The mysterious hidden Vault

Greetings fellow survivors!

 

So, I've found something very interesting it seems.

 

Just north of the helicopter spawn north of stary sobor there is a place which looks like a concreted-over vault.

 

On there is a sign.

It looks like this

So, if this isn't weird enough.

I got plenty of russian buddies, and I asked them to translate me.

 

On there stands:

 

"Here lied the god of the earth"

After that, there is a word that translates to "Shpil".

Meaning unknown.

 

What is buried here, beneath this vault?

Is it a mass grave?

Are there survivors in there? Living in a vault?!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Actually, the sentence translates to "Beneath here lies the bug of the earth"

But "bug" in russian can easily be misread as "god".  I think that was on purpose

And the word after that is the russian word the bug was called, back in an earlier DayZ Version.

A "Shpil" is the pointy top of a church or whatever you call it (I'm not a native english speaker). Of course this is just the "official" version which can not be trusted. Also, there are skinwalkers at the green mountain.

 

 

Let's find out what's buried under there.

Someone throw a few landmines up there.

why does this come up over and over again....

there was a terrain bug, that looked like a pyramid. it got fixed and that sign got placed there.

devs have shown some unconventional creativity with this joke, nothing more.

Unfortunalty I think its probalbly an easter egg or some kind of Fall Out reference..

 

But image what might be inside if it wasn't? maybe its a start of the actual lore/storyline of DayZ? Could it be a mass grave, with some kind of zombie nest inside? Maybe thats where the infection started, and its some kind of labratory? no one will ever know..

 

But if we can eventually get in I hope theres some beans because im hungry now..

Huh, there is an interesting tidbit in the trivia section:

• This sign is supposedly the exact center of the Chernarus landmass (NOT the center of the map, which includes the water off the eastern and southern coasts). This is to serve as a marker to divide the landmass into four quadrants for development purposes.

If this is true, maybe that's what caused the strange geometric shape in the first place.

It does seem to have maybe been intentional at one point to serve that purpose. No way of knowing without asking Senchi.

I remember rumours the grass pyramid was the location were Dean Hall died the first time in the game.
