hahahahaha_u_die 0 Posted August 15, 2015 I'd like to kill one and make a leather pack. I have ran around the entire map with multiple lives on several servers, private and public. Only dumb cows and chickens. Maybe a goat.
Mookie (original) 799 Posted August 15, 2015 Try Nadezhdino, round the back of the houses on the SE side. There's often a pig there, I might have seen a boar once or twice there. Other than that, I think I've seen a boar 'in the wild' only once in .57 - and he ran fast.
hahahahaha_u_die 0 Posted August 16, 2015 I will check that out, thx. I have used a webpage with graphics illustrating the potential animal spawn points, and pretty much zigzagged throughout every radius displayed. It didnt seem very consistent, but then again, i am a little confused on animal spawn rate, the frequency, type and location mechanics.

Prepare to be even more confused when .58 goes stable, I gave up looking and started finding them at random looking for heli crashes. They wander and get spooked all over the map instead of just wandering in a radius where they spawned.
therandomredstone 432 Posted August 16, 2015 Check the nearest outhouse. You can find so much in those buggers.

You're not supposed to know where everything will be when you need it.Animals migrate and travel.

anderswhk 23 Posted August 16, 2015 (edited) I've only seen a boar in the wild a few times, and it's been a while. I think it was 0.57 but not sure. Edited August 16, 2015 by anderswhk
yazar8 584 Posted August 16, 2015 There has been times that I've seen this cute fella more than I see a player. But this was back in April

Now what they said though about them migrating and making stops at water one should be able to make educated guesses on where game should be. The idea of go to this town for this particular animal like the Berizino cow I've killed three times after resets in one day on a long play session on stable is just dumb. hahahahaha_u_die 0 Posted August 17, 2015 While i agree that animals should spawn randomly, i suppose im one of those players that would like to be able to live in the forests, and survive on hunted game, if i had to. Currently, there just isnt enough wildlife to sustain a full tummy, even while hopping around to deer stands. Always have to go back in town somewhere to grab canned goods. I still want my leather pack.

If you want to live in the woods it should and is possible but don't expect to do it off one food source. Throw in seeds and a garden tool, some netting and wire, and a gun, bow, or crossbow at it though and it's almost too easy.

That seems like some worthwhile accomplishments, while we wait for the updates(and my boar). Thx for the advice! Even tho i have maybe 72 hours in game so far, there is still so much i don't know yet. I was thrilled when i figured out you could collect berries and wild apples.
