Experimental Update 0.63.149653

Hello Survivors,

the Experimental branch is receiving a new update, version 0.63.149653. To ensure this versions stability and find bugs, please try to play preferred on the Experimental branch. Let us know about possible issues here or on our Feedback Tracker at feedback.dayz.com.

Please keep in mind that Experimental updates are not available for server files or modding tools yet. Those will be updated with the Stable release of the patch.

PATCHNOTES

ADDED

  • Added: Sounds for base building
  • Added: Heat haze/shimmer
  • Added: New UI icons
  • Added: Additional sounds for animals
  • Added: Additional sounds for jammed weapons
  • Added: Horticulture (limited to garden plot and still WIP)

FIXED

  • Fixed: Client/server crashes
  • Fixed: Client/server errors related to in-game actions
  • Fixed: Missing recoil animation for the BK-133
  • Fixed: Quick bar may get stuck under some circumstances
  • Fixed: Environmental issues (wrong/missing collisions/roadways, incorrect textures/occluders)
  • Fixed: Player cannot be restrained while having burlap sack
  • Fixed: Infected do not react to another gunshot if already chasing after one
  • Fixed: Infected attempt to attack the player through wall instead of walking around it in some situations
  • Fixed: Infected climb stairs slowly
  • Fixed: Attached attachments for PlateCarrierVest have the wrong position

TWEAKED

  • Tweaked: Vehicles simulation
  • Tweaked: Infected AI (WIP)
  • Tweaked: Damage system
  • Tweaked: Base building
  • Tweaked: Hunting jacket camouflage
  • Tweaked: Handling sounds for weapons

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Exiting a car while it's in gear (not neutral) can ruin the engine
  • Heavy melee attacks are currently default, until stamina is depleted
  • Server crashes can cause a persistence wipe. So especially for server owners, try to work with regular persistence backups and if you encounter server crashes, report with your crash dumps to our Feedback Tracker.
  • Voice chat can become dysfunctional for characters in groups of 3+

well almost nothing new than the previous build, also the Main bugs such as persistence and heavy attack bugs are still intact... you guys sleeping in the office ?

Problems with "costum time" after Server restart are fixed?

does the server start again with the time it is set?

Gun sounds fixed, melee ? not had an issue with that unless you mean stun lock, persistence is mainly server crashes, many crashes have been fixed.. dont gripe about stuff already fixed in exp .. that has yet to make over to stable

Yes the complete dev team should stop everything and fix this, even moddelers and scripters and engine programmers who know nothing about this should stop all work and fix this.. /s

Yup, please don't push to stable, there is lots of teleportation going on and zeds are quite retarded. Also the numbers are oversized now imo. They almost entirely cover up the image for example on ammunition, so now you always have to hover over it to determine what ammo it is.

The THIRD KNOWN ISSUE relating to crashes wiping persistence for private servers should be top priority on the fix list.  Server owners cannot get people to play because base building is not worth it...period.  Regular backing up of persistence is great and all but it doesn't hold a candle to a game that can actually save player data properly without dumping it all due to a server crash.  TOP PRIORITY!

Fixed: Client/server crashes.

Every server crash fix is a fix towards the persistance problem.

But it's not a permanent solution, only blind shooting, without knowing if its fixed or not. They should implement some system that would backup every file and prevent wiping from anything that could happen,  In Arma 2 Dayz mod, it works perfectly, I don't understand why they do not create something similar...

Is the PU scope supposed to shake when ur cold? 

It doesnt, but the front Iron sights are shaking in the bottom of the scope, so it seems like it should.

My opinion... The lightning bolt is not a good choice for "Food/Energy". Thirst and Hunger should be together on the hud, instead of having temp and germs between them. Blood and Health are too similar. I like the general look and design of the status indicators, however.
