    Fixed: Item weight penalty is not applied when heavy items are taken into a backpack with Glow Stick attached attachment weights are not right now radio is way off, even 2KG is a bit much but 5KG when a battery is attached... also plate carrier goes from 12KG to 26KG when empty pouches or a holster is attached

    Honestly I’ve tried changing my settings to see what the purpose for this was but the only thing I find it does is; -forests floors are still dark but trees out to about 25 meters are perfectly visible - interior ambience is wrecked due to the room you are in being fully lit by a blue filter I think if this is set to be a feature at least have the filter be more of a darker grey and only out to about 5 meters i will say though the following are great additions; - ACOG top sights working properly - item re-sized in inventory(though I wish the icon size was slightly condensed) - plate carrier/Smersh vest pouches making a return -zombies reaction to sound (though in this patch they seem to turn and run directly towards you again when they are hit, and are not reacting to ground impacts anymore) I really hope the zombies reacting to gound impacts makes a return, forming a horde and moving them around at a distance can be quite entertaining

    The cost of your monitor won’t change that, I have also have only a $200 monitor. Knowing how to adjust your monitor/tv’s contrast/brightness and playing with these settings will help. Too low and everything will be pitch black, too high and everything will be washed out and covered in over bright “noise” that was added to stop the gamma/ brightness exploitation. for reference, I cannot see much of anything at all on the darkest nights (just the silhouette and basic details) unless something is white or a brighter colour and I do need to use a light source to see well. the server I play on also used increased lumens which is a great mod for increasing the range and brightness of light and night only lasts for about half an hour which is a prefect balance. as you say day servers are full and night servers are not, so adding a feature that is hated by people who currently play the full night and day is going to change that? I doubt it, some will try then realize they still only want to play during daylight and go back to 24h Day. Only change will be whoever currently enjoys dark nights will have their gameplay experience dulled down

    Hell you guys made a great Atmospheric video for the Xbox launch featuring the “bandits” being tricked into a dark room and them needing to use a zippo to try and see, this personal light makes this not possible and I would like to see closed interiors with no windows be dark like this even during the day time.

    I get dark nights that I can still make out enough detail around me to not see pitch black(still require the use of light to see any kind of detail) and my morning/daylight is perfectly fine. Even if I take screen shots they don't do Justice for what I can actually see - this is taken with increased Lumens Mod on(great mod for lighting). but in game I can also see the tree on the right outside of the light, and my hands and rifle clear enough to identify the complete outline of them - this is just as the sun is staring to come up - after sunrise These pictures were take on a hazy morning and I do not think they even completely show it as I see it in game

    From my experience and everyone else I play with, if this is your issue then all you need to do is adjust your monitor settings. Currently in stable without the light light, even on the darkest nights you should still be able to see your own Silhouette, and of objects around you, you just are not able to see any detail to them. If you are seeing pitch black then adjust your monitor and you will see improvement in both this and light source brightness. this personal light really is bad and kills the atmosphere of night time. Honestly anyone Now that doesn’t enjoy playing at night are probably not going stop playing on 24h daytime servers with this addition anyways, so why wreck it for the people who enjoy the full night and day experience.

    I do like some of the changes from this patch but there are a couple that really bother me as someone who enjoys DayZ for what separates it from most other games, and its atmosphere. changes to Night lighting - this addition of the client lighting breaks a bit of the atmosphere of the game; night time being dark, disorienting and creepy is something that shouldn't change. the work on creating the filter to prevent gamma exploit feels undone by this addition. - I would really like to see attaching chem-lights to your body or gas lamps to your backpack become i thing; so having a light source while still having your hands free be other options from headlamps/weapon lights RMB toggle aim down sights - I'm really not a fan of this being added the way it is added; DayZ has added so many components for dexterity and careful setup/preparation that this feature just takes away from how the system currently works. DayZ not being a twitch shooter is what makes it a great game for its design and this is very generic, and causes conflicts working in tandem with the current aiming method while holding down the mouse button. - There is one area that having a toggled ADS would help and I hope gets added in eventually, precision aiming with weapon resting/bipod; this would work the same way as the current system except you wont need to keep holding the right mouse button in order to keep the weapon in ready/aimed stance. could work like this: - while at cover/prone with weapon in hands; prompt to rest weapon/bi-pod by pressing interaction key (F) - use the same button that currently toggles between Aimed/Ready (Middle Mouse Button/Shift) - moving/changing stance will exit rested/bi-pod stance and return the weapon to the default low/high ready stance - this may be a little less comfortable for people coming from games like COD/Battlefield/every other shooter, but it is the fast easy aiming that makes twitch shooting easy and what will take over from slower deliberate movements where tactical awareness is more superior. I play both styles of games and enjoy both but one of my Major draws to DayZ is that its style for how you handle weapons are your own, feel way more authentic, and do not reward reckless run and gun play

    Barret 50. cal?

    I remember it being asked before and if my memory serves me well then the .50 is not out of the question, but will be much later when the economy system is finished so the numbers can be limited. I also remember is being said that if it happens then they will come with a huge downside like weight and mobility limitations, plus it would be a bolt action like the Tac-50 or something similar.

  11. When I play on a regular server game runs great, my connection to the hive is normal, but when I play on a hardcore server I am desyncing and loosing connection every few seconds. I've seen this bug before in an Arma 3 Mod because an old character file still exists in the hive database and it gets confused on what one to check, possibly the issue?

  13. OK I'm going back into hiding... Dev team and rocket if you are reading this, please don't give up on your design idea of using your survival experience to create this game, we may be more quiet but there are a lot of us who support what you stand for as like minded people. It will be a benefit to the others here in learning adaptation skills even if they resist it, specially if they play games like this and aspire to move into relative careers at some point in their life. I will continue on with my suggestion threads when I find time

    Whenever you use the realism card for DayZ...

    Well let's face it, most of the people who complain about realism don't really know what real is anyways. They really just want their viewpoint in the game, realistic is an over used excuse.This is a game that provides a decent authentic experience. Since you will always encounter people who don't take it as serious as their own life it will never be "realistic". The ability to leave the game world, have disembodied conversations, and respawn will always kill that. The game does however provide a great experience to people who enjoy being challenged into higher battle strategy then a simple casual shooter, that I support. I do like the more sensible approach to balance that uses more complexity, like close to true ballistics, instead of just dropping the damage of the .50 Cal sniper because "it's too powerful", or increasing the damage of the m4 because "I shot him 11 times in the toe, why you not die". Fact is, if it's realism you want, go serve your country. I bet your view of what real is changes fast ;)

    Removed.

    I'm thinking more along the lines of each item and pouch gets an assigned width value, if the pouches value is lower then the items value then the item wont fit. eg: Mag has assigned value of 4, mag pouch has a value of 4, so it fits. Canteen has a value of 6, mag pouch has a value of 4, doen't fit. yeah they are 2x5 so 10,20,30,40 round mags all have a different size(grid length)
