Tyler Tee H C 102 Posted April 18, 2019 (edited) Hats of to this Team of Survivors whom have not only built a Great Base, but have done it well. These Chaps are ON POINT and extremely HANDY in situations as me and my Team mate found out. Via a two day trip back to the Coast. BUT and I must emphasis, BUT they did invite us back for an Armed Escort and a FRIENDLY AF Tour of the complex. Now I kind of don't want to share this adventure as I feel that it might bring them a bit of attention. And that is NOT my intention. My intention is to show people the adventures that can play out if you actually reach out and try to communicate and Interact, instead of going Gung Ho and KOS'ing. We came across this ''COMPOUND'' Late one night, just as we was ready to jump off for the night. AND it was Night Time in the Game too, so we decided to call it a night and make a mental note of location. Next Morning bright and Bushy Tailed we set off to have a ''Gander'' at the Base we had spotted. The following link is what happened. Unfortunately you don't see us BOTH get Pwnd by the one Survivor. But I was KO'd and he brought me back round after bandaging me, but I was still losing a lot of Blood and Died on the spot. Sorry I didn't capture that, but I had gained a lot of respect for these guys and I didn't want to stream the ''RAID'' if you can call it that. LOL. Later that Day me and my pal got an invite to a party and asked if it was us that was at the Base ? We admitted we was there, and that we respect the fact that we was Killed. These Guys then asked us if we would like to return to get our Gear Back. To cut a long story short, we did return. And they were very professional, Proficient and actually very Hospitable. We asked whether we could stream the visit and they were kind enough to say yes. We had ONLY 2 conditions. 1. Drop our Guns and Clothing etc at Visual Distance, and 2. Stay in 1st Person Perception. Which is fine for me as that's how I like it. When we got into the base as you will see we was Given Fresh Clothes and shown around. PLEASE RESPECT THESE GUYS AND DONT GO HUNTING AS YOU WILL FACE THE WRATH OF ALL INVOLVED. I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THERE ISNT A SERVER THEY WOULDN'T GO TO MAKE YOUR DAYZ LIFE A MISERY. Unfortunately and unintentionally our host did not include his voice in the clips. But he was totally a gentleman. And we left there alive afterwards with gifts. JUST SEE IT AS AN INSIGHT INTO WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN YOU ACTUALLY INTERACT. I would just like to thank those ''LUCKY'' Guys for being absolutely true to their word, and for allowing us to see all their hard work. I am totally gushing and blowing smoke up their arses during the stream but I was honestly totally blown away by their efforts. And for that I have a lot of Respect. AND INSPIRATION. DO IT RIGHT GUYS. Edited April 18, 2019 by Tyler Tee H C added link 1 1
Man Parts 241 686 Posted April 18, 2019 Should've at least took pics and a video and posted them. Sure people would figure out the general location, but finding the server would take a while. Ionno, I just want to see it for myself is all. I honestly stopped reading at like the third paragraph. Figured you wouldn't be showing us anything so what's the point.
Tyler Tee H C 102 Posted April 18, 2019 There is a video what more do you want ??? If you had read past line 3 you’d know my point. NEVERMIND.
Nayte 503 Posted April 18, 2019 Good stuff, I love reading about theses types of encounters. To me, that’s the way you’ll get the full DayZ experience.

And to be clear.....duping DOES make then A-Holes.

Tyler Tee H C 102 Posted April 19, 2019 They do have a BIG clan half Americans half Brits and they cycle the play times. Its called organised and efficient
Flyingpapaya 86 Posted April 21, 2019 (edited) That would be impressive if they weren't dupers...... Just a bunch of cheaters. Edited April 21, 2019 by Flyingpapaya
DayzDayzFanboy 1280 Posted April 21, 2019 (edited) Hmm, I'd be reluctant to accuse someone of duping just because they have built a big base. Me and a mate built a sizable compound with two cars and a ton of buried gear in around five days. If there are a lot of you collecting materials then I don't see that it's hard to achieve without duping. From what Tyler says, they sound like decent guys. People are quick to accuse people of duping without knowing for sure, just because they have decent gear. All I will say is this. I feel base building is a pointless activity and hiding loot is much more useful. I don't think building a base serves any real function. They are not protecting anything. The compound me and my mate built was dismantled over night by a squad of six teenagers who'd been harassing us for some time. The stole the cars which they abandoned later in broken condition. They found two buried chests which to be fair weren't in very well hidden locations and then spent the night taking down every bit of structure we'd spent a week building. I don't want to sound salty about this. But I am! I don't mind being raided and having gear stolen. Including the cars. Personally if I found something I wanted I would take it. But dismantling everything...i just don't get the mentality. Edited April 21, 2019 by DayzDayzFanboy

