Thats food but you need right amount of fluids too to get the top status - I think anyway. Mine came up after drinking a few soda pops

I drank a considerable amount of water and sodas and my thirst status seemed to be working correctly.

These buildings usually are located at big cities, right? I usually avoid them but will check it out this evening.

There in most military bases, scattered all over the place in cities. I usually run into them by luck in cities. Ya, it was extra tough since I had nothing but a hoe and a stone knife. I haven't figured out how to make a bow and arrows yet. I might try if I find a chicken, after dinner...burp.

Remember this ^

I logged back in and now I am lime green Energized and at the bottom LHS corner of the screen, I am getting messages about how I am stuffed and I feel like I am gong to throw up and I think I'm going to throw up.

Before I logged out I didn't have any stuffed messages. While I was getting the messages about wanting to throw up, I opened my inventory screen and I didn't have any status messages there about being stuffed. WTF?

Just before logging I was at a well drinking and drinking and drinking but couldn't get hydrated. Thought maybe the server was resetting. Didn't see anything on the feedback tracker so assumed that was the case until I read your post. If eating and drinking aren't registering I hope it gets fixed before this goes to stable.

I had been eating and drinking like a mad man for an hour leading up to the scheduled server restart, so I don't think that it was a server issue in my case.

I would suggest that you submit a bug report.

"in the future allowing custom server operators fine control over their server and its item spawn quantities without requiring any base modification to the game"

So whats good about that? dozens of "high loot servers" where people go just to gear up like crazy?

I guess they will put a minimum and maximum in. :)

So, how does a server admin increase, decrease, or otherwise specify what type of loot will spawn on his/her "High Loot Server?"

Answer: He/she doesn't. He/she merely reboots more frequently, because the legacy / place holder loot economy is fatally flawed and massively impractical to manage manually.

why not?

all pewpew players can do their pewpew on their own hives, NOT on officiall hives, so no problem.

it is a good idea cause it makes it easier for folks who rent servers to create their own community without creating hords of M4 Guys "killing" on official servers.

there will be servers for hermits and pewpew players together, but both have to work a while to get "fully geared" hermit and pewpew player.

there is not much that could be worked out better, in my opinion

One of the core tenets of DayZ is to support people following their own visions of what DayZ is / What their perfect DayZ Mod variant is. This has always been the case.

Now, as the main menu and server UI are iterated upon - we will be taking steps to clearly separate the vanilla DayZ experience - and that of community servers.

As well, Bohemia and the development team have a very clear and firm commitment to development on the core DayZ experience past 1.0, as well as supporting official DayZ servers.

Does "custom server operator" mean that these are only servers NOT connected to the public hive? In that case that would be fine, but Im not sure from that description that they mean that?

This will be after Hives are put into use. There will be some hives that can be arma+zombies if people want to frequent them (and they will) But you won't be able to take that gear into the hardcore first person only loot-scarce servers.

For now. What ErichZann meant was with the CLE, the correct one, not the legacy loot system we have.

With the CLE, it will be possible to control loot distribution for admins. More survival roleplay servers might have less items overall, while some more PVP inclined servers could be packed with military grade gear. This doesn't affect the public hive, as it will be restricted to private servers. No server hopping possible. Also, it can also mean that for some events, admins will be able to completely disable spawning of certain items. Example: Spawning only pistols and revolvers.

This is pretty far down the line I guess, since 0.57 stable sill have legacy loot system with persistence disabled.

The question requires a bit of fleshing out - I'll try and answer:

The central database that DayZ operates on supports sharding. In short - this means it can support many separate independent "shards" on one database.

Thus, the answer specifically is - No modding is supported on the public *shard* of the database, but it (and custom configurations) are fully supported on private *shards* of the main hive.

I hope I didn't muddle that up.

Hives are already in.

Public hive, and private hives.

The control by admins over the CLE will only be possible on the private hives.

On the public hive, only devs will have control over it's settings.

I found a meat tenderizer/mallet today.  Weren't those in last year and taken out or am I thinking about the mod?

Seems like trucks just kind of suck right now..  No power, very slow getting them moving, x-country movement sucks awful bad and getting stuck on the slightest little things.  V3S supposedly has great x-country maneuverability from what I have read about it.

Still having some small inventory glitching, strangeness issues, it very well might be my mouse though.  Things not going where I want them to go or put them, desync trying to pick items up and move them, things disappearing but really they are there, nit-noy stuff like that.  Sometimes I have to log out and back in to fix it.

Finding plenty of processed food up north, which is good since all the animals seem to have gone walk about.  It's a nice break from berries and apples.  Haven't seen or found a hatchet, a regular sewing kit, a battery or a fishing hook and only one wire for a snare from Nishnoye up to Lopatino via Dolina-Stary-Vybor.

Hmm, gonna take the dogs to the park....

Are zeds not respawning after they are killed?  I have seen a few, but very few and very far between.

Thanks for clarification and, well, the game ^^

Sry if this is a stupid question but how does loot, inventory, tents, etc work with those shards - public and private?

For example, will I be able to log off at any point on the map with all my gear on one shard and log back in with all my gear at the same location but on a different shard? Will there be some kind of restriction to prevent players from logging into someone's base in future versions?

I found many hatchets at deer stands and "high" deer stands that are around Myshkino base and NWAF. As for a battery, none yet, and same thing for a fishing hook. (If only animals were spawning, could make one with the bones...)

Didn't find any sewing kits, but plenty of leather sewing kits. Too bad they don't seem to fix vests or boots anymore.  :(  (Might be temporary, or not. No official words on that.)

Your characters are bound to the shard they're in.

Example:  Your 3PP public hive character is shared with all the 3PP, public hive servers. Meaning 3rd person perspective servers connected to the public hive. Those with "public" in the server details on your list. Every server with "private" instead of public is connected to its own private hive. Meaning that if you join server "DayZ fun server" that is private, your character will only be on this particular server and won't be shared with either the public hive, or others private hives, unless the owner of "DayZ fun server" have another private server that is connected to the same hive.

My observations are similar, although I haven't seen a meat tenderizer. Clubbing someone to death with one of those must be epic!

I've only seen a small handful of zeds and since I was carrying around a tent for most of the evening, I was careful to avoid them by using stealthy techniques. Therefore, I'm not sure if they are re-spawning, or not. I am given to understand that the zeds are clustered in the larger towns. The large towns are off limits to me, until I get my Intel machine running again (the rest of my parts arrived yesterday - whoo hoo!).

OK, so far so good. But that means there has to be some kind of protection against people who are switching shards to get into someones base. Or you just can't have a base :p
