Where have you guys been finding it?

The new Stary Sobor evacuation camp has two tree stands guard towers inside of the fence, one is definitely spawning hunting scopes.  

The other place I found a few during exp .57 is the hunting stand guard tower on the southwest side of Stary Yar up north.

 

edit after reading Odin Lowe's post below:  Those were guard towers in both cases (the taller and somewhat bleached looking stand with a ladder)

I checked 15 deer stands and found none. Checked two feeding stations and found 2. No idea if that means anything whatsoever.

Found hunting scopes in deer stands, feeding shacks and the guard towers. (The two at Stary, or those at the NWAF and Myshkino tent city military base.)

You overall best bet is to look in deer stands. They are more common than guard towers, and although people look in deer stands for goods, you'd be more than likely to find one that wasn't searched.

I found a grand total of 17 hunting scopes in both the experimental branch, and stable 0.57 build.

 

I tested on the various rifle available, and personally my favorite combo is the Winchester model 70 with the hunting scope, closely followed by the CR527.

I found more hunting scopes in guard houses and feeding shacks than in the deer stand, but it's pretty close overall so I guess it's all a matter of luck really.

With the sporter. A bit overkill in my opinion, as .22 rounds wouldn't kill a target at 400-500 meters, but this baby does...  :huh:

 

Last shot of the awesome Winchester model 70 in all it's glory. I dropped it in favor of an AUG, just for personally taste, as it's my second favorite weapon in the game close behind the 1911.

My 1PP character has a CR527 with Hunting Scope currently. I like it, but I realized after doing a little digging around the internet that the .308 round is statistically superior in the damage department to the 7.62x39mm round. Since the CR527 requires one to find a mag and military grade ammo (which would be a touch more difficult under normal loot conditions), I realized that the Alaskan is basically superior in every way. It sucks because I was looking forward to the CR527 becoming a more viable choice.

 

Side note: I too absolutely love a 1911, but the commonality of the FNX is making it tough to choose to use one, especially since a bolt action primary needs the best combination of damage per shot and mag capacity for a sidearm one can muster. On the plus side, I'm finding mags for the M1911 very consistently.

Yeah I have a model 70 and more than enough ammo, but I couldn't find a scope (still haven't). Also wondering if you can paint the m70, has any one tried?

7.62x39 should be all over the place. While it is a mil round, everyone and their brother has a weapon chambered for it in russia/com block countries. So just the sheer popularity of the round should dictate that it should spawn in any house on the map like 7.62x54r

The Winchester with a scope is a monster of a gun. I've yet to have the opportunity to try an SVD, but the scoped Winchester is at least the equal of a scoped Mosin (and perhaps slightly more accurate at ranges over 500m).

 

Plus the sound of the thing is really good. It has bass.

I'm glad the Mosin and its long range scope was only a placeholder.

 

The Winchester looks more badass than the Mosin, and the scope is just UGHGHHH <3 <3 when they are together.

 

Unlike that old, dinky LRS.

I will edit this statement by saying i looked for a winchester model 70 and a hunting scope and now have both

I find at least a couple per day. In deer stand easily accessible in Berenzino by church, to all stands up north. No specific one.
