I have found 1 other thing in a cupboard a few patches ago but i look there almost every time and never seen a Backpack there but maybe you are right.

Mostly smaller items from my experience.  Interesting to see a backpack spawn there though.

Has anyone been able to craft tanned leather since the last update?  I can't.  I get no option when combining deer pelts and lime.

You need a barrel to tan leather I think. Google it, I'm not entirely sure how it is done.

I've seen floating hay bales in other locations but not stacks of logs or your last 2 pictures.

Regarding the V3S, it's inventory and adding a battery.  What I ran into this morning was that if the inventory of the V3S is near full, even with the bottom row of storage available, you cannot insert a battery into its slot.  Can someone please confirm and I'll add / open a tracker on it.  Once I rearranged items to open up two rows at the bottom I was then able to insert the battery.

AWE MAN, my mouse wheel just gave out, what the hell!!  Oh well, it was a good rodent, had some serious hours on it, thousands, so I can't complain.  At first I thought it was my inventory giving me troubles... meh.

I tried that.  Put lime and a pelt in a barrel and tried to move them over each other.  Or do I just close the barrel and wait.  Hmm.

Glow plugs have there own slot now it seems.

They did originally, too. I distinctly remember a point (2nd or 3rd build maybe) where it switched to them being within the "regular' inventory of the truck and was very confused by it.

Basic camp coming together.  And if you haven't yet, you should try backing a truck into its tent and get the thing straight.  And yeah, I finally took the time to figure out how to add an image using BBCode so Bones won't have to edit every other post of mine.

Have rainbows always been in DayZ? On a daytime server, it's raining and I am running between Zeleno and NWAF, and I look over at GM and see the faint outline of a rainbow.

I also seem to be dying for absolutely no reason, simply sitting in a building with absolutely no other players around will sometimes yield the "You are dead." screen.

Thing is, we always had rainbows in DayZ. The first time I ever saw one in the Stand Alone was in 0.29. They might have an overhaul eventually, as they were directly imported from ArmA2, just like the lightning strikes, which I haven't seen in a loooooong time.  (Since 0.43/0.44)

I haven't tried tanning with a barrel but fertilizer works like this, you need the two ingredients guts and plant material in the barrel. Close the lid and right click and you will now have the option to make fertilizer, click it and close your inventory so you can't see what's in there and wait 60 seconds.

Sorry, but no.  If I knew where to find an M4, maybe, just maybe, I'd catch a pic of one of those elusive creatures.

 

Regarding your untimely death(s), I'll assume that you have no status effects in play.  You just die out of the blue?  Sounds like a sniper at first guess.  Not sure what the range of gunfire sounds are these days.

You sure you didn't die from hypothermia like i did? if you spend a long time in a rainy server you don't even get the cold status it just goes straight to hypothermia after awhile.

Yes, I also had sardines in the barrel because I didn't know what to do with them and they were just ignored while making fertilizer.
