Hello all, I'm Sebby McWester (aka Sebastian). I'm American, 16, and am new to Dayz as well as PC gaming in general. I Just got my Lenovo Y50 laptop a few days ago, and I got Dayz last night. I've known about it for some time, I've just not had a computer to play on  :lol: . So far, I've been playing solo in Dayz, but would prefer to team up if anyone wants to. Also, watch out for a demented-looking horse, a purple viking, a bearded axe-wielding lumberjack and/or serial-killer and the many other dangerous creatures that lurk around this place.

Anyway, much like a deranged, post-apocalyptic Santa Claus, I have brought a bag filled with cans of beans for all of the newcomers. :o

Addicted to DayZ. Been playing for a few weeks now. Got four friends (and likely more on the way) also addicted.

Our "clan tag" if you want to call it that is [OMG] for Old Men Gaming. We are all a but of 40 somethings with families that play games when we can.

Our motto is, "The Best at Being the Worst". Meaning we are eternal newbs, though we do sometimes have our moments of glory. =P

We are overall friendly in game though we have had a few,... misunderstandings. In general KOS is not how we want to play.

 

Anyway, we're loving DayZ.

Hi all,

 

My name in-game is "Schweinsteiger"! My steam name is "grayswandir7".

 

I'm a good guy and a soon to be a bandit/assassin hunter. People who KOS are cowards.

 

I met two cool fellas in Berezino. They gave me a knife so I could butcher a pig. It was pristine. (thanks guys). They were taking out a small gaggle of zombies while talking with me. They said to keep my fireaxe on my back (I offered to help kill the Zeds but I don't blame them. Trust no one in DayZ!). We peacefully part ways and I headed for the jail to find a real weapon.

 

Next thing I know some lunatic with an MP5 (had to be an MP5, it was suppressed and not doing a lot of damage to me) starts pelting me with 9mm bullets. I take cover and then run my ass off. I had no idea where the shots were coming from. I was bleeding a little so I bandage myself. While I'm doing that two Zeds show up and start kicking my ass. I run for a ladder and climb on a rooftop to regain my composure. 

 

Somehow I made it out of Berezino alive. 

 

Yesterday I found a blood test kit. I'm O+! I also found a pristine pair of binoculars!

 

This game has a lot of potential. Right now though it feels more like "Running man" rather then a fleshed out zombie apocalypse. But that will all change rather soon. New update coming this Wednesday! We'll be able to grow food for ourselves.

 

I'm new to steam so I'm not exactly sure how to hook up with people. I did team up with a cool guy named Revolt. I need to find him again on steam. Unfortunately Revolt died in my arms. I died shortly thereafter.

Hey new friends!

In-Game name is DRKBRTH (Dark Birth, Dork Breath, Dark Breath, whichever suits you) and I'm new here.

I bought Day Z Standalone about 2-3 months ago in hope that it could get it working on my Mac. BootCamp, Parallels & VMWare failed me, so I decided to finally make the smart move to buy a PC. I've only ever been a console Gamer prior to this, so performance on my computer wasn't something I was ever concerned about. In the time leading up to receiving my Tax Return, I mostly watched videos from Deluxe and the rest of his "crew". Kept me entertained to say the least.

 

Got my tax, got my computer, got Day Z fired up and here we are!

 

I'm not sure if it's because I'm on Australian servers, and Australians are notoriously pricks, but everyone I come across is straight away aggressive. Tried to befriend a couple of people to make the game a little more enjoyable for myself, only to get a lovely axe to the back of the head. Now, If I see someone, I stalk them to try understand what kind of player they are, and if shoot if it feels right.

Finally got around to making a profile for this game. Not new to the forums (Been reading in the shadows) and not new to the game either. I've been playing DayZ since the mod just began and started playing the standalone one day after it was released. I decided to finally make a profile and start contributing to the community. I have a whole community that I play with and we just recently got a new server so I don't know the IP off the top of my head, but soon as I get it I'll add it to my post.

Welp..i couldn't wait any longer :( The cherno wanderlust is too strong....I desire beans and footprints...And although i know where I'm going I already look foward to the comfort that a compass and a map will bring. Once again I seek the crazy towns and lonely hills.
