First discount of DayZ standalone on steam

Honestly I can't believe that some of you guys are making such a big deal out of a £2 discount in honour of BiS' 15th anniversary...

 

The game is not getting cheaper and the devs haven't contradicted themselves. The game will increase in price as we move into beta and then again on final release. That doesn't mean that it won't go -75% on Steam one day a few years down the line though...

I see no issue with the TEMPORARY price drop to celebrate BI's 15th Anniversary.

 

If they had dropped the price permanently I too would be irritated.

 

But they havnt.

I spent $30 on a game I have 250 hours in.  I just watched Godzilla for $7 and it lasted me 2 hours.

 

I feel perfectly happy with the cost to benefit ratio for both choices.

thats not true. you paid to test a game before official release, you didnt pay for a bugged game. most games have bugs even montsh after official release.

I have my own opinions on this game, and personally I do not regret spending $30 on it even in its current state. Does this make me a mindless tool? When someone says "you can't pull the alpha card" when it very clearly states it's an alpha game, I'm going to point out the fact that it tells them when they purchase it in at least 3 different locations on the way to checkout and also every time you load into the game.

So please, try again. How am I a mindless tool for stating the obvious?

I bought ARMA 3 at full 60 dollar price a little over a month ago. Am i pissed its only 35$s? Sure but im not gonna go burn down there studios which i have no money to spend to fly out just to get arrested anyways which would be counterproductive and extremely retarded let alone slightly psychotic. However thats a fully released game and i expected that to happen within the year or 2 anyways. lol

 

^ This example is just for humor factor. However i can see some one try to do this. I mean shit some kid in Russia bashed his fathers head in with a sledge hammer because he took away the sons computer system.
