IMT 3190 Posted June 3, 2016 Some information about the overheating problem: if you are overheating, get drenched, make a courier bag and unequip most of your items as possible in the bag. When I did that I didn't cool of but I didn't warm up anymore either. My guess is that if you jog at that point you will actually cool off. Now is there actually a problem with body temperature? I guess it is a good discussion to bring up. In my opinion, there isn't. Why? Put on a motorbike helmet, a jacket like the hunting jacket, a warm pants and sprint the distance you sprint in DayZ. Come back to me with the results, I think you will put your clothes off very quickly. However, when sweating and getting wet from a pond or what ever and staying in the wind like that naked should cool you off very quickly. I stick to towns and the wilderness. If I really want a machine gun, I'll move a few clicks from a Military area and get into a killing position for when people exit the area in a panic. Good to know that you won't kill me then. If I hear someone running inside an house I always greet them. If I get no reaction I greet them with the name of the house they're in and I can hear them. If they didn't respond by then their hostile meter goes way up for me. But true, if one comes running in your house is a tight situation, pun intended. That guy That's the thing, if it was me I would've seen the guy and he wouldn't seen me. In your situation I wouldn't even just tried to take that shot. If someone shoots at me I get the fuck out of there and flank around the bastard. If he's following me I would lose him eventually and get the drop on him. Most people are a terrible shot in DayZ and killing a sprinting person is nearly impossible for most of the players. And I haven't even started about people's tactics and situational awareness. My biggest problem is when someone has bad intentions towards me, I need to kill them rather than play it safe and run away. That is something which gets me killed most of the times, other than that I survive my encounters. So yeah either play out situations by playing smarter than them or play it safe and run and loose them somewhere. But the most important thing: how did your encounter end? Tatanko 5591 Posted June 3, 2016 I'm seeing 56 servers up for Experimental right now, and in the last two days I've had a consistently good experience any time I've been playing it. We may not quite be ready for a Stable release, but the build out right now is pretty darn good, and the servers seem to be doing okay with it. Was waiting for that to come back, did the texture change when it was completely wrecked? Back before parts were introduced for vehicles and you could put spray cans in fires if you did it right beside a truck you could destroy it, it's texture would change and it would despawn. Later builds when explosions weren't available it seemed they would only do it if they were stuck in the map and wouldn't show a damaged texture or despawn while you were watching, only at resets I think. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I did notice some issues with chemlights lighting and colors seemed off but I am sure this has been reported. At one point the game completely hung up my system and I had to reboot but this could have been because I did not reboot for some time prior. After the reboot I did not experience this problem again. I did fall through the second floor of the bar while coming down the stairs... instant death. Additionally noticed some sound issues, etc. But nothing that probably is not being worked on. After some time my cousin and I finally met up with my cousin south of Svet. We geared up and moved to BNN, it seems that there is not much there anymore, no ATC or hangers. Are these permanent changes? Anyway we continued on to Kranostav, we were in the police station looking for gear and were talking about how people used to server hop at the police stations and how freaking stupid it is... As we were leaving, low and behold, server hopper appeared on the top of the police station ;-) He came down and my cousin took a shot missing him, so we chased him down. He came at my cousin with something in his had, frying pan maybe. My cousin took another shot, hitting him in the gut! He fell to the ground and I beat him with my brass knuckles! So much for that server hopping trash! I wandered off my island late last night to check Kami for a red9 or anything cool and made my way around to the little camp fire circle at west side of new Tulga on another server. Ran down the valley I'm used to using to get up and down the hill to find it untouched, thought it'd be where they put the ski lift when I first heard about the planned changes. Got back to my little science corner to find... Barrel still there untouched, bear trap gone presumably despawned after half an hour? **edit** Anybody seen anything spawn or despawn? I think I have seen something spawn but never seen anything other than a campfire disappear. I'm using my second computer to test time until unconscious treading water as a freshie, I'll try and put an object in view when I (try to) do a control test on land. You wish! It still looked exactly as before the crash. We could still do everything and replace parts, but it wasn't showing damage. The only things that can get (pretty much instant) damage are the doors and hoods. That's a bit of a bummer when you don't know if the car is broken and if you should spend time finding parts. It led to an interesting trip through Cherno and we were there for the netting anyway. I think it's the first time I ever roamed Cherno with an M4. I'm not that kind of guy, but there was netting there, so I had to go ^^ I think honestly the one thing they need to add to the vehicles is more (visual) feedback. I totally love that you can determine which wheel is damaged by comparing their pressurized status. The same could be done with the engine. If it is losing oil the pistons could be hammering in the engine. If it is pysically damaged the cooling system could hiss and expel steam. I'm sure there is more planned for the vehicles like that. I'm also not sure to what extend a car should be repairable. At some point it should probably be only useful as scrap for another car. So if you pass a certain threshold the car shoud become recognizable as a wreck. But even then I think there are various stages before that. A salvagable wreck would be pretty cool, imho. A smoking wreck or something for a couple hours so you or others could strip it for parts before the base vehicle respawns or it just drops it's attachable parts to be dealt with by item cleanup whenever.
