Spawned at Svet on the new EXP, ran to the docks, checked the warehouses and the little guard building, within 2 minutes I had a pickaxe, Smersh Backpack AND Vest (Which I have never, ever had before!), FNX and dot sight, binoculars, military boots, AK, AKM and SKS magazines, Kashtan (sp?) sight, can opener and a hatchet... Did my NE run to the little fishing village and found a hunting jacket and M65 jacket in a house.. Now just looting that area until I move North to the holiday camp.. Kind of pleased to find so much awesome stuff, especially the Smersh stuff, but it was a tad easy, nice to see it all though for once.. Loads of high cap vests, boots, ammo and stuff at the little guard station on the Svet docks. Server just crashed so logging back in now to continue my scavenging.. No zombies as of yet though!

That's a little depressing to hear of lootsplosions like that, especially with mil loot. It's just something we can hope is improved with further development of CLE. I'm happy you got to play with new stuff though. :)

Yeah like I said, it was very, very easy, I even found a Winchester, ammo and a load of canned food and drink at my favourite fishing village (so basing myself up there when barricading comes in!).. So I am basically self sufficient almost immediately.. To be honest, I will probably go and find an animal to test the Winchester on and then head down to the coast and give it all away to a new spawn and start over, I don't like to gear up that easily as now I basically have nothing to do other than wander about and hope to find an SVD or VSS..

On a side note, after the server crashed and I logged back in, the dot sight on the FNX was gone, not on the gun, not in my inventory, just completely gone.. So be warned people :)

How many zeds are there? More or less than on monday? Who the hell works on sunday evening (it was 11PM in Prague when zeds returned) ??? How about desync, inventory response, desapairing of items?

I tried playing without zeds, but I just couldnt.

1.  Seemed the same but I didn't check the whole frigging map either.  I aggroed 6 around the fire house.

2.  I don't know

3.  I don't know

4.  Inventory and hot bar were still messed up, items were still disappearing.

I havent played the .56 experimental yet but I was wondering, are the zombies still silent when attacking, Do they still have the 10 foot reach, and do they still get through doors? Has melee improved any?

 Thanks

Anybody else had disappearing fireplaces? Like I craft one, it's visible, then a couple seconds later... gone.

I had this happen to me, but only once in 6 camp fires created, and somehow it was still visible for my friend. He interacted with it (added some wood) and then it re-appeared for me...

I haven't got an infected walk through a door in a few months honestly. They do make footsteps sounds, and growls when they aggro/attack.

I haven't melee something since suppressor, and more aggressive infected were added, so I have no clue.

Got the chance to play again just a little while ago. Items are surely spawning again, as I'd found multiple food items. (2 bags of rice, 1 powdered milk, 2 cans of peaches, 3 bacon, 1 baked beans and 1 spaghetti.) In may places that couldn't really be avoided. Or, players are not looking carefully enough, and are passing lots of life saving supplies.

While I was eating food that I'd just found, saw a fellow survivor run a bit carelessly on the road. (I never follow roads...) Good thing I wasn't a cannibal or killer.

21ebypi.jpg

He really seemed to be in a hurry...

I continued my search for the elusive hunting scope. As I was pretty close, I went ahead and checked the NWAF. Plenty of infected there, so I was feeling safe there wasn't another survivor there. GLad I didn't stumble into any loot explosion, but there was still some items here and there.

Got caught off guard by a crawling infected, going 30 kmph, that totally scared the shit outta me!!

Left the airfield, going west towards Lopatino, and finally found  a hunting scope, but in a feeding shack and not a deer stand! (which I searched about 25-30 of them)

This was all on 1PP. Again, I had a good time. Was glad to see the infected are back, but food wasn't as scarce as it was. I didn't have to hunt or harvest anything in this play session.

Finished with all this. Gonna switch to the 3PP servers to see if I can get as much, and maybe find another hunting scope to try on the repeater.

Again, there was a lot of loot at the initial startup. Losing my Sporter w. hunting scope to wipe doesn't feel so bad anymore, as I already found a hunting scope and 30rnd Sporter mag :D

Cle is slowly getting there, even though there is still a lot of work. There are a lot of lootgasms, but not to the extent of pre-0.56 persistence off -servers. In a day or two we are back in barren Chernarus, which is cool difficulty-wise, but makes for a somewhat boring gameplay for those who start anew. It's kind of a same problem as in 2017 mod where the hardcore low-loot gameplay was cool, as in it made finding anything more rewarding and the struggle to stay alive was very real. Still, not finding anything anywhere made the world seem kinda stale and empty.

