1 Very, Very many crashes (and no crash logs) in 1.3 vanilla wuth 5-10+ players

2 Every time server start  some civilian sedans spawned by server spawner have collisions on map

i add logging to CarScript

Edit: It was my 4x4 that had been damaged during the update/server restart, so it was probably leaking fuel. Got an Olga which works as normal. Next server restart the 4x4 jumped over a concrete wall into a tree and had all its wheels ruined. It probably became possessed by E-demons after the update, so best just let it die...

In my experience, if I had a leak on the 4x4, the fuel gauge would start dropping the moment the engine started. Not super fast, but if you let it idle for 2 min, you were under a half tank just sitting there. If you don't notice the loss of fuel just idling, it might not be a leak. All the vehicles on my server are assembled. I'll have to go find one today and test it out.

Correction: The types.xml shows parts for the Hatchback_02, same with cfgspawnabletypes.xml but nothing for the events.xml or cfgeventspawns.xml.

No. You must add spawn points manually for Gunter.

Issues I've noticed:

1. Crouching. What is up with that damn swooshing noise? It's loud enough to alert every infected within a 50mi/84km  radius.

2. 1PP to 3PP. There is a green silhouette of the head when switching between the two views. It happens very quickly but never noticed it during the transition before.

3. Gates. Any gates built prior to 1.03 have an invisible wall that you cannot pass through when the gate is opened. *sigh*

4. Sliding down ladders. So it wears out the gloves. Then you get cut. *rolls eyes* That's fine. But they wear out WAY TO FAST.  Dial it back a tad. Please. Say, 15 ladders before the gloves are ruined. Instead of the current 5.

Do we have instructions on how to do that? Of course we can use spawn points for the V3S or Transitbus but the proper naming for that hatchack has to be entered in the cfgeventspawn.xml otherwise it wont spawn anyway. Period. Not to mention you still need details for it in the event.xml. If your going to feature a new car, shouldn't all this be done? This isn't a mod. Or is this patch a mod? At this point it might as well be if we have to fix it ourselves.

Hey guys, what does it mean to community vanilla servers? I've already noticed Gunter on sale from traders on heavily modded servers, but if I play vanilla (either community or official), can I count on finding the new car?

 I'm wondering the same thing. My party roamed the map for a solid 3 hours last night, stumbled on a dozen Gunter body panels but not a single Gunter vehicle.

I'm in agreement with the folks complaining about the gloves/ladder thing, but only for the rate of degradation. I'm fine with gloves taking wear for sliding down ladders, but it shouldn't ruin gloves as fast as it does.

I've also noticed it's difficult to remove/manipulate the tires and mechanical components of the Olga and Lada. Normally I'd drag a tire from the car into my inventory, but it appears the only way to remove a tire now is to stand over/beside the tire and use the F key. The same goes for the battery (& plug/radiator), where I had to open the hood and physically stand atop the engine block, look down at the battery at just the right angle to remove it using F. Not sure if this was an intentional change, but it's certainly an unwelcome drag to game flow.

I grabbed one and tested it. It dances about on it's tires just like the blue one. IMO it's the blue one with a red coat of paint. The Sedan is a much better car.

As i already said on page one - they forgot to add the gunther spawn points. if you dont want to add them manually, you could add the gunther to the offroad hatchback event...

something like this in events.xml

 i adjusted the spawn numbers slightly - didnt test it. there should spawn some of the new cars on ADA/Lada spawnpoints now. if you want new spawn points for the gunther, you have to create a new event in events.xml and add the spawn points to cfgeventspawns.xml

maybe that helps...

 

EDIT: Regarding the gates - one of the players on my server reportet, that you can use the gate normally again if you put nails into its inventory. even from the outside.

Yeah, it started leaking the second I started the engine.

This is all well and good - but what about public servers? Are they just not going to spawn until the devs tweak the events.xml themselves?

Why cant we just switch weapon like before? I just died for the first time in weeks cause of that stupid thing. Is that a bug or something?

Can anyone please explain what i do to cure sickness from bloody hands of killing a chicken ??

Also i cant seem to wash my bloody hands ? I play on dayzdownunder hardcore server and there is no text menu to choose to wash hands i can only drink ??

Are diseases even working ?

i do know about gloves but the water pump would not let me wash the hands (as i didnt have gloves.) 

The wiki sais Tetracycline Pills to cure it also ?

Indeed I'm pretty sure the pumps are bugged and I'm trying to get to a near by stream but thanx. So you can confirm this particular sickness works with the bloody hands? is working ?

@liquidcactus I can't confirm it's working on a vanilla server but it sounds like your playing on a modded server, in which case they are probably running a mod that has introduced the various illnesses. I run a hardcore server and I run a mod that has all the illnesses working that should be working in vanilla.

Getting sick from eating with bloody hands does indeed work on vanilla. It is food poisoning that is not working for whatever reason. It worked in 0.63 all the way up to beta, why it was taken out then is not something the devs have been willing to share. All they say when asked about it is that "food poisoning is coming back in some form". I guess they just weren't happy with how it worked in 0.63 so they're working on something different. Dirty water will also get you sick, but it is so weak that it barely has any effect, if any. It's just that ugly germ symbol that will be with you for a few hours, maybe a couple of vomits but little more.
