The rubberbanding is bad but not nearly as bad if you take the steps to prevent it. There are definitely times when it's incredibly annoying though, like come out of a jailhouse or barracks in an AF and having to walk incredibly slow in the open for a good 10 seconds.

 

Managed to FINALLY find a damn fishing hook and did some fishing while it was pitch black on the server. Caught 4 fish, you get two "steaks" per fish, & cooked them up on my fire. Can't wait for this patch to get to stable & the rubberbanding to be solved. This patch, even with all it's glitches, is incredibly fun.

I keep finding abandoned meat from hunt kills.. its hilarious. People are ditching their meat for other items since they dont have the tools to cook them yet. 

 

Why kill if you're not going to eat it? You do know that the Chernarus Fish and Game Department will be looking into these atrocities, right?

Can't wait to get on experimental tonight afterwork! Hoping to actually find some animals tonight seeing as I and a good population of the experimental server players haven't found a single one yet:( ! But there's always hope !

Funny, but when I killed a cow, I had so many steaks that I could not take all the steaks. You don't start throwing out ammo or can openers for a steak. And maybe someone else finds them and is happy. A good deed a DayZ.

Is it me or since the new spawn points up north near Svetlo and Krasno, there is waayyyy more people than the usual at the NEAF? Everytime I have been there, there are has always been at least 2-3 others around who eventually die or get me killed. Feels like Balota all over again.

So can you not eat raw meat from animals? Cooking it should provide more of a benefit but I hope we can eat them raw too.

 

I wonder if they could add in some kind of ice box, like a variation on the protector case that keeps food from spoiling better? That would be cool until we can use fridges and make bases.

 

Hoping this goes stable later rubberbanding is kind of annoying as is getting shot while trying to find new stuff because the servers are so full.

I have 2 of them and I haven't thought to add a battery, it just doesn't seem neccesary

Negative, do not eat the raw meat! I killed a character a couple of days ago by doing it. Cooking is very easy but you have to watch it. Seriously, the window between cooked and burnt is very short, perhaps 15 seconds?

I forgot about server maintenance whilst playing and the server reset, i rejoined and it said my char was reset so i didn't move and logged out... Has my char gone now? Or will i get him back when the servs are back up? sadface if he's gone

Your char should come back after the maintenance.

I have seen pigs, cows and deer.  Can't find a friggin hickory stick to make a fishing pole yet.  Don't matter though, that toon went link dead on a lost session while being attacked by a zed at the Balota Tent City, by the time I logged back in I was hungry and on the other side of the map in the new town up north.

Might be better looking for Ash wood sticks ;)
