melee is handled.  Not being able to swing from the lowered stance takes a little getting used to; but, once you do, it becomes second nature.

Fingers crossed my guess is that stable goes out tomorrow for u guys living in the past and with that an update to 0.42 for experiental which will probably bring the akm and the new pistol as well as possibly, hopefully some good new stuff like the new town finished and hunting as well as possibly a simple form of cooking

It doesn't sound good when you talk in an ignorant and idiotic manner whilst questioning someone else's IQ.  Just saying.  You can't even write a reply with sensible formatting, let alone the subject of your post.

 

 

Wow wow wow look what you've just said , it's perfect. I still think my formatting is better than the whole DayZ formatting. Grow some balls and admit the fact that the game has no early future fix.

We all gonna end up playing against glitchy zombies runing through the buildings and guys glitching in prision barracks. Do you know, why? Just as you've said, not only my formatting crap but also the game's.

At least I don't charge you for reading my replies Mr.Smartypants forum dude. :)  And don't forget, it's early access alpha forums so my formatting is in early alpha as well , so we'll eventually fix it sooner in 2016.

Masks were clipping through helmets, for example you could wear a gas mask and a motorbike helmet. Gas mask was also clipping through ballistic helmets. So their decision is a good thing imo. It would be nice if they introduced a new gas mask that would work with helmets such as the GP5.

 

That is the problem, (it wasn't an issue for Ballistic Helm though but some others, especially other hats.) That is the reason I've asked, Is it actually too complicated to fix the ones not working instead of full removal or limitation. If you can't even solve one issue without removing the whole feature, then god help them with other million chain of bugs.

 

And why is so imporant atm since there are loads of other really important core bugs and features are missing.  

This is just  pretending like " We're fixing things"  Oh Which one? A GAS MASK ONE with hats!!!!  And community goes like 7 years old kids were given candy bar , "WE LOVE YOU,"" it's fantastic...wohoo"

 

Well, freedom of choice anyway has to respect those as well. Wish my missus was like them, would be much more less headache .

If there will be better zombies (totally new system will be placed), I'll say "Great" . Till then, i can't understand why they can't be fixed even if they are placeholders. Not only zombies can glitch through buildings, also players. Are all the buildings and mechanics also a placeholder? If so, why we are testing some stuff that won't be in end game? Why not they adding vehicles/tents as well then as a placeholder from previous mod, why loot spawn does not get fixed? 

How come they can stress test the server and whole performance client/server side without smashing more stuff around. Right it's in process and there is a Dev progress step by step, fair enough (Turtle speed) but i see not a lot of difference and dramatically better gameplay than other DayZ mods.

 

Watched the interview of Dean and it's great what he has in his mind, but doubt that We will see those coming at the end of this year with turtle Dev speed.So instead of cheerleading, need to tap the foot and say "Come on already get serious, stop  giving candy bars around."

 

I see same kind a people in COD Community whom gone crazy of little brainwashing tools and features, yet the game was going into wrong direction and destroyed its prestige (IW series after COD4). Same for WaRZ, seen loads happy faces on forums and what happened at the end?  Some guys are easily getting hyped here.
