What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?

I think alot of these issues are related to server/client desync, i got killed by a guy with a broken leg after putting 6 sks rounds through his face at 3-4 meters. Was pretty upset about it, but decided to leave it and go back to playing stable.

What I've seen of hackers is undeniable hacking. So yes, it's a fact. Helicopters that aren't obtainable in the game and other undeniable hacks that I've witnessed on a consistent basis are indeed a fact and not "desync" that so many losers like to lay the blame on.

So now you know what I do, right? You obviously know how I play. On DayZMod I would ALWAYS join high pop servers, I didn't like low pop ones because it was just no fun, and yet no hackers.

On DayZ Standalone I don't join High Pop Servers because there is simply nothing to do, on a full server there is no loot, so you can't really do anything, I try to join servers with 20-25 players.

I have 438 hours played, mostly on populated servers, and have seen ZERO CONFIRMED HACKERS.

 

Seen tons of combat loggers (before the fix, and some after)

Seen tons of dupers.

Seen tons of exploiters (hiding inside of walls, etc)

Been killed 2-3 times right after logging in under "suspicious" circumstances... 

 

But nothing I can CONFIRM as definite hacking. 

 

For those of you who claim to see hackers "all the time", you're either extremely unlucky, or extremely bad. . . and I don't believe in luck, so read between the lines.

 

 

Wanna see a game infested with hackers? Go back to DayZ Mod.... And yes, even on private hives, because the fact is most private hive servers are owned and operated by 14-17 year old kids. Good luck.

I don't claim i do see hackers all the time, invisible people behind me swinging their axes and killing me is not a claim it is fact, people appearing behind me shooting me, my friend watches him fly around and then he is behind my friend and kills him, rinse and repeat four times, people calling out my name and knowing who i am with even though we don't have a clan tag and we have not encountered them before, these are not claims.

 

maybe your not the smartest apple out of the bunch so you can't see what is plainly obvious or you dont have several perspectives on the situation and so do not know when you are killed by hacker. Anyone who plays with a sqaud will have seen a hacker as it is quite obvious when there is a group of you. Don't try and insult me or anyone else as you are just showing how stupid you must be to miss them or you could be extremely lucky and have missed the hackers. Regardless do not try and lay doubt to what i have seen and spread misinformation as if there is no problem because there clearly is.

Well people "wall hacking" could just be a player walking in the direction of a wall, usually what happens is that the server thinks he can continue so he walks through it and then the client say "nuu uhh" and he get tp'ed back. I see that alot playing with my friends.

hey, how did you prove that aimbot and playerfinders? because i am always on high pop servers like in electro and now in berenzino. with 100+ and never came across an aimbotter or similar.

 

 

For one dude, look on youtube..go to some forums and look at the footage provided..I know what ghosting is and  combat logging and all that and im not talking about that.  I am talking a clear 180 turn around from 150-200 meters head shot...you dont turn on people..another time i was headshot and my buddy got the video the bullet never even comes near me when it hit the ground..Yet i have never had problems with the SA hitbox...Just because you say you havent seen any hackers means nothing.  Im not going to go crying wolf.. i love this game even with its crappyness, i dont complain...im simply typing a post in a hacker thread..i know what is and what isnt...You never just turn on someone across a field and headshot them..it doesnt happen in this game exspec after they were in a dead sprint with no weapon out.

Same here, 600 hours and counting. I know when i am killed by a hacker, if i cant prove it i dont call hacks but if i see it and i do see it a lot, at least 24 times so far then i know its a hacker, it is plainly obvious if you have a brain and you know what you are looking for.

This IS the question. Many of the other posts in these hacker topics are the script kiddies themselves making trollish inflammatory comments suggesting that PC gamers are wrong about the prevalence of cheating in PC games despite the mountain of evidence that a simple google search will provide. We are not fooled and its not funny, seriously kids, its an old joke already. Shut up and do some chores or something. Do something positive with your lives.

I don't notice much cheating when I'm not around an airfield or in Elektrozavodsk/Berezino. It's when you go to these places that you start getting shot through brick walls without having even exposed yourself. I've tested every single wall in the ATC and jail/detention buildings on airfields with an M4A1 and Mosin while shooting at a friend inside. You 100% cannot shoot through these walls legitimately. I've died at least six times since the weekend (literally) while PVPing in NEAF by being shot through the walls of the ATC and jail/detention buildings.

