Hello Survivors!

The PC Update 1.05 of DayZ is now live. It brings you an expansion on the disease system and introduces an advanced vaulting and climbing system. On the combat side, we've added two new pistols and one assault rifle. Furthermore, we've expanded our language support with Polish and Japanese.

New Weapons

Mlock-91

The Mlock-91 is a semi-automatic pistol, fed from a detachable magazine. Affordable and compact, it is commonly used by the Chernarussian police forces. It uses 9x19mm rounds.

MKII

The MKII is a semi-automatic, integrally-suppressed pistol, fed from a detachable magazine. Using .22 LR rounds, it is considered both silent and lethal against short range targets without armour.

KAS-74U

The KAS-74U is a shortened version of the KA-74 assault rifle, usually equipped with a side-folding metal shoulder stock.

• Players can now vault over fences and walls.
• Players can now scale objects up to 2,30 meters height.

Communication

• Players can now switch between shouting, speaking & whispering for different voice ranges.

TWEAKED

• Tweaked: Despawn time for dead bodies and animals increased
• Changed: Updated credits to reflect the recent changes
• Changed: The saline bag is faster to apply and now increases the blood replenishment (visualized through the medication (pill) indicator).
• Changed: Giving the wrong type of blood can now cause the character to go unconscious and trigger a hemolytic transfusion reaction
• Changed: The hemolytic transfusion reaction is faster and more severe
• Changed: The item rotation is now considered when looking for an inventory position
• Changed: Sights misalignment configured for weapons and their attachments
• Changed: Ambient loot can now also spawn in "rotten" and "dried" states
• Changed: Randomizing fruit and mushroom spawning
• Changed: All restraining items now receive a certain amount of damage when removed from hands, even without a tool
• Changed: Car crashes now decrease the player's health
• Tweaked: Bullet damage is reduced with longer bullet travel time
• Tweaked: Lowered regeneration rate of the character health
• Tweaked: Adjusted the injured stance thresholds to allow more mobility at lower character health values
• Tweaked: Increased the amount of blood loss from bleeding sources
• Tweaked: Quantity in UI is now hidden for the Saline Bag, IV Saline Bag, Epinephrine and Morphine (single-use items)
• Tweaked: Reduced damage and shock value received from infected
• Tweaked: Slightly increased chance for a bleeding source from an infected attack
• Tweaked: Fist-attacks now cause less health damage and shock.
• Tweaked: Drinking from wells and ponds should no longer get the player replenished so fast

LAUNCHER

• Changed: Launching Survivor GameZ now ignores the startup parameters that could prevent from joining a game
• Changed: "Play DayZ" on Steam now starts the DayZ Launcher by default

KNOWN ISSUES

• Certain player models don't have textures in their decayed status
• The PAS radio is not visible in the inventory UI
• Wolves can hit a player inside cars through closed doors
• Cholera modifier might not disappear until relog

Good update 🙂
Can i publish my little priority wishlist for 1.06 here?   Just 4 points really.

 

Dayz Wishlist:

- Fix Bullet damage,  it is way too weak now. You often need 5 bullets or more of .45 acp to down unarmoured target.  also 9mm and .380 is usless.  High calibre also almost never drops somone with 1-2 bullets unless headshot. You should die or go unconsious quicker
- Fix inertia,  No more instant 0-100 acceleartin at running please. Fix Zig-Zagging, no more 180 degrees turn on full speed. No more strafing A-D with no speed loss
- Fix Combatlog, increase time to disconnect to 45seconds, make a sound like yawning when he is waiting the time, and a sleeping back zip, disconnect directly.
- Fix basebuilding.  For now you need hours to build and seconds to break. Please balance this. It is completely useless to build a base right now in vanilla

It’s great to see that this game is getting better every day, the progress can be a bit faster, more interesting interactions with the players, try to add some seemingly harmless and fun features in the test version (some players are The forum's recommendations can be used as a reference!), I believe that DAYZ still exists ten years later.

Game is crashing after this update. Crashes right after I click on play button and it loads half the bar. Gonna verify the game files and try again.

I am trying to log into a vanilla server that i played previously, but instead of saying that it can't be reached, it takes me to a differently new server. Is this by design? It doesn't do this for the Modded server i was checking on that is down.

seriously guys, the amount of switcheroos in your xml files, tabs vs. spaces vs. tabs, trailing spaces in the xml, constant switch of line endings, etc.

is annoying as F.

it is really hard to keep custom server files in sync with 1 mio microchanges per patch.

i have to clean them up every time to keep some sane diffs.

G is now to start the animation to throw something, not just drop.

If you hold G you are dropping smth.  Not sure why they switched it around to what it was before.

At least i mostly need drop, and just sometimes throw, so it would be logical that the most used is just press G, not hold G.

Thanks for a great update. Two questions though:

1) Have you shut down any official servers? I cant find the server I was playin on the last week. We had quite a huge base there :/

2) Have you done anything about the duping problem? It is exhausting to run around the map for many hours finding just SKSs and stuff :/

Hi Impulz, I played on the gameservers stable hive which was moved:

"in two weeks (on the 2nd of September), we will be moving several Official PC servers to the Community Tab. As this includes a hive switch, characters on these servers will be wiped on that day. However, the map persistence will stay intact. So, to not lose any progress and keep your server, we recommend you to:
1. Stash your gear in some persistent way on the server before September 2nd (in tents, barrels, or buried in the ground).
2. Note down your server IP, to easily find your server again, after the switch has been made."

I did as suggested and now all my usefull gear is buried on a hive were no-one plays, my character wasn't wiped and I can log-in to the 1.05 official stable, but ofc. all usefull gear is stripped and buried on another hive.

Why make me bury all my gear when I still have my character on the 1.05 official stable?

I could have kept everything I wanted to keep on my character and then all would be good.

I'd recommend using the GitHub repository to get all the changes. This said, I'll do a pass on all files 😉

They Added Salmonella and Cholera.. Purify your water with Chlorine tablets... drink canned beverages... Pipsi or Spite or Kvas 😛...  Simple... People that don't read the patch notes and don't pay attention cry about Bohemia breaking the game but actually they brought back a feature everybody wanted 😄

Amphibia is in the game bro confirmed and also they said that they added it which means that they DID add it so why asking? xD 
play on community servers and modded servers since official server have screwed up economy... i play on Experimental official server... went to balota... found like 5 SG-5K's and like 7 FX-45s ... with mags enough to start a World War 3 xD
