I moved it here because the OP started the Topic in the DayZ Mod General Discussion Forum, therefore off-topic.

We are talking about the DayZ SA.

Is that clear enough for you ?

Do not compare these forums and the way we work to that of the other Game and it's "shenanigans".

We are very tolerant here and that, is sure and certain.

and it does seem like 'censorship' to move topics about the standalone to "off topic". perhaps I'm being hyperbolic, but it seems like an attempt to move the discussion out of the limelight. if these forums aren't the place to talk about the standalone, fine, but just make sure you're consistent with that

and now I notice the last few mod posts I referred to in the original thread have disappeared...

We now split up threads due to the recent slowdowns you may have noticed. This method eases that somewhat.

As to mods posting in old threads, we sometimes forget that we can post in locked threads, so one might assume it was the mod continuing the thread not realising it had be closed (a guess).

Having something moved is no biggie, if its an important thread it will be in the whats new chart at a high level.

So in other words dont worry!

DON'T expect an entirely new game, rather a refined version of the mod. This is my opinion, I know as much as you do. But I do expect the game to evolve and grow as I understand that's the model they are using.

You will also notice there is a link from the main thread in Announcements to here. As was pointed out earlier, it was a forum performance issue, not censorship.

I removed the last few posts because they weren't necessary.

Rename it to "Running Simulator 2013: Prepare To Die Edition" = Most accurate title ever.

Do you think the standalone feature Coca Cola, Pepsi Heinz baked beans and Mountain Dew? These brands are trade marked, should they even be in the mod?

Depends if you got £15 to spare its well worth it, that's if you can't wait that is.

Don't forget if your not worried about high res textures you only need to buy Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead for £9 and then download Arma 2 Free version to make it Combined Operations.

Get it. The best 20 bucks I've spent on a game. It has a long learning curve, so you'll be a decent player when the SA comes out.

Wow alot of folks got alot to say about the SA. Me personally... I don't care when, what, or where. I just think Rocket needs a hot lady (or 3) to jump his bones while'st he is off. He needs to go out with some old friends shoot the shit, drive like he stole it (rental of course), get drunk, punch an angry Dwarf midget small person in the nuts. But most of all just have a wonderful holiday!

As for you damn mods... get to work! Them ban threads ain't gonna lock themselves. Sheeze Rocket is gone and you guys go and start making new threads! ;)

I wouldn't mind clever dayz specific brands as a replacement.

One things for sure, if they do get licencing it's going to be one or the other. Pepsi and Coca Cola don't get along.

Oh, I'm sure we don't want to rush a game that's being advertised and sold as "still in development". Jesus Christ man, it will be all buggy and incomplete, and what would they be thinking!?

You cannot compare the incident with WarZ as they were trying to sell their game as "complete".

Minecraft business model is certainly possible and fully legal on Steam.

For example: you can pre-purchase Don't Starve on Steam and play the beta already (but beta access is just a bonus, not what you really paid for!), so there isn't a confusion like it was with Towns and that other game... :rolleyes:
