ADDED

  • Added the SVAL rifle
  • Added the 20 round magazine for SVAL and VSS
  • Added new textures for the static (abandoned) M3S truck
  • Added abandoned truck parts for M3S
  • Starting a vehicle engine now slightly depletes the battery
  • Added flags of the winners of our base building contest
  • Garden plots can now be removed with shovels and pickaxes

FIXED

  • Fixed an exploit to look/glitch through walls
  • Plants could not become infested
  • Fixed a server crash related to pulling corpses out of vehicles
  • Fixed a game crash connected to item attachments
  • The player can no longer execute certain actions when their legs are broken
  • The player can no longer dance with a broken leg
  • Preparing Mackerels or the Carp did not stain the player's hands with blood
  • An applied splint would disappear if the player's inventory was full at the moment the healing was completed
  • The Pumpkin Helmet was still shining when ruined
  • Flares shot by the flare gun often disappeared inside objects
  • The glow of the flare was immense when seen from up close (now scaled with the distance)
  • Getting out of a car could result in the character appearing on the roof when an object was on the exit position

  • The inventory of improvised shelters could be accessed from the closed-off sides
  • Infected could hit the player through shelters and tents
  • Infected could enter closed-off containers (variants 2A and 2B)
  • Infected would glitch into players during combat

  • Bodies of infected would sometimes rotate while already dead
  • The wrong particle effect was displayed when hitting infected with a Pipe, Wrench, or a Lug wrench

  • Camera clipping issues in the big ATC building and airfield service hangar
  • Infected walking through service hangar doors
  • Several object placement issues on the Chernarus terrain

CHANGED

  • Updated the Tarp (Fabric) durability, textures, and inventory view
  • More tools can be used to slice pumpkins
  • Reduced initial velocity of the 5.56x45mm ammunition by 9% to match real values
  • Barbed Wire and Fire now deal damage to infected and animals
  • Deployed Barbed Wire can only be dismantled from inside on Fence and Watchtower
  • The fireplace now warms a larger area, with the maximum heat reaching further
  • Lowered the maximum heat of the fireplace
  • Updated the credits
  • The flare from the signal pistol now falls down slower
  • Heavy items carried in hands are now dropped when the player goes for a swim

CENTRAL ECONOMY

  • Changed: Reduced the amount of ammunition and magazines
  • Tweaked: Deagle and Revolver now spawn in Towns only
  • Tweaked: Repeater tiers adjusted from Tier 1,2,3 to 2,3,4 (Chernarus)
  • Tweaked: Batteries won't spawn with a full charge anymore
  • Fixed: Spawn points on Land_Castle_Stairs_nolc
  • Fixed: BearPelt was missing

SERVER

  • Added: timeStampFormat now supports two additional options "ShortTZ" and "FullTZ" which will append the time zone in UTC (RPT log only)

LAUNCHER

MODDING

  • Added: IsBoxCollidingGeometry, an extended version of IsBoxColliding, with parameters to fill in what geometries to check against (primary and secondary)

Yea yea bug fixes and all but when can you fix the cars?Because when you enter one on a high populated server the,as the driver the camera goes like someone is shaking the car like crazy or when you drive the car suddenly turs left or right.Please FIX THE CARS OR REMOVE THEM.

gotta give it to ya thats a beastly fix list, i hadnt realised this update wasnt focused on content, but this is great and cant wait to see what youve got content wise in 1.12

lol we have known for weeks that this was going to be a complete wipe... all characters.. all servers... back to day 1 in dayz

Didn't see that.

Still fierce annoying though. Think I might give DayZ a rest for a while. I'm in no humour to gather everything again.

 

 

BTW, is it a character wipe or a stash wipe as well?

Complete wipe of the whole database, characters, bases, stashes. It's a new start for everyone.

I noticed dayz commented on twitter that they have added cross play but i see nothing in the update patch notes. Is this true?

Weird stance IMHO, I always saw and see the 'starting fresh' as part of the experience and very fun. The way is the goal says Confucius.

You have seen the post of some spoof/fake account. DayZ has no crossplay, will probably never have.

Feel the same. Spawning fresh in and build up your character is one of the most fun parts of the game. When I am all geared I found myself to wander around aimlessly from time to time. But to each their own of course.

It is a full wipe for everyone... this is to clean up the servers... better perfomance... less lagg.. less cars flying... 

You should NOT be annoyed by this... this is actually a REALLY awesome thing to happen... because who knows what kind of garbage did the dupers make that nobody not even devs and even dupers know that was causing the lag...

Did you try updating your drivers? And if they are... uninstall them preferably with DDU and then reinstall it and try again... 

AMD drivers are weird... i bet it's their fault

or you could play on a servers thats not overloaded or underpowered. They aren't perfect, but they are 1000x better.

Did you read the 2020 year in review where they talked about  working on it for 2021? Did you read the release notes above that don't say anything about fixing cars?

lol, come on, its not going to affect flying cars. Those are a function of server-side physics + any server or client lag [underpowered or overloaded].

Other than that, its a very good. things. All sorts of great loot table changes made over the last 6-12 months and now the team will see how they affect gameplay when everyone starts fresh (some people have forgotten part of the CLE design is to push you off the coast). Hard to really truly test that when merging changes and everyone is fully geared.

Didn't see that on twitter. Do you have a link? are you confusing ps and xbox last gen to current gen play?
