Killawife 599 Posted November 3, 2015 Its still way to easy to gear up for this to be survival. Its positive that you can now find 7.39 and 45 acp in civilian locations but after two hours I had mountain backpack, press vest, a blaze with scope, 1911 and a choice between rak or scorpion. It took ten minutes to get energized and hydrated. 0.55 was way to hard but this is too easy so theres not a lot of challenge.Other than that things looks normal for 1st exp. Lots of desync, no increase in fps, clouds cause some lighting problems that I havent had before so I turned them off and it was gone. Still no loot on military grade cars. Havent seen any zombies yet except on TRMZ stream. No new cars are sad but grenades and chickens are back. Found a new enterable chuch.
☣BioHaze☣ 7337 Posted November 3, 2015 Just for the record: .58 stable runs very well on this old (dual core) computer. .59 experimental is mostly unplayable. I have had 2 sessions which were "ok" but a struggle of sorts. This may be a warning to those who play on similar computers and have a quality experience in .58. Quad core optimization is going to squeeze us out.
BleedoutBill 1636 Posted November 3, 2015 Excuse me? Are you saying you play Dayz with a controller? I'm still mindboggled as to how that might work.I need a follow up on this, never even heard such a thing :)Once they have vehicle desync under control, I look forward to using my XB360 controller. I'd only use it for driving, though, 'cause I'm with you ... I've often wondered how people use controllers in a FPS game. That is one skill I simply do not possess!
BleedoutBill 1636 Posted November 3, 2015 I remember Hicks saying in one of the recent interviews that people were often telling him "we/I thought you knew" with regard to bugs when, in fact, you guys were not aware. When I heard that, I realized that I was guilty of this too. So I decided to make an effort to submit reports as often as I feel it is warranted and to stop letting myself believe that someone else will file a report. I have often found that my reports, even though I haven't done that many yet, were the only ones submitted with regard to that particular issue and a couple were major things that you guys were able to repro, acknowledge, and fix. That has definitely urged me on.Even if they know about a bug, they probably won't treat it as a high priority, if only two, or three folks complain about it. If something is "bugging" you (see what I did there?), you gotta let 'em know.

B) Been waiting for 0.59 to come out, so it's time to post! Likely next week I join the iChip crowd!CA gave you some solid advice. That's *very* similar to my initial build from back in February, including your GTX 750. You should have no trouble running the game @ 1080p with whatever settings you desire. Game performance with that kind of hardware is roughly equal no matter what you choose for settings, so you may as well make it pretty. Either way, you'll be enjoying better frames :)
fing24 36 Posted November 3, 2015 My first impressions of exp. I'm having lag with items in my inventory and hands, can see things on the ground, but do not appear in the local area when in inventory screen (this does not happen all the time). Seen only 1 zed so far. And the high rises have less loot in them than .58 as far as I can tell. And I have to get used to the new energy and hydrated bars. Seams to take a lot of time to get hydrated from a well. And you stay hydrated, energized and stuffed for a lot longer than in .58. And not all people are friendly some one attacked me when I logged back in after being kicked from the server. Never mind I got away from them and if they had killed me I had very little on me. Visit Cherno its such a friendly place lol.

BleedoutBill 1636 Posted November 3, 2015 Hey guys, I haven't played in a while and I was wondering if the new bow is in game yet ? If not, does the default one works ?The new bow is in the game files, but no one has reported finding one as yet. I haven't tried the improvised bow in months, so I can't advise on its status. I know that improvements are planned, but the new character controller is a prerequisite.

IMT 3190 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) Okay, so obviously I'm not going to take the time to read every single post in this thread already, but I have some questions about the radios. I''ve been killed twice now, trying to turn the radio off; and even when I immediately threw out my radio on the next play through, I could still hear people talking. judging by the content of their comms, they were between three and five kilometers away. possibly more, as I had kept traveling west, and still heard the same two people trying to meet up from around Polana and Dolina. Does anybody know if the radios are bugged, or if this simply means people were cleverly hiding and using false radio messages as subterfuge? How do you reliably turn off the radio, aside from removing the battery--which I am not 100% confident that that actually stops the thing at this point? I've had fun so far, but have not been able to make it 5 km inland without getting blasted randomly, and I am beginning to think it is a bugged radio alerting everyone in my network bubble of my location; regardless of whether I am even carrying a radio. i can constantly hear static and far-off voices, even when I throw away my radio before taking my first steps as a bambi. That's odd, mine is off and haven't had those troubles after I turned it off. It is indeed a call out for "here I am guys, take me down!" if you have it on. Try using the dropdown menu by right clicking on it and make sure it says x.xx ON, this means it's off. If it says x.xx OFF, it means it will be on and other people in the vicinity can hear people talking through it. GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SLI LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard Intel Core i5-4690K Devil's Canyon Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1150 BX80646I54690K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4600 G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL (already have a pair so going to 8gig) NewEgg = $362.81 Corsair Hydro Series High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler H60 Amazon = $59.99 (sticking with GT750 card for now, have 225 SSD, and viable tower) Likely next week I join the iChip crowd! :D Special thanks to ColdAtrophyYou lucky bastard! They really should optimize the game for AMD as well. 11 FPS in Sinistok is outrageous to be honest. And it doesn't make a difference if I put the settings to very low or very high. It only helps if I decrease the render distance but it makes the game unplayable because other players will have a great advantage. With an AMD FX-8320E Eight-Core Processor with ~3.2 GHz and an AMD R9 380 Gaming 4 GB it should perform way better in my opinion. The funny thing is, the graphic card is not mine, I have it temporary. In the other PC it had around 20 to 30 FPS in Elektro with everything at very high and I mean EVERYTHING. The difference between the two specs is the processor (mine AMD and the other one Intel, my processor is more powerful) and Windows (mine Windows 8.1 and the other one Windows 10). Even when in the forest I get 30 FPS and on the other PC it had over 100 FPS. See the difference what I mean? I hope Tatanko is wrong about the optimization until beta but I'm afraid I'm going to have to swallow it and just wait. :( I remember Hicks saying in one of the recent interviews that people were often telling him "we/I thought you knew" with regard to bugs when, in fact, you guys were not aware. When I heard that, I realized that I was guilty of this too. That has definitely urged me on.To be honest, I am guilty of this too. I should file in bug reports more often to help with development. I do post most bugs on the forum usually but I guess I need to file in a bug report and report it here for the community itself. Hey guys, I haven't played in a while and I was wondering if the new bow is in game yet ? If not, does the default one works ?I have no idea about the new bow, haven't found it yet. The default one does work but I failed with it, well kinda. I did miss the zombie but heck, I didn't miss Dudester100's legs. It would have been one for the record books to be honest. Was aiming at the zombie and panicked so I didn't watch the sway and shot right into Dudester100's legs. Edit: By the way, I have been shooting the bow a bit on stable a while ago. I'm pretty good with it on static targets. I managed to calculate the distance and aiming point a bit. My arrows were spot on, even managed to shoot through the little windows on the doors of the camping cabins, even from a distance. The only problem now is shooting under stress and moving with the bow. The latter will be fixed once the new player controller is in luckily. Killawife 599 Posted November 4, 2015 I tried one of the 1pp 75 man servers today and wow what a difference. It might have been cause the server was only half full with 25-30 players but desync was WAAAAY better than the normal servers. I only had one time in a hours playtime where I couldnt get an item to do what I wanted and then it was very short and temporary. Weapons moved in and out of quickslots fine, I could throw a smoke grenade properly and fighting zombies worked fairly well, they are a bit quirky though. A question though, has the ability to put binos and scopes in quick slots been removed? I havent got it working yet.
Tatanko 5591 Posted November 4, 2015 How are people finding the zombies ?Major cities exclusively, pretty much. I'm not sure how quickly they respawn, but if you're not looking in a big city you're pretty much guaranteed not to find them. Once you are in a city though, they should be spotted pretty easily.
