dgeesio 1034 Posted May 16, 2014 Honestly I can't believe that some of you guys are making such a big deal out of a £2 discount in honour of BiS' 15th anniversary... The game is not getting cheaper and the devs haven't contradicted themselves. The game will increase in price as we move into beta and then again on final release. That doesn't mean that it won't go -75% on Steam one day a few years down the line though... heres how i prove you instantly wrong ! the game is 16.99 on offer thats £3.01 per person. BI for 15th anniversary give back that £3.01p to every person that brought Dayz SA . its not a big deal . oh wait thats 6 million pounds

Why would Bohemia refund everyone who already bought the game? I didn't get anything when L4D2 went F2P last Christmas and I paid full price for it... OrLoK 16185 Posted May 16, 2014 Hello there I see no issue with the TEMPORARY price drop to celebrate BI's 15th Anniversary. If they had dropped the price permanently I too would be irritated. But they havnt. So, no "promises" have been broken or fibs told. Rgds LoK
Yuval 221 Posted May 17, 2014 I didn't feel bad about paying 30$ for a bugged game. I didn't feel bad about character wipes and glitch deaths But now, you can't pull the alpha card: "Save 15% on DayZ on Steam" ... shit.

PhillyT 554 Posted May 17, 2014 (edited) I spent $30 on a game I have 250 hours in. I just watched Godzilla for $7 and it lasted me 2 hours. I feel perfectly happy with the cost to benefit ratio for both choices. Edited May 18, 2014 by PhillyT

Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted May 17, 2014 (edited) Try doing some math, which for some of you seems extremely difficult but 15% off $30 is a whole whopping $4.5. Not much of a deal to be honest. Edited May 17, 2014 by Caboose187

kichilron 8550 Posted May 17, 2014 (edited) Merged. Also - why exactly is it bad that a game has a discount for the 15th anniversary of the Publisher of that game? I can't quite follow.. Edited May 17, 2014 by kichilron

Beck (DayZ) 1768 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) Prove him wrong.I have my own opinions on this game, and personally I do not regret spending $30 on it even in its current state. Does this make me a mindless tool? When someone says "you can't pull the alpha card" when it very clearly states it's an alpha game, I'm going to point out the fact that it tells them when they purchase it in at least 3 different locations on the way to checkout and also every time you load into the game.So please, try again. How am I a mindless tool for stating the obvious? Edited May 18, 2014 by Beck
dallas 5195 Posted May 18, 2014 It's a scientific fact that if you drop the price for an early access game, the game instantly turns into a finished product. It's kind of like one of them time paradoxes, if you travel back in time and you meet yourself and both of you are wearing the same underpants, the universe will rip itself into pieces.
brzator47@gmail.com 524 Posted May 18, 2014 Did anybody really buy this game to save money in the long run? I bought it on the first day to see what it's like and to support the development but every time a company says the price will only go up I never actually expect it to happen. It's BS but it's also really only 3-4 bucks and I'm a BI fanboy so I can't say I care much.

Sure but im not gonna go burn down there studios which i have no money to spend to fly out just to get arrested anyways which would be counterproductive and extremely retarded let alone slightly psychotic. However thats a fully released game and i expected that to happen within the year or 2 anyways. lol ^ This example is just for humor factor. However i can see some one try to do this. I mean shit some kid in Russia bashed his fathers head in with a sledge hammer because he took away the sons computer system.
