Beizs 186 Posted July 27, 2015 Performance for me has been really, really good on the non infected test servers. I've seen a few other people so far and had some interaction and, while I haven't actually gotten in any fights yet (everybody is really friendly where I've been. It's great), I've had absolutely no noticeable desync etc. Wanna check out the infected servers performance, but they're a long way away, so I don't think it'd be particularly fair comparing them to 9 ping servers. igor-vk 909 Posted July 27, 2015 Are zombies on all servers or only on special test servers? I didn't see any in previous 0.58 updates.

tcervinsky 0 Posted July 27, 2015 I just don't understand what you guys are saying. Dsync is horrible, probably worse than before, players are still killing on sight, can't jump fences, having much more problems picking things up, and I've spawn completely without clothes, filling trucks with fuel still isn't fixed.... this is a wholely mess! xCAPx 349 Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) We played not much, but it was very funny :D We played on an infected spawn test server... Infected make new sounds, when they are hitting you. It was very laggy. Hit, sounds and animation were not synced.Items like pants have new descriptions (cargo=pants), infected have inventory with (13) slots - but nothing in it :beans: Edited July 27, 2015 by xCAPx
freethink 984 Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) I was on an infected server DayZ GD 0-1 - Infected spawn test (Experimental/Unstable) and I'm in Ireland and the ping was below 100. Here's the ip:port 81.19.208.92:2302 So the euros should be able to get on. Was quite laggy once I got on tbh. Killed a couple of zeds though, for old times sake. I found the non-zombie servers quite laggy too - certainly not up the the previous .58 release. Edited July 27, 2015 by freethink
Super_Duty 466 Posted July 27, 2015 Regarding the performance hit on the GD test servers, has it been determined to be a client - server issue or possible bottle necking on the local machine due to high cpu/gpu utilization? I'm logging in now to see for myself, but though I'd ask. Having a fairly robust PC, I typically don't have the latter.
BCBasher 2465 Posted July 27, 2015 Scheduled restart at 1420 PST GMT-8?I got away form the cities on the swe 1pp zombie server an my performance is about normal considering the game is using almost 3 gigs of memory which isn't normal. Gonna verify my files while I wait for a server reboot.
Super_Duty 466 Posted July 27, 2015 Dammit, I think my dude is turning... I inadvertently remained logged in last night and look what is happening. Or, it could be from holding that damn Jerry can all night long...
Nebulae3 422 Posted July 27, 2015 Mountain backpack in 1st person mode is no, no - I doubt it's intended though in-game. Anyway, you've no chance to see what's going on behind you in 1st person mode with a mountain backpack. <_<

For me the drawback is too large to use either on 1PP.

On UK 0-1 there were some times were it took more than 1 minute to get a response like opening a door or use the right mouse, etc. Now to call it a wholely mess is exaggerated. Note that I said UK 0-1, other servers may be perfectly fine with network performance as noted by others. Edited July 27, 2015 by IMT

BleedoutBill 1636 Posted July 27, 2015 Might be isolated, that's one thing I noticed on my short stint this morning. Could jump fences fine but but my guy was going to a crouch after sometimes. That seems to come and go quite a bit ... for me, at least.
Super_Duty 466 Posted July 27, 2015 It's been on and off for all of .58. Also, odd bug with crouching at times where you should tap the same key to stand back up but no response. Sometimes it works, others not so much. That seems to come and go quite a bit ... for me, at least.

Hello there, my friend. I got a little video at 93% upload right now showcasing my side of this experience! :D Server perf was definitely kinda a mess in the Infected server. On non infected servers, I have had literally NO issues, though I haven't tried any (except 30 minutes on a 25pop server with no problems before going to the infected server) since this latest update, so maybe that's changed now. Super_Duty 466 Posted July 27, 2015 I believe this to also be related to the issue with jumping over fences and such...
Super_Duty 466 Posted July 27, 2015 Waiting patiently for your video... I'm way up north at the moment. Not to be Capt. Obvious, but we need this infected performance issue addressed. Can't be having a real apocalypse without hoards chasing you half way across town. Interestingly enough though, the server performance wasn't that bad for me when I was actually fighting the zombies... They seemed a little confused about who to attack (I accidentally KO'd one of the two guys I met and they stuck to him while I knocked them out in a little line), but the performance during the fight was actually pretty good IMO. It was more back when I was in Berezino - there was about ten minutes where the game was just literally unusable. I'm waiting impatiently for the video to process. :D Edited July 27, 2015 by Beizs

The desync is generally only noticeable while driving. I did notice something last night, though. For the past several months, whenever I'm standing at the edge of the map and looking off into the testing area, I would reliably get 180FPS. Last night I was only getting 85FPS. Additionally, I wasn't getting any FPS boosts when looking up into the sky, or down at my feet. I hope that a FPS cap hasn't been implemented. I can always cap myself by using Nvidia Inspector, if I wish to, so there is no need for the devs to "help" me with this. I'm anxious to test this again tonight on the new build. Has anyone else noticed a similar FPS cap/nerf?

Everything is fine. Made a stone knife, ate some berries, got to a pump, found some clothes and a couple rifles and ammo, cans of food. Smooth graphics, no infected anywhere, lots of rain. No problems jumping fences. Yes some players kos, I think typing goes further then talking, so I usually type and say hi and see if they run or hang out and type back.
