rocket please unban the classes for lights, so we can try cherno without using seperate mods and code to get them working PLEASE!!

Also if you feel like it maybe the refuel and repair trucks :P

Official mod will probably remain pretty locked down. Efforts will be made to improve cheat prevention.

Alot of stuff in the pipeline coming soon™ .

If there's some classes that can be safely allowed we could look at adding official support for it.

Very Nice Update, Only thing I'm personally sad about is the requirement of the tool box. It may just be me but I can find a M107 faster/easier then a Toolbox. Any chance for some new clothing/outfits to be added to the mod befor standalone comes about? Friends who play the female survivor model have been looking forward to ghillies or some kinda camo outfit for them for ages now. Thanks for the update all around though ^.^

* [NEW] New Combat System If you fire a weapon, someone fires a weapon near you, or a bullet/object impacts near you, then you go into combat. During combat, "ABORT" is disabled. If you ALT-F4/close anyway, your character is considered "combat logged" and instantly killed and leaves a body.

I want to see how buggy this "Combat System" will be. Many people will probably die, because they're combat logged though no one shot before they logged out.

I see this as a new death trap :L

That's all good aslong as you are not engaged in combat.

The "as long" part worries me you know.

Since even a zombie can put you into combat... Players will be in Combat many times. I would like to see Combat only in PvP not PvZ.

internet/electricity shutdown for example is a problem...

The odds of your electricity shutting down when you are in combat are pretty low, unless you have a cat running in a wheel to keep your computer going. I would be pissed if my character died because of this reason, but it is a small price to pay. :)

lights are pretty harmless as well as more skins. sometimes i think rocket spent more tme banning classes than making the mod lol

All i said Zombies shouldn't have "Combat" or have a different kind...

I would like to see this "Combat" mechanic only used in PvP. much much lower chances for this to happen like this.

Light's would encourage people to play at night, at the moment we all are creating moonlight enviroments, which is dependant on weather.

Let us at least try it with lights!

Also a few vehciles like the kamazrefuel and repair trucks would be awesome as vanilla.

On our server everything is done server side, we rather not use mods and stay as close as we can to avoid any downloads.

I can understand other class bans and simulations like tanks, planes etc, but some vehicles are harmless and as you see above in the code, the lights/street lights etc are all denied access from working :)

thanks Rocket! i was going to wait until standalone to come out until i was going to play again, but you have fixed so many problems; duping, altf4ers, spawning, zombie deaths, tents randomly inside the hospital, and making the toolbox have more use! you, and all those who helped, are awesome!

Even though it appears they basically took 90% of DayZ Redux and incorporated it into the mod, it's a MUCH needed addition. Wish vehicle flipping was incorporated though. That's extremely handy for ATVs. Would've also liked to seen the "auto-fuel" feature added (drive to gas station, vehicle refuels itself), although I can understand why it's not there. If nothing else, make it so the player has to get out of the vehicle and interact w/ the pump to start the fueling process.

Which redux just took from the tunggle post with most of these fixes.

ok so the combat system has a few of you worried let me try and clear it up

First zeds will not put you in combat unless you attack them.

Second the killed system is not in this release and we are talking about just sending global msgs to everyone when someone logs while in combat in place of killing.

everything else is in you just wont be killed yet -).

Zombies do not trigger it unless you yourself shoot.

What if a hacker teleports all Player then does a Roundhouse kick with his MG Firing all the People.

That means no escape from Hackers through you will get killed anyways right?

1. Stay = Die to Hacker

2. Leave = Die to System

As much as that would suck, I still think it's totally worth it. Combat loggers are a notch down from script kiddies in my book, both of them are too stupid to realize the point and fun in the game.

Also: finally the zombie death animations are fixed.

This fix was discovered during Standalone development, and ported over.
