I have stopped looting them altogether because of this.See, i never broke my legs/instadeath there - as u stated, its about 2/3-Storybuildings - it's more about every lifted object in the game, could be a pile of wood too cuz the broken legs/instadeaths. haknslash 763 Posted July 21, 2014 (edited) Nothing to do ith NWAF.....servers with more around 20 or more are frequently causing epople to lag out and break their legs on the second or third story of buildings. Strange I've never encounted this phenomenon as I play only on medium to high pop servers. I'm guessing this lag issue doesn't give a red chain? It would suck to be instadeathed by this bug lol. Thankfully I had just found morphine in the jail cell prior to this happening but I thought for sure I was going to die from someone coming up there while I was down for the count :D I blame every bug on Green Mountain. I'm not sure what Dean meant by that but I can only assume it was fixing the bug causing people to die or break legs climbing ladders. That's also another bug I've thankfully never encountered but I confess I make it a point to avoid ladders when possible because you're such an easy target. My hunch is they deliberately let them run a long time to stress test them since this update was more about server performance than content. I'm sure they knew about it because the devs read reddit all the time and there is no way they wouldn't of known based off everyone commenting on the lack of server restarts.That being said I was definitely impressed because even after several long hours of playing my performance was great (all things being considered). In a thousand hours I've only had this happen to me three times and once was in pitch black darkness on the upper floor of a construction site. I fell off the damn floor and survived somehow, then crawled to the forest, took damn near a hour btw, chopped down a bush and patched myself up. Also the break legs upstairs bug is only avoidable by not going upstairs it happens at random on higher pop servers when lag occurs. Often times your not even aware there is lag and suddenly ur legs are broken. There is no safe way to climb stairs or ladders in this scenario...it isnt people falling down ladders as opposed to climbing on them it is being killed for no reason when ur legs are in pain... Take it slow and easy else lag out the side of the building and plummet to your death imho. Don't get me wrong, it's not right at all, just there seems to be a way to minimize the carnage. These 12 hour restarts made loot very hard to find, and by decreasing loot, people start interacting because they are low on food/drink.
