I keep having a crash issue that appeared first with this update. Either the game freezes and I have to ctrl+alt+tab out, or I get thrown on the desktop "DayZ not working anymore". I haven't read anýthing about it here, noone seems to have the same issue...maybe I should make a report...but I cannot reproduce the circumstances....updated my drivers...to no avail. dammit dayZ, why U Alpha, why U no work? :-(

I'm having the same issue. I was twitch streaming here the 29th of december where I 3 1/2 hour into the stream was experiencing the same problem as you stated; "dayz is not responding"-message where i have to force close the applicatiin through the task manager. I've never had the issue before, but since it occurred later in the session, two possibilities came into mind; In game items are bugged or my gpu is malfuntioning. Ive just recently updated my graphic drivers so this could have been the culprit, but i have to test some more - i doubt this can be the issue though but havent fully outruled this as the mischievous flaw in my game. Ive been browsing online for known issues that can lead to before mentioned crash and i found a topic relating to ingame items which make the game crash - either i picked up a bad small protector container (SPC), i have some ruined clothing. The container code in the game is bugged and especially the SPC is known to be the culprit for earlier crash reports. Even though the article empathised on containers inside containers, it also states that ruined clothes, which also by definition code wise are containers, can be the issue. Try removing any recently acquired clothes or containers - heck even your backpack, have a friend take care of it while you try to relog the server and run around a bit. If you dont crash, my bet of beans is placed on bugged containers or clothes.

I'll try the same when i come online again Tuesday at the evening CET and I'll indeed report back with any discoveries. The reason I created an account on this forum was actually to adress this issue.

Please i need help. In this new patch, 0,52, the dayz dont go on my pc, i dont know why but i bought the game 1 week ago. When i launch the game, it launch, but when it start the introduction(bohemia interactiva, dayz...) the resolution its very bad. when the introduction finish, it go to the menu, but i only hear birds and the game stops.(i cant do anything) after this, i only can restart the pc. My pc: MSI GE60. I7 Processor NvidiaGeforce GTX760M, 4Gb(Ram). Please help!!!

just open up dayz cfg in c:/documents/yourusername/dayz and change interface to your native resolution.Hopefuly that will fix it for ya.

I wish it was easier to report hackers, I've got the name and server of a couple and I'd like there to be a form or something I could submit rather than spending ages contacting server admins etc

If you have actual evidence of a hacker , try to send your evidence to a developer or moderator here on the forums using the private messaging , and by evidence I mean you should be talking to the hacker about his hacks while you record the conversation and simultaneously check his pulse to get his in game name ... Make sure the hacker doesn't know you're going to report him otherwise he'll probably change his steam name and in game name :/ ... But you only report abusive server owners to the server providers, hackers should be dealt with by the dev team considering they can have battle eye ban the said hacker if evidence is brought to their attention in a timely manner !

My point is that takes a lot of time from the devs and there should be some automatic form which I can send my info on but oh well.

That would be awesome, but to code something like that would take a little bit of time , so I say they keep things going this same way until beta because if they have some automated system who's to say it won't get accessed by hackers (or even ddos'ers) and taken down or leaked names to avoid punishment , making a need for another stop on development to fight hackers/ddosers.

This way they can do it silently and still focus on making advancements to the anti-cheat while at the same time not having to upkeep an automated system that would surely go down once in a while for whatever reason, but if you're really being attacked by hackers on all the servers you go to I would really try and take the 10 minutes to make the video of evidence, especially if you already know exactly where to find them .. but I can only suggest that , as I know that a lot of people have no time for stuff like that.

The Vybor military base prison glitch is complete bull. Playing with 2 mates y'day, we were all decked out and 2 of us had ghillie suits. We went into the prison, one of us died after like a minute due to a guy appearing out of nowhere. 5 minutes later my other mate died due to the same reason. I just camped the stairway on the top floor for ages and eventually we found on youtube there was a prison wall glitch.

 

This always happens in Dayz, you always die to some bull***. This glitch plagued the game a couple of months ago and ruined PVP, hopefully they do a hotfix fairly soon.

 

Hope they don't fix the jerry can glitch where you can carry it on your back.

I like to cut random paths across parts of the map and just deal with what comes....

 

Earlier today I was randomly running through the northwest quarter of the map, deep in the woods, when suddenly....

 

A wild survivor appears!

 

Just standing in a clearing in full gear hands down, unarmed, completely motionless

 

I had a couple of seconds to think and instead of continuing to run or possibly kill the unlucky/defenseless guy for his gear I decided to chat with him.