I'd like to see more trash- and semi-useful loot spawning and have the food, firearms and such stay rare. I reckon that is the goal and we're getting there slowly, but surely... Imho, now would be a good time to start working on implementing more low-level loot, such as plastic bags, different semi-useful tools, etc.

Got about an hour in, started in Solnichniy. Immediately started heading west, basically gave Solnichniy a pass and headed up to Orlovets. Started getting a bit cold and failed a couple times making a fire (my post above) but third time it was fine. I also tried using birch bark instead of paper on the third one, just trying not to do the exact same thing. Found a wool coat in Orlovets but didn't stick around long, replaced my book and kept going on toward factory. Found nothing there really but I did pick up a CR527 in a deer stand, so that's neat, unlikely to find ammo for it anytime soon though. Headed onto Polana but only poked my head into a couple buildings on the edges as it looked like locusts had already been through. From there I'm heading into the Black Forest. I'll pass through there and decide if I want to head more west or northwest... Fun so far. :)

It sounds like we were on the same path, at least for a while. I got a spawn in Nizhnoyne. I munched down a few apples and from there I went to Orlovets and then Factory. I started towards Polana, but I ended up chasing a boar with my ax. After I butchered my kill (pork chops tonight!) I went to Dolina, since it was relatively close. From there, I wandered through the countryside, passed by Polana and came out at Gorka.

I'll be honest with you, at first, I didn't recognize Gorka (I guess I spend too much time in the Northwest). I pulled my compass out to see if it was damaged, because I figured that I must have made a wrong turn somewhere. After a few minutes, I noticed the chapel with the well out in front. Apart from the wall, I think it may be just about the only thing that hasn't changed. The cops were nice enough to leave a MP5 for me, complete with attachments and two 30-rounders. Anyway, it was just about sunset when I left for an undisclosed location for the evening. What a beautiful little town, especially at sunset!

I gotta say, the CLE is being pretty darn generous to me: firearms, ammo, melee weapons, food, drink, etc. The only thing I haven't seen is a tent. Before the wipe I had found four tents. I had set two up and was about to pitch a third when everything got wiped. I'd like to stash a few canned goods for a rainy day, because I know what a perverse sense of humor the devs have. I figure they probably have something up their sleeve to torture us with.

Try to disable antivirus/ firewall while loading up dayz, you will only have to do this once (i think)... otherwise try downloading the newest BE from their site maybe?

Wipe, again? Without a patch? That's pretty weird. (Might have been a problem with the servers...)

Didn't download any new version or anything.

And now have pretty big problems...

When closing DayZ, I get the same memory error as others, but somehow it now gives me a blue screen of death.... (First time in 3 years with this system...)

And when I start DayZ, I get this message:

Yeah, I really like the face-lift Gorka got. I didn't find nearly as much as you but I also haven't actually spent much time looting. Just a couple buildings in each town I pass through. I don't even have a backpack of any sort yet. I still have space in my coat though and there's nothing I really need yet to carry, though it would be nice to have a place to stow my hatchet.

And when I start DayZ, I get this message:

Hmm.  My "3d_Performance" parameter is set to 93750, I wonder if the blue screen corrupted your DayZ.cfg?

Maybe try opening your DayZ.cfg and pasting in the line:

3D_Performance=93750;

at least give it some entry so it's not blank ... ?

edit: (or find out what the default is, I don't know if 93750 is default or if I changed it at some point)

I have logged in several times on a couple of different 1/3 pp servers.  I am logging in at exactly the same place each time.  I can't seem to leave or open door, I have a frying pan in hand that I cannot drop.  I logged out completely and am validating game files as I write this, hopefully this will solve the problem.

Gonna try it.

Edit: Now it asks for adapter...

I had the error message before I got the blue screen. Every time I enter the game, the settings returns to "default" (very low settings) and I have to change them back manually. I deleted the config file, but still got the same error. In 1200 hours, never seen or get this...
