Have been playing... the past two days have been literally UNPLAYABLE due to choppy-ness... clan isn't even logging in until choppyness is resolved. Sorry....

So will they have to put this in Experimental branch or right to stable?

 

 a right just came on the Iphone screen- Hotfix to Experimental overnight.

 

"We have a hotfix prepared for the texture (FPS lockup) issue. It will be deployed to experimental overnight to confirm, then consider stable"

 

I take it stable is playable or is everything affected? If so how does it get to stable without notice?

There also seem to be these intermittent latency spikes where the graphics almost appear to freeze for a half a sec. But, the cause isn't client side. It appears to be a server side problem. When I play with friends we all notice the spikes at the same time. We'd call out "spike" when any one of us got it, and pretty much without fail everyone would respond with "yeah, yep or ditto." Sync seems to be a major hit as well now...

Also, this issue persists across SEVERAL servers. Not just a single one.

I have those spikes after the patch with new gear and in the middle of nowhere. I hope the fix will do its job.

Hi and hello!

Hot fix, make game playable again. got 40-60 fps, depending on area. Strangely 33-37 fps when facing northern forest- maybe lot of trees/details causing this.( Optics, grip and stock, sometimes flicker). Did not noticed any excessive fps drops, nor abnormal memory usage. Before hot-fix i got around 40 fps, then they slowly drop to 25 then to 15-10 and after this to 5 and at the end game crashed- all this in only 5 minutes of playing.

I would love to read a change log. Want to know whether new stuff is added aswell, or just the fix ( which has a way higher priority ofc ).

Woot! just ran for about 2 hours on experimental - cuttin it up in electro first then off to cherno (minor lag sighting from the firestation tower was all) then off to balota choppin zeds all along the way with me settins on high and virtually no lag and no indication of the previous FPS drops we've been seeing and it was unplayable for me before.... there is hope! - me likes :)

Out of interest could the lag spike (I've not experienced it myself) be to do with the clouds/weather system. I know there was a similar bug in previous versions and it's the reason I run with clouds disabled.

Since the last past, DayZ has become nearly unplayable for our clan... frame-rates drop to unbearable lows... just a heads up.

So um not sure if this is the best place to post this but I will...

 

 

So me and at least of my clan mates were tearing it up in Elektro for a good few hours, met a lot of others in there was well and apart from when I spawned in I did NOT get hit with the current FPS drop at all on experimental, I'm pretty sure they've fixed the problem.

 

On a side note does anyone know if they've added or when the fix will be added to stable?

Fire up the experimental build.  It's working nicely now!  :)

I hope you are on this FPS drop matter, because being this an Alpha you need us users to test it, but if we cannot even test this because of this constant problem, you wont have any results. My clan has been experiencing this and since then, sadly, we have partially quitted playing DayZ till a fix is released, even if we love this game.

There is a known issue with either corrupted data from loot acquired before the patch, and or a memory leak. They will be fixing early next week.

I hope you are on this FPS drop matter, because being this an Alpha you need us users to test it, but if we cannot even test this because of this constant problem, you wont have any results. My clan has been experiencing this and since then, sadly, we have partially quitted playing DayZ till a fix is released, even if we love this game.

this issue has already been tackled by a hotfix  its currently in experimental to try .

Nope. There's no lag spike. There's an FPS issue and it's definitely not related to clouds or weather. That was fixed already hence why weather was brought back in. Disabling clouds is a no no btw...it makes things look very weird and also for soem weird reason, increases the volume of wind

Zombies are still very buggy, pass through walls, beat from the first floor if you are on the second.

But became more aggressive ;)

Also the wallglitch bug needs crushing soon :).

Plus I think something is wrong with determining the position of players.

 

Sometimes I see people glitching through walls or fences and then they magicaly appear few meters away instantly.

Seems like server can not keep track of players location very precisely all the time O_o.

Game runs smooth if you use the cfg tweaks/start parameters provided in the steam guide.

 

Ofc that should be fixed though.

Stop being lazy, how about you read the forum for 5 minutes and you could have found the answer!!!
