So true. I just usually find SKS or AK SU there. Friend found an AK 72 yesterday. BTW, why doesn't the scope fit the AK72? Doesn't its body have a scope rail?

 

I am wondering how loot tables will be changed after todays update. With a few tweaks and with cooking working again, this could be a small but great update! I need to find handguns again, they are so rare. I haven't seen even a 1911 in this update. Also, were mines not in the release, or did I just not see any yet? I've been in all areas and all over the map and yet have to find one. I did see one chainsaw though, in Berezino.

I dont know the technical RL reason but this is how it goes ingame;

 

 

you cant attach PSO on ak74 altho u you can attach plastic rail handguard. You can attach silencer, bipod, flashlight to it.

 

You can attach PSO on AKM, but cannot attach silencer.

 

You can attach PSO&silencer&handguard(bipod,flashlight) on AK101.

 

That being said, 101 is def. my favourite as i dont need a 75rnd mag and i come/came across allot of nato rounds, heli hunting and stuff.

Its the only AK member that allows me to use pso+silencer. It also looks beyond badass.

 

I have all of the mentioned ARs on my priv. chars. I apologise in advance if i mixed any attachment up, im 99% sure this is how it worked in 054

Good to see they're trying to get us an update with cooking ware, matches etc today. I am very hopeful this will be fixed as i'm starting to get short on food :)

 

Been surviving off the land in the North since the update and my character has been through hell and back from the infected, to bandits, to simply surviving. Ran into a few players who felt the conversation was better suited with the use of bullets but thankfully I came out on the winning end of those meetings. I mainly found myself happy to have found food and other gear suited for hunting/gathering over the usual guns and ammo upon looting these poor survivors. I thought that was an interesting milestone for myself personally. 

 

I am happy to report I am fully hydrated, healthy and energized currently, but I ran into a strange glitch and/or bug upon a scheduled server restart that I have not been able to replicate again but wanted to mention it here. Right before the server restart my character was showing bright green for hydration and energy. As soon as I logged back in upon the server coming back up, I found my status in both hydration and energy to be RED. Thankfully I had a friend logged in near me, and I had a few cans of soda and beans, but in that very short time, I lost nearly all my blood and my screen was black and white. Its as if several game time hours went on between the server going down and restarting. Anybody else found their status like this upon logging back in? I really wanna report it on the feedback tracker if I can replicate it again.......

 

For those who are having a hard time getting healthy, just know its possible if you dedicate your play time to it. Hunt, loot, do whatever it takes b/c it is possible:

 

Also I have noticed now upon finding 4 police cars that were all stuck in fences, they spawned zero loot.....might not having anything to do with the fences, but thought it odd and too coincidental. 

 

Stay strong survivors. Its a Jungle out there ;)

^In this town I saw a police car and didn't get excited as all of the ones I've found prior were looted.

You were leaving the town (village?) of Вышное (Vyshnoye), according to the sign.

With Russian-style road signs, the red diagonal strikethrough means you're leaving the town borders, one without the strikethrough means entering.

It's useful when determining the speed limit, since the speed within town and village borders (as marked by such signs) is implicitly limited at 60km/h, unless explicitly posted otherwise. I'm surprised police cars don't spawn near those signs, as it's usually where the cops like to sit and drink vodka, waiting to pull over unsuspecting motorists for speeding and shake them down right as they cross the town border. :D

No rain at the moment, perhaps again after the patch. 

 

It says server updates will be done at 16:00 CET when it always turns out to be 17:00-18:00. I think the devs should just say 17:00 in the future. I just came home, excited by the update and it's still in progress.

Yup, I had just leaving town after my triumph over an infected local and the liberation of loot from the police car and thought I would grab a shot of the name on my way out to try to verify where exactly I was. Thanks!

 

Yeah.... this car was in a dirt lot outside one of those gray warehouse/barn things with the yellow and black stripes on the entrances, on the other side of town from where I took the pic.

I really hope this update fixes the fish , I hate being able to fish 'em out of the pond only to have to eat it raw and get sick :/ ... When filleting fish is fixed and more animals are added (only seen one this entire patch) I'll be an even happier camper , as this patch is already awesome just has a few flaws , one of which (the lack of cooking supplies and matches) is already being addressed :)!

Our tents are still there and no gear was lost! Loot doesn't seem to have respawned, so essentially it is the same situation as yesterday, but hopefully the fixes work. Will try to fish and cook later. Looking forward to finding netting again! Kudos to the devs - looking good!

Cookingpot is the thing. And matches or flares. I have no trouble with too little food on servers that actually have loot (no idea if there are still some out there that are bugged), but I only ever found one flare, no matches, no pot, ... . Do you still have the pot and matches / flare from the old build or did you actually find both? If you found the stuff, congrats! Well, there is still apples and berries, so no one really has to starve unless he chooses to do so anyways.

Found the matches is a house stacked in a hidden fireplace under the floor west of green mounten, and the cookingpot was given to me from a college survivor.

I'm playing on a privat server (fragnet) and my tents are still on their places (since april,3rd) after the maintenance. Even the backpacks are there.

Maybe you're lucky too and persistence is working on your server!

Loot distribution adjustments and loot fixes ... don't think we would need an update just for distribution, imo that would only be needed server side...and I did download 12.9mb ... Eugene twittered about the update: https://twitter.com/eugenharton/status/585826920534794241

 

Some other source, don't aks me where I just read it, said that it's concerning cooking pots, matches, ... .

 

"The update only fixes the issues with 7 specific items, private shard issue will require a larger update. Working on it." ... the private shard issue will hopefully be done soon, but at least they found it ... well think they found it, one never knows :)

I didn't know that was a bug, just figured my knife was horrible. You can still eat the guts. :D

 

One thing that I'm really looking forward to getting fixed is it being so damn sunny all the time.

I finally found some matches this morning, an hour or so ago.  No cooking pot or tripod to be found, but I didn't search too intensely.  Still like zero loot in barracks and mil buildings.
