.+sl4yer+. 3 Posted February 7, 2014 Not possible I can confirm that, all the game freezes due to low FPS, less than 5.

General Zod 1118 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) OkHe did not say less than five FPSHe said Minus 5 FPSImplying that he has in fact a negative frame rate, which is not possible. Edited February 7, 2014 by chmielu1258
the6thmartin 1 Posted February 7, 2014 it feels like an enormous memory leak in the way it behaves. frames start out as normal and slowly decrease and decrease until it inevitably freezes. Not sure why maybe it is the rain. hopefully rocket knows about this and is working to fix it. <_<
trappa 1 Posted February 7, 2014 i got a geforce gtx 760 i will try the tip above
Dr. Goner 661 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) I'll keep adding links to this, I've followed these guides and get 40-50 fps regularly. I have an i7 overclocked to 4.09 and two 760s in SLI. Though DayZ isn't set up to use SLI currently as far as I understand. The dayzpvp link has edits for the cfg and profile files but the site seems to be down at the moment. http://www.dayzpvp.com/ultimate-dayz-graphics-settings-and-tweaks-guide/ http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/156423-dayz-standalone-graphic-guide-for-better-fps/ EDIT: Also, by turning clouds to low I was able to get and extra 10 fps!! Dr. Goner 661 Posted February 7, 2014 I CAN CONFIRM THIS WORKS!!! Should work even better if you set both to 1 instead of three. There are also terrain and shadow rendering values that can be adjusted but the link isn't currently working. http://www.dayzpvp.com/ultimate-dayz-graphics-settings-and-tweaks-guide/

Leviathan-LoneWolf 11 Posted February 7, 2014 can confirm massive FPS drop, eventually causing the game to freeze after a couple of minutes. Had no probs prior to the last patch, game ran smooth even in cities everything maxed out except some small gimmicks. Issue may be connected to weather effects. i5-2500K OCGTX 770 OC8 GB ram DDR3

the6thmartin 1 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) the quick fix lasted me another 10 min but i do think it is a memory leak. when i start the game its around 500k to 800k in task manager but it climbs to like 1,500,000k when it crashes. i should add my graphics card load is not high. Leviathan-LoneWolf 11 Posted February 7, 2014 I'll give the fix a try. let's see. Anyone with FPS crashing achieved constant cure so far? (rain / no rain)

Yeah, I reset all my video settings, reapplied all the suggested fps tweaks, set everything to off, or low, and within around 5 min everything slows right down to the point I literally can't move. I was trying to move from an open field to a grove of trees.

Dr. Goner 661 Posted February 7, 2014 I'm going to have to wait until I get home to try out the new patch. I haven't had any performance issues yet so I'm hoping this is just a few random folks and not everyone.

SunWorshiper 6 Posted February 7, 2014 YES. The game to seem to have a serious memory leak. The fps drops more and more and more over time. Until the game totally freezes. This happens on both AMD and Nvidia Cards. Me myself have a GFX 680 and 6 core intel cpu with asus rampage IV extreme. So it is definently not hardware related. It is the patch. Something is wrong with it.
