I just checked an I can only see the US servers, too. I also tried different search parameters, but all I got were the US servers. How are you guys playing on EU servers? IP connect? Why aren't they showing in the list?

 

I assume at least the EU Servers are up?! Maybe their ping is just off the charts. I'd have to search again with a ping of "2000" maybe. Wanna try this update soon. 

 

Same for me. Even with ping set to "1000", no servers. I can only see US, AUS and Sing servers. Played 30 mins but with ping 200+ it's not working.

I tried to connect to EU servers with different IPs, no luck.

 

The game freezes every time I want to join a server with "-newui" in the start options. With the "old"ui it's working.

 

Waiting for the next experimental update... :)

No but i found the new single shot rifle that uses the AK and CZ rounds. Forgot the name but has the same one as the double barrel shotgun almost. The RAK is pretty awsome for a 380 ammo weapon. The Winchester 70 is a rather beast weapon even with just iron shot. I really want to get a scope for it though.

ya its called the izh 18 I killed a few zombies with the izh even if it is single shot its pretty accurate. The model 70 is really nice I tried it out in my previous adventure ammo is common and it has good iron sights a good alternative to the mosin but I still like the mosin better. The rak is really nice people says it sucks its pretty good it has controllable recoil unlike the mp5k extreme recoil. I'm going today on a first person server to novo then severgograd then that military base right above severograd. If I see anyone I'm not going to be nice....unless there forumers.

Its a good job the infected arn't hitting as hard as after 2 hrs playing I haven't found enough food to get myself into the green and healing phase.

Hmm, so I "bumped" my leg, not sure how but ever since my female avatar is making frequent NSFW sounds. I tried a splint and that removed the leg status but the sounds remain. Any ideas? Re-logging didn't hep either. :(

 

Completely unrelated: whoever suggested ignoring the hotbar is a genius. All my inventory woes seem to be fixed.

I've seen many homes almost lootsploded with various clothes.

 

I made a point of it in game to ColdAtrophy.

 

Some houses had like 4 of each type but very little 6 slot pants and I believe I actually passed some up not realizing that they would become harder to find later. 

I'm really struggling to get this character established. I found plenty of melee weapons, but not a spec of food an no warm clothes. I'm sure that I heard a chicken, but I haven't seen any animals. I was "red starving" when I finally found a small orchard in someone's back yard and I ate eighteen apples. It seems like I walked only 100m towards the next town and I was starving again.

 

Played cat and mouse with a zed, because my sledge hammer disappeared from my hot bar. Even though it was still on my back, it was totally inaccessible. I put on some hiking boots and all of a sudden that unfroze my sledge.

 

Found a pair of binoculars and I'm desperately looking for apple trees. I'm shaking so bad, that I can barely see through them. This character is not going to make it. The only mystery is whether the cold, or starvation will claim me first.

Has anyone been able to detach a battery?

Affirmative ... at least I think so. I had several ghost flashlights from pseudo-duping. I detached the battery from one flashlight, but who knows if it is a "real" battery, until I try to use it.

Yeah, I've had duct tape show in hand, but also in backpack. This leads to it being stuck, when you try to move it, it duplicates, you cant turn one into multiple, but one into two, yes.

 

I'm pretty sure anytime you see that hand symbol in backpack something is foul.

 

Also, baseball bat can be on person shoulder, but when you X out hands it goes in backpack if room, taking up two slots. Shoulder and backpack.

Hmm, so I "bumped" my leg,

Yeah, I got this from exiting the V3S. Which, hey, is understandable lol, aslong as its only a bump, not sure that can lead to anything else, since I got killed by 2 nice fellows that wanted the truck. Also, exiting is very slow, freezes for a bit. The time it didn't happen I lost a weapon, or I dropped it because I was full, cant confirm. If you lose something make sure to check the ground where you lost it, might be laying there. Don't want to report losing something that was just dropped.

These frequently restarting servers are murdering my playstyle. I was never aware how vulnerable my big calorie sources were to server resets. :( Non-persistent garden plots are literally taking food from my mouth.

What's been getting me most is dehydration.  Be wicked careful drinking at ponds, this has made me sick almost every time and that just makes thirst all the more troublesome.  Charcoal tabs don't seem to be working on that either.  Passed out from thirst while searching for apples.  Being on my own that is a death sentence.  Drinking from streams seems to be a bit safer but still...  If you have or find water purification tablets USE them on any source of water except for wells.

Anyway, I just thought I would share my experience. I always think, "What were they doing that caused this?" I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow and I won't be able to play until the middle of the next month so I hope lots of things have changed by then. I'm pretty optimistic!

I dont have time to play experimental, so it is valuable for me that you try it out and find things before it makes it to stable... however, please report bugs you find in experimental in the bug tracker! This is how they will get fixed before they get to stable.

 

As a developer on something else entirely, our entire team spends our time working reported bugs, not working on things reported in forums... the bug report interface is incredibly important to use for this stuff if it is going to get fixed! If it is only put here on the forums, it will not get fixed before it gets to stable, and then people will complain about how this issue was in experimental, so why didn't they fix it?

Agreed. Found lots of painkillers, but no purification tablets. Doing my best to stay away from ponds and streams for the time being.

 

The one upside of a 100% apple diet is that you don't tend to get very thirsty.

Heads up don't spray paint weapons with clips/magazines in them.My Ak74's clip completely vanished into thin air after i spray painted it.
