still no heli crashes, acogs, m4's, grenades or walkie talkies! sad :(

so persistance is not orking at all or just has some bugs?

there are more then enough walkie talkies. found atleast 6 in one play session in exp

To the 3  guys who tried to highjack me and tell me "get out of town" (far SW of Berezino) on DayZ DE 0-8 (Experimental/Testing) earlier today...

At the moment I'm near Dolina and I can year someone talking to me on voice chat... problem is I'm all alone and it seems whoever is talking, is somewhere else, far away from me, and is talking to a guy that's shooting him.

What the hell?! Someone, somehow managed to get on side voice chat in standalone? lol

Now he's cursing him rofl.

The Von exploit/bug has been fixed but I'm not sure it made it into this build yet or Stable.

M4 can spawn but wont. walkie talkie can spawn too, but cant be used!

Fresh spawned three times, died three times by Zombies through walls - again. I hit that zed with a crowbar about 20 times, of which I actually had contact 3 times, and that, to me, is a huge game breaker when none of the hits register.

 

I think I'll take a break for a few days.

I love the fact that the devs have done so much work lately, and I don't want to seem ungrateful, so I'll just be patient until the worst things are fixed.

 

I'll be lurking ^_^

this is quite odd.....I can choose both experimental and stable servers right now while updated to experimental in steam...

Yesterday I played with a friend and he was moving in about walking speed when fully sprinting. The sprint animation was there but he was just painfully slow. After relogging and changing around settings, he got faster, but still much slower than I was.

Standalone have the same thing that DayZ mod - your moving/sprinting speed is connected to your FPS. If you are bleeding FPS and have 2-15 you'll go slower, sometimes much slower then someone who is rocking steady 30-60 FPS.

Wrong. We aren't talking about real life, we're talking about the game. The game did NOT follow east-west for sunrise/sunset previously. I can't confirm that it has changed, but what he is stating about north-south is a pretty well known thing. You can deny it, but that doesn't mean he is wrong.

Are they the same build currently? If so, that's why. When they were both on 0.46, I was unable to use my experimental character even though I had it set to "beta" on Steam -- it defaulted to my stable character.

I find that both annoying and welcome. When you're trying to travel in a group it can be a hindrance, but in other situations I'm happy to have an advantage.

I have weak PC but I've found a trick to boost FPS to sprint fast - you have to look up in the sky or down to the ground, this adds FPS for potato computers.

Ahh, interesting. Hadn't thought of that. I usually have two levels of graphics settings: one I use for pretty pictures (basically maxed out), and one for "everything else" that allows for a much higher FPS number and a more fluid, enjoyable experience (a lot more "Normal" settings used).

Since release I've used the sun to navigate, it's always been east to west

Stay on Topic pleasZ !

The sun comes up, then it goes down, the moon comes up and when it's gone down, the sun comes up.....

If you are rendering nothing then your FPS will go up, this is the way of the world.

 

If you have opted into Exp, when the next Exp build is released, your game will update, maybe tomorrow afternoon (not to be confused with the sun descending or the moon ascending or the azimuth depending on your position).

I shall give this a try.  My normal FPS is around 10, which sux, does not matter if it is low ping or not.  Need a new machine...
