Anyway I just wish they fixed heli crashes on persistent servers (1st person at least). Surely it shouldn't take much effort? Maybe on Thursday or Friday.

Dude, let the poor developers have a life! Their lives revolve around this game as it is, I think they're owed some time off once in a while... especially when most other people are off, too. "Hey, I don't want to work at all this week, but if you guys could just go ahead and keep working during a major international holiday that'd be great."

 

Also, you clearly have no idea how game development works if you're making comments like "shouldn't take much effort." Okay then smartass, if it's so easy why don't you go ahead and do it for them?

When developers are doing game in ALPHA for 2years or more...this is fail. $68m and more they got, and in every next patch they ruining many things, that were repaired early, nice job, nice money and nice holidays in New Year Holidays to all fans of game. ( I hope in 1-2Jan they do hotfix )

DayZ standalone has been in Alpha for 1 year NOT 2.

 

You seem so ignorant and ill informed that I have to believe you did almost no reading about DayZ before you purchased it.

Guys, where can i get a normal loot? On persistence on servers heli crash sites are invinsible and you can't find much ammo round at military buildings and in persistence off i can't seem to find any heli crash sites and automatic weapons. Can anyone give me any clue and suggestion? Tnx

died twice entering 2nd floor. Suprisingly it wasnt the fire station, this time it was ATC tower, twice in a row. ATC @ NWAF, ATC @ Balota after respawn in cherno.

I have ruined my shoes several times by entering normal civilian houses (1st/2nd floor ofcrs) aswell.

I have a really bad feeling that you don't really know how to fix this and the problem will stay.This is defenately worse than it was in 0.51.Ill have to start avoiding anything but ground level, again :(

 

No idea why would you remove the "pour" water option and "search for twigs"

Im really tired finding amphibia magazines, I havent seen the actual gun since summer can anyone confirm this gun still exists?

 

I failed at improvised knife 10 times than i gave up. I got no msg i failed tho, the rock just dissapeared - working as intended?

Dropped loot tends to teleport over the walls and ceilings, finding it everywhere but where you dropped it.

 

oh and btw, when im looking at the rocky beach texture...  finding a rock should be 100% chance. A completely blind, mute person with one hand would find it everytime. Same goes for twigs in bushes. how could one fail collecting something he already sees is beyond me and tbh its really stupid that im "dice rolling" whether i will pick one of the million stones i see on the ground.

 

Zombies got allot worse. they usualy dont even face in your direction when swinging & sucessfully hitting you some 5m away. Noticably more lags. I'll blame the v3s.Something must be sucking all the performance.

 

No idea what's up with silencers - there was talk the sound is "working" now. I still cant hear half the shots my friend does. Axes making Assault rifle sounds when hitting surface etc. Right and left channels are getting randomly mixed.... Hopefully you really will adress this audio issues in Q1. I ended up clipping a bambi hitting my door with an axe, thinking he's got an SKS comming for me.

 

I really enjoy this game, but some of the features and bugs are starting to worry me that they will never really be properly adressed or fixed since it seems they persist each patch on.

 

imb4 beta will polish the bugs, glitches, optimization, your life, house,car, wife.

actualy, stay way from my wife.

I am still getting the search for kindling option, as far as the pour option I think that has something to do with fuel cans.  Should be able to pour fuel from one can into another using the same command but can't, must need tweaking or something I imagine.

 

Amphibia now seems to spawn at crash sites only.  Haven't seen one either but really don't care since I don't like the amphiba all that much anyway.  I just mess with those mags if I have a sporter and a mag for that.

 

I try to kneel before dropping loot, that seems to help quite a bit.

 

I have not had the issue with random broken legs in this build, But it seems to be random and on again/off again.  It appears to be some kind of sync issue, you see one thing but the server sees another and resolves it by breaking your legs and/or killing you with a fall.

I love Experimental, really I do. I would love to have a new 0.53 to toy around with while I'm off work. But just enjoy 0.52 for what it is. Clearly we don't know everything about it yet as I seemingly discovered the beginnings of yet another town this evening.

Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying 0.52.

 

I agree with you, I wouldn't want to be at work on New Years Eve. Based on what the devs did last week, though, I just don't know what to expect from them!!! They deserve a break, but they are clearly completely out of control.

Funny, when i logged in today, my compass was back in my inventory again. I found some other matches again and all in all i doesn't care that much for this bug. But it wasn't there for me in the former releases so i told it here.

