Exp Update: 0.58 + Hot Fix.

That's what I think too. Still, was just glad to see it's back finally! ;)

 

Edit: Watching Toperec's stream, he found one in the newly opened barracks. It didn't seem like it was dropped by another player this time.

You're sure? It has the loot tag military_west which is American loot and only spawns at the American crash site and the Oval officer building.

Either my files are not up-to-date which is weird or the locations are stored somewhere in a cloud.

Sux, I want this thing done and on stable. These packed servers are forcing scrubs playing the wrong game into my walking in the woods looking around simulator.

 

I did run into a couple cool guys randomly last night, they shared some pumpkins as I was doing bad and they'd picked the remote area clean. I told them about the net fishtrap which they didn't know existed and everyone walked away with our bullets and blood still on our persons. 

I was looking for People from the forum when i play to play a bit together.

But I never run into someone even if the servers were full.

I think that was my luck otherwise i would been killed for sure,

i dont care if i die, im always friendly and only attack if someone try to kill me.

But since there are almost no Z atm the most people will kill u on sight thats realy bad.

Yep, I'm sure of it. (Unless a player intentionally left it there, along with many other valuable items. The doors were closed too.)

 

It is possible too, that it was left there by another player.

I don't care if we get a lot of delays as long as we get a functioning feature complete 1.0.

 

Game dev estimates often play out like building construction estimates and I'm mentally prepared for that.

 

I just have to keep reminding myself....

I'm not a social person and am bothered by the sound of voip sometimes plus as always happens at my house the kids get loud anytime I'm trying to interact. I can avoid people pretty well and usually do but I like knowing they're there, I play enough I can figure out AI and it gets old fast. I usually don't care if I make a mistake and die, I never play offensively actually preferring the term "neutral". Someone asks if I'm friendly I reply that that depends on them or something to that effect. I bought into this as a longterm survival game and don't get the playstyle of killing everything that moves. I get that other people do but there's plenty of other games made just for that and some of the complaints I see on here from them seems like that's all they can understand. Sure other humans may be a threat but I feel in an end of the world if you kill everything that moves you would just end up dead and alone in the long term either way.

 

So looking forward to getting back to a private server with this build and 4-10 other people just trying to get by and enjoying a quiet sandbox shooting through the infected if they get in the way of my day to day needs.

 

I do feel genuinely sad when I get killed for no good reason when if that person had of interacted even trying to rob me or whatever they and I would have shared and experience that AI cant emulate.

Is Land_Barrack2 the Oval officer building to which you refer?

Is anyone near Balota AF? If so, care to check if there are zombies there? I went by it the other day looking for boats on the beach and didn't actually walk up onto the strip.

I'm sure they're out there but other than the infected spawning servers I haven't seen any in .58 and it looks like I'm at 100+ hours on this exp. If they're working like previous builds they might be spawning at reset only so if someone kills the few that are there they're gone until the next reset.

I'm trying to understand the way that the game files are setup. Some locations appear to have min/max setup for zombie spawns but most do not. Balota is one of them. Then again, it also says that there should be 30 zombies at Myshinko mil tents and I know for a fact that is not correct so I'm guessing there is more to this that I do not understand yet.

That could be possible as well. We can not be for sure unless the developers can confirm it.

Yep, it's the oval building which is at every tents. It has a few bed bunks to the right and a table in the center to the left.

I'm having a hard time as well sometimes in figuring out how the game files work. It says no animals and zombies are spawning while we still find herds of deer.

Perhaps there are even zombies out there while it says 0.

There is always the possibility that it is configured in a central database and that some of the game files are outdated.

I've been to Myshinko at least a half dozen times this build on full and empty server and haven't seen one there either. The way they're chunking in new stuff over old stuff is there a chance what your're looking at is an artifact no longer called on and something server side is handling it now?

Exactly, although I don't think it's server sided but rather central.

Like how the developers can control the loot table from all servers.

It's probably a central database with every aspect (infected, loot, animals, etc.).

Getting the unofficial changelog as close to accurate as I can prior to the Stable release, and I need to enlist the group's help again regarding current known issues. As far as I can tell, this list is accurate, but a few things are questionable. In particular I'm not sure about that last one regarding the new UI -- every other reported issue specific to the new UI seems to be fixed, but I haven't played with it since the first build of 0.58 so I can't confirm. (Also, definitely let me know if I'm missing anything.)

 

* Fuel gauge in V3S always shows empty
* Incorrect character animations at the Main Menu
* Error message pops up when quitting the game
* Some crafting functions for the Oil Barrel not working properly
** Barrel cannot be emptied or filled
** Leather items disappear when attempting to dye them
** Tanning a Cow pelt in a barrel makes the fertilizer and cow pelt disappear
* Liquid containers and some stacked items are not updating percentage/quantity of contents properly
* Handguards and foregrips cannot be removed or modified
* Interacting with a Cooking Pot or Frying Pan does not give an option to "View Contents"
* Weapon attachments sometimes appear invisible in 3rd person perspective
* Cannot access vehicle inventory (new prototype UI only)

Still happening in the current patch for me but having trouble living long enough to test others on full servers.

These 3 are still in there as far as I know.

What do you mean with this one?

188 pages and going strong, by the way where do you guys find vests, I think I've just been unlucky with them. Also found an AUG on a heli crash, I assume the mags only spawn there as well, right ?

Hicap and Assault Vests are in the old barracks and heli crashes. You can find press vests all over the place. AUG mags can spawn in the officer's barracks as well if I'm not mistaken. 

 

EDIT: Oh yeah, SMERSH vests and backpacks can be found in military tents and heli crashes too. Forgot about that one.

I've found press vests in generic houses and military vest in tent cities. Last time I survived a trip through Myshinko there was 2 total and I had a choice of a damaged black 8 slot or another damaged black 8 slot.

Nope, you're right. Until you said that, I wasn't sure what he was talking about either but you jogged my memory. 

 

I also learned about putting steaks directly from the fire into my backpack and the face melting that occurs firsthand. I nearly died. Not a bug though, I don't think.

whiskeytango got it right. This is the feedback ticket acknowledging the issue: http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=26694. The way it's stated, this doesn't seem to be intentional behavior (which I figured it very well could be).

 

Still totally possible to cook regardless, it just requires a more active participation in the process to make sure food doesn't burn.

 

 

EDIT: I understand the confusion with the way I worded it. I'll try something else that should hopefully be more clear :)

 

EDIT 2: How about "Interacting with a Cooking Pot or Frying Pan does not give an option to "View Contents"?