For . . . .The fact that it is there and others complain of being locked in the database, and losing game hours, kind of goes in their favour. I wrote some other stuff, but its probably best not to comment further, you just have to hope admins and BI are killing off the cheating. 2 hours ago, DayzDayzFanboy said: I feel base building is a pointless activity and hiding loot is much more useful. My base used to protect me from wolves, but in the end you have to go out into the world or you just sit there and watch it go by. (Also because I am now very lightly loaded (after dying twice), having newly respawned ( - village server wipe), I have 3 rounds of 9 mm in a magazine and no gun, a skorpion with 9 rounds in a magazine . (I found the gun and magazine in the same place - a first) .. , multiple knives and an axe. All my clothes are now damaged, from encounters with zombies that will not go down . .. ) 2 hours ago, DayzDayzFanboy said: The compound me and my mate built was dismantled over night by a squad of six teenagers who'd been harassing us for some time. It would be nice if, with a spade, an axe and a gun you could go into the woods, and build a small well disguised shelter that you could store stuff in, safe from wolves, only from the trees and other raw materials around you. It would even be interesting finding abandoned versions of the same And on the subject of KOSing, my number of encounters ending in my termination, or severe injury has hit 80% to 20% friendly and I havent killed anybody yet, I will have to review this position . . DayzDayzFanboy 1280 Posted April 21, 2019 Yeah I agree with your comments. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed collecting gear and building the base. It was a project that I had a lot of pleasure from. To be honest, I'm not actually that salty about it being dismantled. I just think well, my time was well spent and there's wasn't. If it wasn't for the idiots in this game it would become dull quite quickly. I've had a go at base building now and enjoyed it but don't feel the need to build another one, yet. Same with cars. I enjoyed getting them running but again a lot of hassle and then too much effort to hide them and too much worry about losing them. I like rolling on foot and I like hiding bits of stash here and there. If I find containers I tend to bury them near the coast with a pistol and mags and ammo so I can easily find a working sidearm if I respawn but loot hoarding on general seems fruitless. I honestly don't get why people hoard so much gear. Each to their own, but I enjoy the looting journey.

But dismantling everything...i just don't get the mentality. Sounds like my own experience on base building. Had a great time building my base and in the first few weeks I only had the regular break ins by destroying one wall. However, after coming online after a few days of not playing, I just found my whole base to be dismantled. Only the foundations were still standing. I even went on a journey to find nails... Finding 5 boxes and used them all the rebuild a good portion of my wall. Couple of days later, even those rebuild walls were dismantled. Why somebody would take the time to just ruin somebody's base goes beyond me... Until they balance it, I have no interest in building a base any more.

Sometimes KOSing might be a tactical choice, but also I had my fair share of players that did anything to kill me while I had nothing. Nevertheless, it is on Bohemia to balance base building. And I know it can be tricky as everyone has a different idea on what is too difficult or too easy to raid.
ZXDMCFCWoody007 23 Posted April 23, 2019 I was initially dubious and haven't watched all this yet but if it is the same orange armband guys I have bumped into a few times then they definitely have enough players to build a base that big without duping. At my last count I guestimate a clan of around 15+ but that's probably a lower than actual number.
Flyingpapaya 86 Posted April 24, 2019 Except the sheer number of duplicate items they had shows they duplicate.
Tyler Tee H C 102 Posted April 25, 2019 I asked them if they duped ? They said they did not. They did say they got majority of it from Base Raiding. They have around 15 Brits and the same or more US players who cycle their play hours. And yes you only saw 2 didn't you ? Trust me there was NOT just 2 of them. There was 2 of them visible yes. Someone has been server hopping into this base since this video went up, and I did cop the blame for it. Rightly so, but it was not me. And to those whom it may have been … At least fight for your stuff. Combat Logging is also cheating. So if you have two cans of Bacon you a duper because they are duplicates of one of the 3-4 types of big can food goods ??? The game is FULL of duplicate items. each can each bottle is not individual. There is only so much gear in the game and so you are going to get doubles and more if you go and collect in multiple places with multiple hands. But maybe just maybe these Guys were building their tits off whilst MOST players were trying to measure there winkies by trying to hold solnichy Factory for weeks, or KOS'ing Bambi's on the Coast ?????