 

The best example of which was when I got hit by one M4 round while under the stairs of the jail/detention building eating. It ruined my shirt, so I crawled to the corner of the building underneath the stairs. A few seconds later, another shot, and I was dead. My friends told me the shots came from sniper hill. They later verified that's where the shots were coming from as a guy crossed the runway in a half dozen teleports and ran inside the ATC where he proceeded to shoot them. He killed two of my friends as they were crouched in the upstairs hallway. My third buddy combat logged. We commended his bravery. (;

 

I guess one could advise others to just stay away from these contested areas, but that's currently where the most fun takes place. I want to see another ban wave pretty soon as this is getting a little out of control.

With the new patch, I've seen an abundance of hacking.  People teleporting, shooting through shit and hitting people, even when there's no chance in hell they can see them, etc.  I was searching DayZ hacks because a few times yesterday I got shot and killed by some dude I couldn't see or find(might have been because I just didn't see him).  I stumbled across a couple websites that actually outline in a box, everyone that is on the map, how close they are, can tell the player what gear they have, can show the player what gear is spawned in homes, etc.  I've just been hearing a lot of suspicious things with the new patch and I'm wondering if anyone else is running into these issues, hearing things, etc.  Also was curious how hard it is to hack DayZ(to determine how likely abundant hacking is), and if the team has hacking on their radar at all during pre alpha.  I can deal with the game not working well because it is in alpha, desync getting me killed, and stuff like that, but dying from a hacker is and always will be bullshit and hacking a game just shows how shitty the player is at the game.  It's one of the reasons I haven't played rust in a while.  Last time I was on there was a fucking hacker war where they just continuously wiped each other out(including everyone else on the map) because they were pissed at each other....

Again I don't doubt it exists. I just think that a lot of the claims are really lag/exploit/glitch/sneaky player. If it happened how you say it did then I would say, yes that is a real hacker. But there are a lot of claims other people have made out there that just seem bogus.

 

As for encountering hackers as frequently as you said do you play on the same server a lot? If so it's probably the same one or two guys.

 

Yeah, agreed. A lot of the people complaining around here seem like they might be newer to the game. My friends and I will actually server hop looking for other people doing the same, and attack them. Find a server that's just reset with a handful of people on it and scout it out. We'll wait for a few minutes and move on if no one is around. I feel like we're doing a public service as we rarely take any of the loot unless one of us gets hit and needs a new shirt or pair of pants. (;

 

This is probably why we see so many people cheating as we literally JUST PVP at airfields. We love the game and will go back to "surviving" the apocalypse when it becomes actually difficult or until they add in some fun new features. :3

the "invisible hack" is a bug. had the same issue while i was playing with some friends as we were in a house and one of us got invisible. i asked him, where he is and he told me, that he is standing next to me, but our whole group couldnt see him for 5 minutes. while he was invisible, he was able to open doors, walk around, block us on stairs etc.

That is desync my friend.  I seem to get it a lot and had the exact same scenario.  Ask my friends, "Where are you?"  To which they reply, "Right in front of you".  Only to have the magically appear out of nowhere.  And I've had infected do the same.  All of a sudden I'm being hit when nothing is around, 20 seconds later I get the broken chain and low and behold, it's an infected attacking me.  People really need to think about what they are accusing others to be doing before they come ranting on the forums.

It's definitely getting worse, I've come across 3 hacked SKS and M4s (with the unlimited ammo thing) in the last few days, I also incountered a hacker at NEAF while overwatching with 2 friends before we risked looting, lucky we did too because he jerkily moved across the entirety of the runway from east to west in a very short period of time, luckily we managed to retreat and log off without being noticed.

 

It's getting out of hand. <_< More definitely needs to be done to combat it, because it's rife at the moment.

 

It's weird too, because hacking is far more damaging to DayZ than it would be to a FPS game, yet we as players have fewer ways to combat it, seemingly by design since the character names of people who kill us, or who we kill aren't shown.

Hackers do exist in this game. It seems you jump to conclusions as usual, because my post was not a denial of that fact. I haven't personally encountered any hackers during my 140 hours of SA, but I have seen sure proof of hacking in various videos.

 

Still doesn't change the fact that your statement about that poster couldn't have played "on servers with actual people on them" is pure bullshit. But I don't really take any of your statements at face value, because with only 30 posts under you belt, you have still managed to post more crap on this forum than even the Indian love wizard spammer.

Maybe you should ask some private hack users about their experiences with BE. I doubt they share your opinion.

Besides, the almighty VAC that many players love so much is active as well...
