I hope they fix the too many "everything" problem in the hotfix.Checked the loot table for you and yes, Pipebombs are still in the Loot table AND there is a weapon recipe to make your own pipebomb. With the direction we are going with traps, I hope we include the IED's in the next update .. hint hint. The amount of loot is ridiculous. It seems to be greater than was in 1.7.6.1 even. I know I NEVER found an NVG in 1.7.6.1 or 1.7.7 and yesterday I found TWO at the same crashsite. Why the complete reversal in loot spawns? 1.7.7 was too spartan so an increase was in order, but just a small increase.. I do think reduced loot is better for the game since it creates a need for the gear other players carry .. which is the stated purpose of the game and the bandit ethos. In 1.7.7 I stopped to examine every single dead body by the road just in case it had bandages or a bloodbag ... in other words, the loot had value, which gave a purpose to killing players. oldfossil 59 Posted September 21, 2013 I've now twice encountered a bug where after being knocked unconscious and then killed, I will 'wake up' with the unconscious hourglass appearing on-screen (complete with the white filter), but be able to move around as normal.Not only could this be a huge exploit if I was armed (I wasn't, either time), if you have no way of killing the zombies attacking you, then you're actually stuck in some kind of limbo - for some reason you're not 'dead' (at least until you log out and log back in), but you can't abort, because it registers you as in combat. I actually had to alt-f4 out of the game, because there was no other way I could think of to resolve the situation.This issue is happened to me also, white permanent screen limbo, ESC key not working.Z's are better than before, the only thing I don't like is the total lack of any attack animation that makes them too unearthly when they hits you.Anyway you have done an awesome job. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Bludy 324 Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) i've experienced the same bug..i've been kicked off the game, when i log back, i regularly died and been able to respawn then this morning i keep logging in and i see my last seconds of life and then the game kind of freezes and i can only close it from windows. I hope they fix it as Satchel Charges take skill to use effectively and are quite rare, unlike the abundant amount of M4A1's scattered around the map. seaweeduk 97 Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) .8,1 patch notes are looking good I'm glad the loot system isn't working as intended. I think loot was one thing 1.7.7.1 did right. I really like your new military loot table r4z0r its very close to the one I had been running myself last patch. I would recommend moving the M14 out of that table though and the 24 slot backpacks. Getting people to travel North has always been a challenge for me and limiting the military loot table (and giving Stary its own seperate table which was between military and military special) proved to be very fruitful on my server last patch. We kept the bias at 67 and even had requests to lower it. Adding more guns like the bizon, mp5, mp5sd and bizon sd to the table helped us too people tend to not want to camp in Elektro all night when the only weapon they have is an SMG which is only really useful against zombies. Zombies kill you with 8 hits, we want old school back, zombies hit you causing 200 of damage, bleeding cause 80 blood loss per second... This is dayz... LouisK 85 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) I just found in the barracks a G36C SD, althought the game did not let me pick it up and it did not show up on the gear when i pressed G, on the scroll menu an option to pick it up appeared, and when I clicked it the gun in the ground dissapeared but I didn't pick it up. Is the G36C SD now on the loot tables? P.S: No one hacked it, I'm on a private hive with the real loot tables on a LAN test server. I gave it to myself in the database and it failed to spawn so I think its in the loot tables by accident. It must be a banned weapons which is why it gets deleted when touched. As for zombies: I agree, they were a mere nuisance before, now they bitch-slap players right to death. If its not addressed in the 1.8.1 it will need to be fixed. I am reasonably sure the fn_damagehander.sqf file in dayz_code would be the place to look for that fix. I liked the bleed better, as it made bandages a real necessity, so a compromise between the two should be implemented, as it is i can get hit 6 times and not bleed, but be down to 6000 health (give or take 4000). why on earth would you have a survival game set in a zombie apocalypse and then make the zombies *just* a nuisance? The zombies should be a clear threat, so that going into towns is actually a risk. also killing zombies should be more of a necessity than it was, i could run through berenzino aggroing the whole way and not have to kill any zeds, which is surely a sign that zombies are off. yes player interaction is more important than the zombies, but KoS is not player interaction, it's deathmatch. Having zeds that require killing would encourage a different playstyle than derping through cities not giving a shit how many zeds are chasing you because you're hunting freshspawns. on the subject of choosing spawns, I didn't like the idea at first, but it seems to work out that the north is actually a bit more dangerous, as alot of people choose to spawn in berenzino. Which is good, all in all the south coast was far too populated and the north was way too sparse, berenzino was almost constantly empty which made gearing up far too easy, now i have to go inland straight away if i don't want a bullet between the eyes. also please lower loot spawns, i dunno about some guns as i still havent seen a m1911 or a makarov in about a week, but food and military gear is a bit plentiful. Did the server in question have some kind of server side anti hack running (usually you see a script scan complete box on login) could be that this server hasn't been configured properly for 1.8 and its removing the gun as a hacked weapon. If its a banned class you wouldn't see the guns model on the ground. The gun is definitely in the 1.8 loot table haven't tested one out myself in game though. edit: nm read it was a LAN server so I'm guessing no antihack, will have to try this gun out myself tonight Edited September 23, 2013 by seaweed Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
