+/-1 hour after filling a cooking pot with 4 cans of spaghetti, I drank the 80% water that was already in the pot. The pot wouldn't go back into my inventory so I threw it with G. A few minutes later in a different house I tried to drink a soda and got the messages Cannot remove item your hands Unable to pickup item Logging off and back onto the server fixed it. The cooking pot was in my hands again, and I was able to empty the cans of food then place the pot in my backpack. Got to play at sunrise for the first time in months. Loving it!

Couple hours ago I was east of the NWAF and saw black heli smoke on my side of the airfield. Excitedly run towards it while looking around. Look back at it after a few seconds, smiling to myself, and the damn thing disappeared! Just now ran from Novy Sobor to the fields above Stary hoping to find another heli. Sure enough I see a non-smoking chopper, make it there and get rewarded with a VSS Vintorez sporting a pristine PSO-1! "Hell yeah! I better run back to camp and store the Mosin + the extra 14 rounds, keep this baby on me, head back here and see if any VSS mags have spawned." My camp's near Novy Sobor so it's a 10 minute run there and back, max. I run back, lo and behold, the damn thing disappeared! xD I'll say it again. IDK if I love to hate this game or hate to love it, but I'm hooked either way. Loving this release. Thanks again for the hard work, guys. I mean the devs and all you guys (and gals) who report bugs.

Anyone have an idea how long it may take for the servers to come back up? Gotta sleep for work tonight but after this announcement...well, that's what caffeine is for. :)

As a land surveyor I jammed my rod into some smelly, filthy manholes more times than I care to admit. I dislike manholes, especially force mains, but seeing them in Chernarus lifted my spirits. I hope sewer habitation can be a thing.

Caught it a few minutes before the Q&A but wow...so many awesome things coming together at the moment. Can't wait for beta! Beards, location-based damage, stats and modding tools... Something tells me that after Beta I will accrue more screenshots of events in Chernarus than I have pictures of my children. :D

Is a character reset inbound for 0.59? Or do we not need to reset characters this time around?

Ha! Lately, I see DayZ the way I see my job. I don't know if I love to hate it or hate to love it, but I damn sure don't like how it treats me right now! :) We're gonna have all kinds of new stuff to find and people to fuck with (or vice versa?) soon enough!

I feel like the 0.58 lull is the 'long, dark night' of DayZ's development cycle. Soon we will see the light at the end of this tunnel.
