Beartraps seem to currently have an issue where if set and activated if you logout they will disappear. I've had this happen twice now, and for an item that's semi-rare as it is, losing them when set upon logout kinda sucks, especially if you're using as part of like a camp defense system or something. Possible fix in upcoming patch?

you should keep the respawn, because i sometimes spawn on a island, and if i swim i will lose all my stuff that i start with.

Put your starting gear in your backpack, that way you won't loose it.

and you didn't even understand the question I asked. you refered to 1 point which was the last server yet i was talking about how untidy and in need of streeamlining the server connection ui is, the commander is useful but could this not be included in the game rather than on a web page.

and dayz commander lets you FILTER ALL THE STUFF YOU ASKED FOR! so no messy lists.

and AGAIN: rocket can not change the way arma 2 handles the serverlist (but then again ARMA 2 HAS FILTERES TOO)!

But it still dosen't fix the messy server connection set up & ONLY displays where you've been etc and its on a seperate site so i add the q again.

I'm pretty amazed you've managed to get the mod running at all really. Also, stop asking whole lists of fully fleshed out features in a freaking alpha. This is expected to be a buggy piece of crap that you have to work around just to reliably play, thats what alphas are like. They dont give you every bit of info, they dont have perfect GUI's or HUD's. But you make do, cause its a fucking alpha.

I asked if it could be implemented in the game 1 day, spouting "its alpha" (with a lisp) is redundant. Obviously I am refering to future changes and last I checked ArmA2 is very much not an alpha. Though I'd expect a better ui once standalone is released.

Its kind of like this atm, lots of "clever" funny people ready to take the pi55 but no one actually wants to help and when they do it will be cryptic or at least somewhere will have the words retard/idiot or similar included for free.

From what i read back on page 20 Rocket said this should no longer happen as you are now spawned on the beach.

That is because no one but rocket KNOW how it will work exactly (yet), but it is kind of stupid to think he has not thought about those obvious things! Redundant questions, most of which are answered in the first few pages of this very thread.

Respawn was also the suicide button when you just wanted to start over.

I assume you took it out to stop folks from what...respawning multiple times after dieing to try to get closer to where they died because there is some stupid mechanism that makes the gear degrade over a short period of time despite how fucking unrealistic that is? Yeh ok.

Singleplayer mode disabled. Right. That's like the gov saying murders are disabled. Trying to disable and disuade private servers was the biggest mistake you ever made Rocket. Its the only way to get away from all the annoying hackers out there who seek to ruin the game cause DayZ is a mod built on a game where spawning stuff for yourself is a core part and thus disabling it fully is just not possible.

As for the Alt-F4 thing.

Spawn in at coast with everything, hey this isn't where I logged out at! Oh another bug? Let me just Alt-F4 and go back in to fix it. Oh wait..now its gonna make me out to be a baddy.
