Most nailguns would make terrible weapons... seriously, they wouldn't be deadly beyond melee range, so you'd essentially be limiting yourself to a powered and 5ft ranged melee weapon with a limited ammo supply. There are high pressure nail guns but for the most part anything common is going to be nigh useless as a weapon.

 

Not that it wouldn't be cool, even if for variety at the worst, it's just that using one over per say an axe or machete would be idiotic.

That functions. It's not full auto. Also, if that's the particular SKS I'm thinking of, it's chambered in 7.62x25 tokarev, or maybe that was a different one. Regardless, it (or they, if it's two different ones) was made by this guy on the sksboards. Come check it out sometime for crazy SKS mods. In particular, check out xtriggerman, he does very interesting new things with the sks.

 

In regards to the one I'm thinking of, I haven't seen too many wire folded SKSes with a suppressor (or was it a mock suppressor?), so therefore, it probably is the one I'm thinking of, which leads us to:

 

 

By the way, where did you find that picture? That was grouster's personal gun. Very famous on the boards. Is it for sale? I'm very interested.

Maybe a 300 win-mag or 338 lapua hunting rifle? (for big game hunting:) - I think it would make sense around a rich hunter's house when bears are introduced into the game.

Also a modest mountainous area expansion in the west with a rich Swiss vibe would be cool. In a Swiss setting sig sauer rifles and guns would be cool. As well as chocolate :D - where are the chocolate bars???

Guys. in all seriousness, when you suggest hunting rifles and stuff pick believable ammunition types. .338 Lapua rounds cost 8 bucks a pop. Also pick rifles which have internal magazines cause its so much nicer when you dont have to find magazines.

 

I would like a Ruger M77 in .308, which can mount a scope.

The Canadian Army uses this rifle as a Search and Rescue Rifle chambered in 30-06 so it can be a heli crash drop or whatever.

They fly some random Canadian Search & Rescue teams around the world and these Canadians will bring specialized custom orange .30-06 bolt-action rifles designed for bear defense? :lol: "Ruger M77" and heli crash should not appear in the same sentence. There are hundreds of thousands of Ruger M77s that don't belong to Canadian Army Search & Rescue teams.

Didn't Ruger also release an M77 that can chamber and load .357 Magnum ammo? And I'm leaning general more towards Civilian and Hunting Firearms

 

Anyway, I'm also pushing for my own little list:

 

• Mosin Nagant M38 Carbine - Bolt Action Carbine version of the popular full size Mosin Nagant, can take most attachments the full size mosin can but shorter length leads to slightly less range.
• Vz.83 Skorpion - .380 ACP Skorpion, would likely spawn in Police Stations or Military Buildings, comes with 20 round magazines or 30 round magaiznes. Stock can folded or unfolded (folded allows a much more compact weapon, allow it to be stowed easily in storage but at the cost of less controllability)
• Browning BLR 81 - Lever Action .308 rifle that uses 4 round rotary magazines, spawns primarily in Residential Areas
• Molot Vepr 5,45 - A semi-automatic rifle based on the RPK design, this version is adapted for 5,45x39mm ammunition and uses its own 5,45x39mm vepr magazines which hold 5 or 10 rounds. (Not sure if it can take AK-74 magazines but for gameplay purposes I don't see why it shouldn't)
• TOZ-122 - A popular russian .308 bolt action rifle, somewhat of a modern hunting rifle compared to the Mosin 91/30
• Taurus Model 62 - A .22 caliber pump action rifle that holds 14, .22 LR rounds. As it's a pump action it uses a tubular magazine and therefore beats the Ruger 10/22 in terms of usuability right off the bat but fails in regards to attachments.
• FUBAR Wrecking Bar - Heavy large tool used for demolition purposes, functions similar to the Sledge Hammer
• Heavy Wrench - A heavy wrench normally seen in Automative shops, it's a two handed blunt weapon
• Entrenching Tool - A military issue Entrenching Tool, Russian version resemble a shortened shovel while US versions (found at Crashsites) are foldable and can be further compacted. In addition, US E-Tools can be adapated to use a shovel or a makeshift garden hoe)
• Folding Knife (Buck or CRKT) - A simple folding knife with a 3-4" blade, hunting and camping types can be found in Residental areas while tactical models can be found in Police and Military Areas.
• TNT - Modern Demolition Grade TNT, designed to deliever maximum explosive force with minimum fragmentation.
• Scissors - Simply lightweight metal scissors
• Compound Bow - Powerful modern hunting bow. Can only use Composite arrows and has options for a specialised bow sight (range dots), Stabilizer (which reduces bow sway) and a quiver attachment (so it functions similar to the Crossbow, hold 6 arrows on the weapon itself)

Could be a slightly more common rifle than the M4, and could be placed at Helicopter Spawns, rarely at Jailhouses, and maybe the occasional LAV or Humvee?

Not sure about this but a modern M16 rifle is already on the list. I also think it makes much more sense to have the M16A2 or M16A4 over the M16 or M16A1.

 

But I think it makes sense to include a M16 variant especially because of the rural setting of Chernarus that make the deployment of the full length rifle more likely.

Probably going to get beaten with poo covered stick by a few people but here goes; With ghillies being added and such like we need a little love paid to sniper/hunting rifles and more importantly, SCOPES. the current LRS is very lacklustre as far as scopes go, so I'd like to see a number of new scopes added [3D of course] some that can be fitted to the CR527, Sporter etc.

 

As for the rifles part; Toz 122, remington 700, CZ 550, CZ452 [i already suggested this a while ago, suppressor and scope available as attachments] and the Vz. 24

The Tula TOZ-122 Hunting Carbine has been on the list for at least 3 months now.

If you make it obvious that you did not read the list before suggesting then I will likely not accept the suggestions.

Too much work has been put into this list by all of us, so the least people can do is read the thing before posting.

Yea having older m16a2 would be nice.

Good accuracy, good power, less modularity, 3 round burst.

They can describe it in the description as the US donating some of their old service rifles to the chenarus military as they attempted to westernized it's military.

This is plausible and I believe this is what happened in iraq with many of it's units slowly getting issued old m16a2 rifles.

But oh baby am I a fan of the original m16. The three pronged barrel, tear drop forward assist, and 1:9 barrel twist for more trumbly and fragmenty rounds is just dead sexy.

Not to mention its firemods are safe, semi, and rock n' roll. 3rd burst forces me to make 3 shots when I want to make only one, or only 3 when I want 10.

This is a USSR made .22lr bolt action rifle, it takes a 5 round detachable magazine and can fit a PU scope. Pretty cool right?
