Might be. But playing stable, esp. on public hives, I found little interaction. It basically comes down to "shoot at what you see". Granted, there also is a lack of survival challenges (like serious illness, hordes of zombies, no food). So if there is nothing challenging you, what are you going to do?

On exp on the other hand things are new, people cannot join with their whole clan, since it is hard to get in at all, people want to talk about the new stuff.

However, time of day could surely also influence interaction.

If you want everything handed to you.... this isn't the game for you. Loot distribution is for getting people off the coast and less pew pew in cherno. I guess there will be modded servers with full loadouts if thats what you like.

I say this all the time.

DayZ has a more balanced player base before 5pm and after midnight on most weekdays.

Weekends and prime time are popular for the KoS casuals.

I think the lack of aggression people are seeing is a product of less loot/ammo.

Some level of scarcity seems to be taking hold which is making people be more selective about engaging.

Still got the join, two minutes of play, kick, repeat dance a whole bunch last night.

The on forty-five minute run I got in was, interesting. My second 1pp guy was making his way south from Svetlo running the treeline just inland of the costal towns just hitting the few lone houses on the outskirts and deerstands. Saw a couple infected and players darting around Berizino as I past. When I got to the south end of Berizino I started to veer towards the water with the intentions of checking the last few houses in the south end by the highway. Heard a chicken and chased it like an idiot with my axe finally killing it after a short chase, cool no knife. Made a stone knife outside a house and ran back to get the meat from my chicken. I had no backpack or even a shirt with pockets so figured I'd check a couple houses including the one that I made the knife outside. I was pretty excited about the chicken and got sloppy, blast righ up the stars in the tan two story and I'm face to face with a nice guy, you could tell by the motorbike helmet and raised shotgun. Boom, boom and my screen flashes red twice, I figure there's half a chance I'm really dead and it's just lagging but make a run for it to find he just broke my arm and ruined my shirt, no blood. Pretty happy I survived and retreated successfully at this point I continue south. I pick up a blue check dress along the way through the docks at Solchiny and kill another chicken at the gas station. Now it's time to eat, I go out on a point on the beach with some bushes and start the process of building a fire step by step with no free inventory space. I'm just about to pick up my hand drill and get cooking, then foot steps, I turn around just in time to take a silenced pistol shot to the face.

Good times, nice people.

Back to the join kick dance for the rest of my evening.

I'd like the stability I had late last week back, I tried the better part of six hours last night to get in game for an hour.

We had a rollback this weekend, not a patch.

And the rollback is highly unstable for most of us.

There is time today for a patch but somehow I think tomorrow or Wednesday is more likely.

I had fun playing Sunday afternoon. Lots of server resets every ten or fifteen minutes. I finally got onto a 1p server and had a solid 45 minutes of game time. Spawned at night but I had trouble navigating. I could see the stars but didn't recognize any constellations. I have always been able to find the Big Dipper and other constellations in previous builds. I don't know if that's a different time of year in the game or my elevation. There seems to be more stars than I remember but that could just be me. When daylight came I killed a rooster with a Glock and skinned and quartered it with a hatchet. I looked for an axe to build a fire to cook the chicken, also to dry my clothes as I was constantly wet even if I sprinted for awhile and my temperature rose. Eventually I found a little village and was just picking up an axe when the sever crashed. Only graphical glitches I noticed during all this time was two or three lightning bolts out of a clear blue sky.

In know you like to play survival style, but I didn't know you played hardcore survival survival style.  I would NEVER try cooking out in the open on the mainland beach.  Next time, use a house, at least they have to get inside before they can steal your lunch money.  I like the red and green houses with stairs leading up to the kitchen/living room.

After playing for awhile or right after login?

I got a bunch of 5 minute runs where I don't think I ever really was in judging by the lack of statuses, can't pick stuff up/open doors, and huge rubber banding forward or backwards from where I was kicked when I relog.

I believe it was after logging in. I was able to pick things up, and do things like cooking, fishing, etc but couldn't see any status messages so I couldn't really fish since I had no way of knowing if anything was around my bait or not.

I had a good view both ways up the beach and highway, if I had a bag it would have been no big deal. The extra time not scanning making a fire out of bits on the ground gave him a chance to get below the berm behind me.

Just saying man, if I was looking to kill some bambis, I would probably run from Berezino to Kamyshovo and back along the beach...

I would not go into a secluded house in three valleys or to the hilltop just south of Nizhnoye to look for bambis to kill...

Why not just running into the Woods? I just barbecued myself 8 rations of chicken breasts somewhere in a forest along with having a nice outdoor experience :-). Sweet apocalypse ....

Can anyone let me know if their sounds dropping out or not? Ive been having issues with Dark Souls 3 and DayZ .60, but my other games run fine! Im at a loss on how to fix it.

Ill try rolling it down the stairs a few more times I guess...

Ok thanks, that's what I was afraid of! Ill keep trying then...

If anyone has had their sound drop out permanently and knows a fix or has any ideas, itd be greatly appreciated! Pretty sure its not my drivers (as ive reinstalled between 2 different versions), updated motherboard sound drivers & disabled steam volume from windows (heard that could've been a cause), not really sure where else to look...
