Was able to play for  some time this morning before going out for the day. Was surprised to see my character from yesterday still there. Since the servers had trouble connection to the database, I thought maybe we would start fresh again once the connections were properly established, even though it was the same experimental version, but no, I was still there. 

 

Having made my way already to the NWAF, I was glad to see 3 crash sites, unlooted. I left most of the items, and only took what I wanted and needed.

 

Glad to see the NATO suppressor back! 1PP character so far:

 

Not much, but enough to survive for a while.

 

Got to go away for the day, hoping to start a 3PP character tonight with some friends. Maybe go explore the new school and map changes! 

 

 

Edit: The three crash sites, findings and shenanigans...

 

Smoke barely visible on the left side, showing the third crash site.

 

 

It had been a while since I found, or searched crash sites. Always liked the Steyr AUG.

I know it's not been all that long since servers are finally back up and running, but all in all is it worth it? Just read about weapons disappearing and no Zeds (Which doesn't bug me all that much). I hopefully will be able to jump in a little later but I think I'm gonna wait for a few more reports before starting to play myself.

Do schools spawn loot?

Love it. Whilst many people on /r/ complained how this building looks anything but the school.. well,guys, you obviously weren't born in post-socialistic eu eastern country.

This building looks totally like the primary school i was visiting.

Anyway, I cant wait to go explore it.

Found loot in one of the new general stores, baseball bat and heat pack.

 

Deep thought: It's not the SA until we can't sprint everywhere.

crashes are still all on the NWAF, i really dislike this feature... i spend time to learn crashes places and optimized routine to loot them, now you just have to got to the NWAF and hope to be the first there.

 

i got my character back in veresnik, i found 3 guys there, one tried to punch me, i KO him and got his highcap vest and make his body disapear (rude boy got what he deserved !), the two other were friendly. i was amazed how quick military places were emptied, i didn't even try to go to the NWAF after veresnik, people were obviously already there.

 

i lost around 3 SKS, didn't really understand how. i looked back where i picked up my truck but nothing. my truck was finally stolen in novaya petrovka while is was looting, the guy stopped a few minutes after, i didn't took a shot, it was a fair game  :) .

 

didn't found any new feature and i have looted lopatino, vybor and isolated places. i didn't experienced any improvement in FPS, it still run crappy on a very high end computer, i'll try on my on laptop to see if improvement concern low end computers.

 

i'm looking for an AK, 74, 74U or AKM, but i'm afraid that it will be impossible after the initial loot frenzy. with a little luck, loot will respawn ! i noticed that loot explosion seems to be more rare.

 

edit : DAM i was looking for the scope, looted aroun 20 deer stand but no luck  :( , glad to hear that it has been fixed :thumbsup:

Berezino spawn. 40min around the town. Got everything i need. Even found a tent. :) no zeds and no eating or drinking noices. Now some food in real life and then back to exploring the experimental.

Coldatrophy, Well... it did get pushed through but there are quite a few issues like no loot, no zeds, no nothing. DayZ at it's rawest, most intense experience when it comes to straight survival.

I thought they made it pretty clear they wont be having zeds until they can fix the performance with them. the items not spawning is actually a bug.

- pitched a tent and made a garden plot; planted some tomatos
- I came back from looting a town, the most items in the tent became invisible
- I logged out and in, some items were visible but has no textures and/or the qantity was warong (0 instead of 40rounds, etc.)
- same with arrows; the bow shows an arrow but there is none; right klick on arrow=receiving...
- also happens with other items (tomatos, ammo, etc...)

Met another starving player inland. He begged me for food but I had none. He asked where the pump was and I showed him the way then shot him as he drank. Took his stuff then carried on and found a deer stand with a rangefinder and bi pod. Tried to drag bipod onto winchester, winchester disappeared.

 

Karma is a bitch.

 

So how do we get rid of the sick status? Charcoal tabs?*

• Vaulting works correctly every time. I still spam the button like crazy but it always works first time.

The hotbar is working pretty well. Haven't had anything mess up while using it.

When you stand too close to a fire, you get this message. I didn't screenshot it at the time, but this is what the message said:

Game has been working great for me, overall.  Sometimes, when i open inventory, my rifle is gone, but I hit my hotbar and it appears again.

 

There seems to be many instances of item ghosting all over, from AKs on the ground to weapons in the inventory.

 

Wool coat inception is back.  Mini loot bombs with chest clothing. You can go into a building with coat bombs and pick up the whole room because of loot inception.   :P

 

Apples are pretty OP, when you find them.

Audio for repeater loading plays every time I load the game.

 

It played in 2 parts and the 2nd time I could see the loading animation in my inventory.

Welp, suddenly, after being punched in the head while changing my video settings and respawning, I'm unable to play the game. I'm currently recording while playing, so I'll try without recording after I restart my computer.

 

Literally, I get on, hop on a server and about 30 seconds later, DayZ just crashes. Hope a simple restart fixes this.
