Well like I mentioned, the longhorn, I believe, will reload by pressing the key. The blaze is basically the same thing except a longer and an extra barrel heh. Simply having a key binding would make sense to simplify the whole process while not being unrealistic. 

 

To not have this would seem a little silly. I've noticed on experimental, you can load weapons on your shoulder or in your inventory without having to place it in your hands. 

 

Just observations. It's been a fun game either way .. I'm pretty new to it with about 100hrs or less in game time at the moment.

Well I guess you're also right but that would totally ruin the purpose of a clip for example for the SKS, Mosin, etc. So in my opinion the reload button only should be used when someone has a magazine or a clip for the weapon. Edited July 8, 2015 by IMT

Can any one spread some light for me on the CLE.  Been in one area for over 24hrs and the knife I droped is still pristine and not much has changed in the houses at my location. Are things degrading and spawning out of existence to be replace? I thought that was they way things where going as part of CLE.  Before the server reset and we lost all are tents and stashes I had emptied out a house of its contents and looked 24 hrs later nothing had respawned in the house and every thing was on the ground where I had left it. Funny thing after reset all the clothes had moved back into the house lol or so it seemed.

Can openers are so last week! You can find a can opener around any rocky area basically heh except you can do more with it than just open cans.

Not necessarily. If you have the weapon clips, you could reload it much faster compared to one round at a time. Perhaps if you slow the reload speed of loading by one round at a time it would somewhat balance it. One is faster if you have the clip, the other is just a little slower but faster than having to open up the inventory every time.

Any idea how many spawn points there are in-game? :) I know how many but I don't know it on the spot, have to check it up. The chance a loot spot being filled is small.

Hit or miss with the apples. After I got killed today, I was lucky enough to get 4 within a couple of minutes and maybe one or two after that to hold me over until i got more inland.

Truck persistence works like this, If the truck is not completely destroyed it's location at at reset is persistent. It will respawn with new tires, a full tank with no holes in it, and any other damage repaired. The contents of it's inventory will be gone, the only thing I haven't tried is leaving the glow plug and battery in but would assume they poof too.

 

I cant figure out how to make an explosion without grenades or the aerosols in a fire working to completely destroy one but in .55 an explosion would cause the truck to despawn and presumably respawn at reset after a short time.

Sheds are your best bet for seeds. I've picked up pumpkin seeds a few times in 0.58, but I haven't played in a day or two.

I've seen lots of seeds laying around. You just have to get lucky and hope some hopper/hoarder hasn't gotten to them first.

LOL I have an extra in case I meet someone that doesn't shoot me. I also have 10 pumpkin seeds and a bottle of water and a can of peaches that I always try to keep. It's horrid to pass up loot because I am hauling around some make friends gear :-P

I've found 3 packs of pumpkin seeds so far and I just passed by the 2 packs because 1 pack is all you need, harvest pumpkins and cut them up and you get lots of seeds. So far all three in sheds.

I always pick up the first pack of pumpkin seeds I see and you're set. Every one you cut into slices nets you 20 pristine seeds. I didn't get any on my spawn after the last persistence wipe but I was on a mission and wasn't looking.

 

Cooking with a stick is working fine BTW.

Sardines area sea-only, as they are a saltwater fish. I'm unsure if you can use the Fish Net Trap in fresh water, since I've heard mixed reports.

So I made a fire, and may have pressed "take", which as you may know allows you to literally pick up the camp fire.

I hesitated about 3 seconds before getting it back on the ground, and stayed in the area not thinking the temperature would still be affecting me.

Got the message saying "my face is melting" and rolled on the ground for a bit.

Now I can't remove my helmet or gas mask!

It may just have been inventory glitches, but only those two things can't be removed. Most intriguing.

Your facial equipment has been fused with your face. I hope you liked that stuff a lot / didn't like your face at all, as it's permanent.

 

In all seriousness though, I got the "face melting" notification a couple of patches ago, but it did nothing to prevent me from removing any equipment. I was only standing on top of it while lighting, rather than trying to put it in my inventory, so maybe our two cases are different.

 

I'm quite fond of keeping my face separate from my balaclava and firefighter's helmet, so I'm gonna stay away from testing this out for the time being  :P
