Yesus the hacker

Recommended Posts

So I just bumped into Yusen on experimental DE-4 again. He seems to be under a new name though, but wasn't able to get it(I could tell by his voice).

This time he has a friend with him also, they are doing the same thing with teleporting to you then trying to get you to tell you where you are from, I have no clue what they plan on doing with that information but they must have a purpose for asking it. Game key theft by finding your steam account?

its a warning to let people know if they are asked "where you from" you may have encountered a hacker.

and the only reason why I think he is adamant about chasing people down to get this information has to do with gamekey theft for resale

I think he would need far more info than your location for any sort of id theft, but as hunstman said best to just ignore and move to another server...

Probably a hack troll...

All is in the data !

Since BE is handling that end of "business" we can only hope the data written is sufficient (and not modified).

Is he rich?  Because he must be buying new steam accounts and arma accounts since we have heard of this asshole cheating for over a year.  Are you guys sure that the global bans really work?  This is fucking ridiculous.

Cant the fucking bans include his ip address or credit card numbers so he can never use the same cards or computers to buy new accounts?  Otherwise, the wealthier players can cheat their asses off and just buy new accpunts.   Why not ban by ip, location, and credit cards?

yes because criminals don't pray on what people would think as "normal" or "harmless" ever...

The point of this post is not to report the hacker, we have done plenty of that, but to send an alert to be careful who you share information with, it may seem harmless but could potentially have your game key stolen(as seen in arma2) and you'll have to buy a new copy of the game. Where do you think these hackers seem to get an endless supply of game keys after they are banned?

The way he goes about it is not a normal social way. He will teleport to your location, hold you up claiming he is friendly and the first thing out of his mouth will be "where you from", ask why and he will demand with threats of violence or promise of aid if you give the information to him. This may be a lead-up to question to obtain more information from you following your response, I do not claim to know what he plans on doing with the information,  but it in no way is for good intentions.

and just an FYI, I'm a professional in the security industry and have seen what has happens to people who mistakenly give information away thinking "there is no way they can do anything with just that", then end up being a victim of identity theft.

Side note:

Bumped into him again on the experimental hardcore server, same behaviour.

One cant do sht if he knows where you are from... thats a joke. Would need alot of info to gain access to any account of yours through some recovery procedure. Also if person is stupid enough to give something that he can really use...
Im from finland, now someone try to hack my steam account, not gonna happen. Not even if he knows my email, steam account name...
Also stolen steam key is useless as you cant reuse it, you would need to hack the whole account and use it.
Hackers got their key from people who were stupid enough to download "hacks" or other malicious software... "fps boosters" "key gens" etc which then check windows registry and copy the key.

Thats why you dont download and install shit that you dont know well..

I mean cmon.. its just that you SPECIFICALLY said, " ohh ehh if he asks you where you are from, he's a hacker and he's trying to steal your identity.. obviously".. THAT is funny to me

And Waaaat he with demand answers with threats?? THREATS?!?! ON THE INTERNET!?!? NO WAY! i better give him my social security number.

Fine Mr. prof internet security... if that even is your real name?!?! i will use the god given SLIVER of basic reasoning that anyone and everyone should be able to muster not to get my identity stolen by a guy asking where im from.. (drops the mic and walks away)

Wow you miss the point entirely... I did not say if someone asks that question that means they are a hacker, nor did I imply that his threats carry any weight. I merely posted "watch out for this behavior" to inform others who may not have encountered him before or have not heard of him. My perception on his intention is based off my experiences; those who who interact with others outside the "norm" of behavior while doing something malicious usually have malicious intentions, I don't down play what that intention may be. Plan for the worse, hope for the best.

Why is everyone getting their panties in a twist? Do you support hacking?

You continue to make me laugh :D Look clearly your intentions are pure and you have the heart of an angel, so ill level with you.

I am in no way trying to disprove or deny or diminish your point, i am merely adding a bit of humorous context. Something your either too old or upset that a guy is arguing over the internet to see.

Do i support hacking?? wow.. I feel like im in the dark ages, and you've just pointed at me and is shouting witch hahaha almost reminds me of another post on these very forums where people are discussing whether 3rd person mode looking around walls is cheating, and if anyone makes the point about it being IN the game, and theres already HARDCORE mode to fix it, accusations go through the roof.. but lets not get off topic

Keep up the good work, i hope you save your jimmies!

Maybe he is doing a dayz player world map survey.

And that would be an interesting story if he didn't use hacking and killing anyone who wasn't comfortable being surveyed as a way to obtain it.

Something your either too old or upset that a guy is arguing over the internet to see.

That part hurt... I'm not that old lol. Far too often people assign some non existent emotion and read what they want. You seem to have who you think I am pegged in an off tilt way, I may not structure my posts like a 16 year old but that doesn't mean I'm some old fart that thinks the Internet was created by demons and should be burnt at the stake. I deal with cases of the unlucky ones who got targeted by the criminal lottery, or ignore warnings because they are not informed. Doesn't mean everyone is stupid, they just are trusting in others because they have good intentions. Edited by akafugitive

The simple fix is to just make up a location?

733t H4xx0rz: "Hi, where are you from?"

Me: "Azeroth."

733t H4xx0rz:  :|

Me: "kkthnxbye"

I've only ran into him on experimental, where there's no BE.
