Ok hier stand Mist ^^

(here were crap)

 

No problem, i live in Saxony and go to the Czech Republic every month to buy bulk-consumer packs of coffee, toilet paper and some gasoline ( and cigs, i admit ), so i should know that i don't have to switch timezones while going over the border. :)

But today they did the weekly maintenance and probably started working at 7 or 8 AM. I don´t think that they are working for 18 hours or so.

 

Maybe they do shift work, hehe. Please let me be optimistic :D

Is It just my system or is the global lighting totally broken (depending on weather/sun)? I have flickering in buildings so hard...

Finally, home! I've been following the forum all day, so we have the choice trying to play as is or waiting for around 9-12 hrs.... hmmm... I'll play ;)

 

I guess it's just all about patience with this patchy patch, but tomorrow I hope they get it done. :thumbsup:

 

Edit: Uhm... yeah, crashed after 2 minutes hard enough to have me restart the computer.

 

Back to stable for a night or two.

I hope the light flickering will get fixed also... if you are not an epileptic you will probably turn into one when you play to much in buildings...

I think that they might have made Changes to the renderer which Is why light looks different cuz it happens on my computer too but only after yesterday's experimental patch .. It would make sense seeing as they already said it would change lighting a bit .. Just my guess .

Well, it can be helpful - sometimes you will see shadows of loot - and other players - on lower floors.  I found some things that I would not have, and survived an encounter that way.

I can't wait for morning , I keep crashin ;,( (although my first crash was only after two minutes , now on my 5th crash I was able

to play for a good 40 mins before it happened again ) ..

I really like the door opening and closing sounds it adds a real level of watchfulness being able to listen for doors opening and not Just footsteps, also the new animations for the zombies are awesome .. And it seems they "pathfind" even better now ,staying even closer behind you while you run than the last experimental patch .

Game keeps crashing for me too.  Seems every exp build server I join, I CTD within 2-3 mins of playing..

same here.  Exp build is pretty unplayable atm.  :/  Hopefully soon a fix will come.

I waited as long as I could, but finally gave in and updated. Seems my experimental character got wiped regardless of hypothermia bugs :( .

RIP Dan Cooper... :P but It's to be expected (and yeah crashes... is it the AM yet :) ? )

That really sucks that you guys are still crashing. I'll see if I crash now when I get home. I had no issues this morning besides the hunger/thirst status not updating.

Ah, then that was not the most recent update, that has been fixed. 

 

It seems that if I am on and it is raining I CTD much faster than if it is sunny out.  I actually just was able to log out rather than CTD, which was nice, after about roughly an hour of play.  The CTD's are also affecting my .DayZprofile by starting me back in default settings and with my old Steam Name.

yeah thats definately the last exp patch as thats no longer an issue now its crashing lol although i can usually get between 30 min to an hour before i crash so i seem to be suffering less than some people (although my last crash got me killed crashed in middle of melee with a zed....

EDIT there was another exp patch a few hours later than the first (another 750 or so MB)

hmm maybe this is why i seem to be getting longer runs havent actually seen any rain yet .

Yeah, I get about 30mins play before I crash - it was pouring down when I was playing, so I don't know if the rain = crash theory... holds much water...

After Loot cycling the past two hours no tent. I think they have removed the tents from 0.49 getting ready to move to stable. Axes are VERY rare. Be careful not to drop things on the ground that you want to keep. Everything but Backpacks / Medkits / Guns / Clips will disappear in 30 seconds.

 

Some new toys in the game that require batteries. They work VERY Well. Zombies are working fine again and seem to pack a bit more punch. New sounds for doors and gates. Doors now are random open or closed after server restart. Barracks doors now some open inward and some outward. Some doors have been added or closed where they were open before.

 

Body temperature seems to be working very well now. You might want to pack some warm cloths if you can not build a fire. If you get over heated simply jumping in the water for awhile will bring your temperature down. Ammo and Guns are also VERY Rare now. Not long after the servers are patched everything will become hard to find. All of the Call of Duty fans are not going to like this new patch. Starting to feel more like a survival game and less like a PvP game. My impressions of this current patch for 0.49 is very good and I think they will move it to stable sometime today or tomorrow morning. Enjoy everyone and remember ( Its a survival game ) Try and make friends again because your going to need them with this patch.

Couldn't play longer than ~5min last evening, too ...

Really looking forward to a fix for this and testing the build out this evening.

And yeah Czech time only 1 1/2 h to go for AM ^_^

According to the map the new dev blog showed, the mystery about where the balota military camp will be moved, seems to be revealed (and my personal suggestion has come true) - the very north-west corner of the map!

Just spooked around up there in my search for a tent the other day (some feed shacks already to be found) and totally fell in love with the lovely looking birch woods. It really gives the area a different feeling compared to the rest of the map, i think. Also recognized some "military pavement" and placeholders for coming buildings and was hoping that this would be a future location for pvp-related adventures and stuff. 

Happy to see this finally happen (i.e. being planned at least ;) ) !

Four times in a row my spawn points have been on top of zeds beating me to death while I am in the "please wait" screen.  Please adjust the spawn points.

You playing the other version then.. or was...because in the crashy one the hunger / thirst status is working fine.  ;)

So today, I downloaded the new experimental update and I spawned on the southern coast

 

:beans: !Finally! :beans:

 

I will kill myself a few times and see if I spawn south again to confirm

 

edit: Southern spawns is confirmed on my end, have spawned south twice now. 

 

Things I have found so far

 

- constant annoying crashing 100% confirmed

- Doors have opening sounds

- Zombies now have proper footstep sounds

- Zombies seem to have been tweaked and feel more fluent now (maybe placebo effect)

- Wringing out clothing does not work

- Different stages of temperature (eg; I am promptly cooling off, I slowly cooling off, I am slowly warming up)

- Random sounds bug seem to have been removed though will play more to confirm

 

EDIT #2: I can near self confirm that zombies have been drastically improved as their path finding is now near flawless. I locked myself in multiple rooms and closed the door for at 3 minutes per room and not one zombie poked through the door or anything. Although could be definitely be related to the fact that there is only 4 people on the server I am playing on right now.

yeah there isn't really a point in trying to play atm ...

but devchatter said that a fix would come this AM, of which only 30mins are left :P

well, at least i hope this fix will come before  i get home from work XD