 

What i forgot before:

I have this annoying sound bug which playes the ladder climbing sound when i am looting some buildings for example. This is making me completely paranoid. It's there since ever. If this don't get fixed in the near future i will end up as a wreck. ;)

 

All in all i love the game in nearly every release. I don't have any of the mad bugs some people describing. Only the very hard hitable Zs were annoying till someone told about the side-attack-trick. Keep up the good work! I love the Steyr AUG! :)

U can't think? DayZ Sa not in Alpha for 2 years NOW, but it will be. And not only 2years, it will be more. Please online ur brain before writing.

As someone who makes improvised knives from stones IRL it is more complex than you think.  Try making a sharp edge out of crumbly granite or platey shale.  So spending a little time looking for the *right* kind of stone (material, size, shape) is appropriate... and you should fail sometimes, especially if you are not experienced at this sort of stuff.

Let it be in Alpha for 10 years, I don't care. As long as the game gets really good eventually and the devs keep us updated about their work and keep pushing out nice updates every month, that's ok for me. I really hope you are a troll, but if you are not, I recommend you to read all the changelogs and status reports. That will help you to see progress.

Haven't been on in awhile fellas or kept up with the forums.Is there any difference between the builds of exp. and the point where .52 went to the stable branch ?

I don't believe so, a lot of the developers are on holidays at the moment.

Mainly Private server user here, so much of my experiences for this patch are from that.

 

 

The patch started pretty solid, no issues with anything major or game breaking, but bit by bit me and many other began seeing things that really really broke the game and make us have to dance around now broken mechanics.

 

1) Skinning & quartering animals: This seems to be utterly hit or miss....mainly miss as the server generally dislikes when people wish to eat the wonderful wildlife of Chernarus. Out of 15 or so animals we may get to skin and get meat off of one animal if we are beyond lucky.

 

2) Using items on other players & crafting items: Bandages, morphine, IV's, splints, ect... all seem to be broken, been in many a firefight where one of our guys would get plugged by a lucky shot, fall unconscious and we would have to watch him bleed out or crawl around with broken legs for 40 minutes because no one has morphine. Along with this, crafting alot of items is broken as well. This one is by far the worst of all the current issues imo.

 

3) Chopper crashes not spawning: Now I've never seen a single chopper crash on the Private hive I play on, ever. Apparently from what other players have told me, the chopper crash models do not spawn but loot does, as I did see someone running around with a Smersh vest, but that was in .51. 

 

 

4) Server Crashes: Yeah...pretty self explanatory. 

 

 

 

On the plus side, not all is lost...

 

1) Zombies: From my experience the zombies haven't been to bad, they have been spawning after restarts ( or crashes ) and been cooperating with the laws of physics ( thank god ) so not much to gripe about there.

 

2) Persistance: Generally speaking, persistence is doing alright on the private servers, things are spawning within a decent radius of where other things were picked up. Still get loot explosions and buildups of really useless junk, but its not bad. The only problem comes from when the server has been up for some time ( days ) and much of the loot along the coast has been utterly stripped clean making life very hard for freshspawns.

 

 

 

All and all, things are broke but its alright, I know Dev's are workin' on it and I know you can do it~

I keep having a crash issue that appeared first with this update. Either the game freezes and I have to ctrl+alt+tab out, or I get thrown on the desktop "DayZ not working anymore". I haven't read anýthing about it here, noone seems to have the same issue...maybe I should make a report...but I cannot reproduce the circumstances....updated my drivers...to no avail. dammit dayZ, why U Alpha, why U no work? :-(

Good, they earned it!

 

I hope they get the ol' batteries recharged and come back ready to dig into some of the outstanding issues. They set some pretty optimistic goals for themselves for Q1.

Really enjoying the build. 

 

Having a few issues with disappearing loot. Had a AKS-74U in my back pack and went to paint it and the mag disappeared from it. Also a range of other disappearing instances where things would just not be there any more after log ins in putting something on the ground.

Weapon attachements dissapearing when painting a weapon is a pretty old bug(or, well I remember it happening couple of months ago), sometimes relogging helps.

He best be wearing gloves, safety glasses and have a nice piece of thick hide on leg too.  We have some sharp rocks here in the islands and it does take much practice...

I do work during the holidays, though. Friday for instance is no longer a holiday period btw.

Oh look, another guy that seems convinced by something while they actually have no idea. I cannot do it for them because I'm not a DayZ developer, smartass.