 

Me: Hey buddy! Logging in?

 

It's really random just running into you here!

 

Him: Yeah, I'm just logging in, and IT IS really random meeting you way up North here!

 

(His delayed responses made me suspect that he is on teamspeak with friends.)

 

Me: You're lucky I'm friendly, I could have easily killed a few times.

 

I can't wait for there to be more zombies!

 

I'm going to keep running, please don't shoot me in the back!

 

Him: Ok, I won't shoot you!

 

I then continued my trek along my original path....

 

I was so surprised by the encounter I never thought to screenshot.

 

I hope that maybe this guy appreciates that everyone in DayZ isn't just a selfish murderer a little more, whether he was normally friendly or not.

Ghillie items.

So i crafted a ghillie suit. Tried to paint it without any luck. Wanted to disassemble the ghillie and noticed in my inventory i had lost nearly all my netting and burlap strips. Tested it again with making ghillie bushrag, disassembled it and same thing happened.

When you have like 3 or more strips combined in your inventory, and creat a ghillie item and disassemle it, you lose all but 2 strips. Same with netting. Waisted days collecting netting and burlap sacks for this :(

Will this ever be fixed??

I thought netting didn't disappear? I keep having a glitch where when I change servers I lose my burlap strips, I lost 2 stacks of 10 strips last week

Been alive for 10 days now in a private shard, 4 hours restart, persistence disabled server.

 

Fully geared, smersh vest, ttsko clothing, full ghillie (the top, not the unpaintable full body one), ak101 with all attachments (found my first supressor 10 minutes ago, yay!), double high cap vests inside my inventory for even more space, survival tools, cr75 with a couple mags (dying to find a pistol supressor...), etc.

 

I have never had this much fun in any of the past updates, congratz devs on 0.52! Lost a few lifes to stairs and glitched buildings since the release, but I stopped climbing them and now it's a non-issue.

So  joined the game yesterday to see what's new after a long break. Kicked from first server, ok  shit happens lets try again than kicked from another, this time normal name, no clan tag nothing suggesting possibility of being kicked. Joined third one official Multiplay 5 minutes into kicked from the game. Well seems like nothing changed. 

I've seen two servers shut down today after reports sent.

If you don't report the servers that you claim are kicking you for no reason then nothing will happen, moaning here is not only off-topic but mis informing the public.

I do, thanks for deleting my post I've send more reports that I care to count and yes some if not most seem to get some effects, but it's like a hydra, one goes down two take it's place. The fact that we constantly see servers shut down for breaking the rules just show that the people don't give a shit about ToS and our server reporting is like rolling the stone by Sisyphus, we get close but in the end it's ultimately pointless.

How long have we've been reporting the servers for ? Is it a year or more ? And yet there is still plenty of them. 

And no it's not miss informing the public, both hacking and kicking are a big problem, but all you say to it is : report post videos and than delete the posts, that's not helping either.

Ghillies were inplemented into this game on patch 0.52. It is still 0.52 so a bit early to complain about it being fixed, don't you think? I would prefer they fixed the leg-break bug as it actually ruins the game for you when it happens while this is....meh

I am seeing a lot of crashes unfortunately on my server and it appears to be related to .52 so thought i'd post it here:

 

 

 

Those restarts are the result of your server crashing due to bugs in the game that only Bohemia Interactive can fix.
The crash dumps have been sent to Bohemia Interactive so that they can analyse and fix those bugs.

Has anyone experience some odd lag on persistance off servers? Most(if not all) of the pers. off servers start to lag for me after some time, like picking up items, interacting with the inventory etc.

 

Ghillies were inplemented into this game on patch 0.52. It is still 0.52 so a bit early to complain about it being fixed, don't you think? I would prefer they fixed the leg-break bug as it actually ruins the game for you when it happens while this is....meh

Ghillies(hood, bushrag, top) were added 0.51, full ghillie suit was added 0.52, also painting hood, bushrag and top  worked in 0.51.

Has anyone experience some odd lag on persistance off servers? Most(if not all) of the pers. off servers start to lag for me after some time, like picking up items, interacting with the inventory etc.

 

Ghillies(hood, bushrag, top) were added 0.51, full ghillie suit was added 0.52, also painting hood, bushrag and top  worked in 0.51.

 

This happens on my server. Its like the server gets behind or something. See my post above yours. It could be related but maybe not. Server won't run on its own all day without somebody there to manually restart. No fun :(

I've found skull balaclavas at chopper crashes. Persistence disabled of course.

That depends on where the server you are playing on is located, not where you are located.
