I voted for it.

 

Reasons: one, although not the most common it's not unreasonable.

 

Here are some 1911s seized in Kazahkstan, Russia, Ukraine and the Czech Republic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Two, I also remember how Chris Torchia said "we're sticking with common types used in a variety of weapons to save on spawn count". That means we will probably see more .45 weapons whether we like it or not. They may as well add the ones that are most likely, and an old 1911 (or a Turkish or Chinese clone) is better than having a MK23 or a Glock 21 or some such nonsense. Offhand I can't think of any .45 firearms that would be more appropriate.

 

Well, i thank you for voting for it, but i hope my comment didn't make you feel like you had to vote for it.  I wish the devs would really see this forum and see what it is doing to the community by taking ALL the weapon ideas and putting them into this one giant detailed list with an enormous amount of feedback and information.  I could find some more .45 ACP Handguns later on when i get home and after i add the rifles i promised to so long ago.. I know i have said this enough, even to the point of annoyance, but i still cannot believe how damn good this community is when it comes to binding all together and creating something as great as this.  This is a fine example of the community at work to make Dayz a better game in the world.  God bless all of you.

Add the Galil?

 

It is a Assault Rifle used by the Israel Armed Forces since 1972. This Weapon is used around the world and is heavily based on the Avtomat Klashkinov 1947 model. It is chambered in 5.56mmx45mm NATO and 7.62mmx51mm NATO rounds. It uses STANAG magazines (ingame already), Its is in use in 25 countries for by armed forces and Police. It would make since that if UN or NATO forces invaded chernarus to take out the infection that Israel would send some troops or at least small arms and munnitions. just a thought. It was in the mod but everything was in the mod.

The Remington 870 is already being added to Dayz, however i do not know if it is the Marines version of the 870.  I think it is more of the common civilian version.  If i did add it, chances are that it would not be considered by them to add another variant.

Nice description you provided us with.  The Galil Assault Rifle would make perfect sense if it is confirmed that the United Nations had an influence on Chernarus during the outbreak.  However, other weapons such as the Tavor Tar-21 and IMI Uzi are also being used by the Israeli Defense Forces as well. Israel is not the only nation in the United Nations that uses the IMI Galil as one of their firearms.  There are many other nations though that do use the IMI Galil such as the far away country of Nepal to the very close country of Ukraine in consideration of Chernarus.   I may consider it though, if i don't add it to the list within the next 2 hours then that i means i have decided no.  Thanks for your suggestion though.

Other than a few civilian weapons, i THINK we have all the firearms pinned down that would possibly end up in Chernarus. If only the would add a gun shop in Zelenogorsk or Svetlogorsk that would spawn western firearms lol.

Haha, my friend.  We are not even close to being finished with this list.  There is still much feedback to gather from the community and suggestion ideas.  I myself am planning extend this list greatly by adding Melee weapons and explosives to it.
