How many Women play this game and what do you think about it?

Only met one so far.  I was fully geared up with gas mask and M4A1 and waved at her at the outskirts of a town, then approached and introduced myself as a friendly.  She was very nervous in the voice chat and said that her friend told her I was going to kill her.  I gave her a some tips and were to go to get some water and gear and she ran off.  Last I saw of her.  Hope she made it.

well I have to agree with all the "this is now my favorite game" posts. as for being a woman in the game I have yet to have anyone speak to me at all so theres that.  I've been gaming for a lot of years and have had a lot of different reactions to being in "man" country but yeah i'll shoot you if you give me a reason. I try to play a humanitarian game but sometimes you just gotta kill em. ohhhh and I found out the other day I will be a grandmother soon - I hope all you kids don't mind grandma watchin from the hills....

There was a 3 girl 1 guy group on one the old mod servers I played on, and guess what, they were the main bandit group on the whole server. My gf won't play dayz since force feeding came in...says she doesn't like where the game is going now, but meh what does she know lol

LOL i remember many years ago playing battlefield 2 as a younger man (40 almost 41 sigh) i got my butt handed to me over and over by granny smith , I sent a voice message assuming the name was in relation to the apples ( maybe it still was in relation to the apples) and was shocked to get a voice message back from a woman laughing saying if i was ok with getting slapped around by a woman in her late 50s.

 

Ill admit it kinda stung the ego for a sec then i just laughed and sent back she should change her name to granny whoopass...

I don't have much experience with women, but usually when I want someone to play a game i give them a go. (it helps if you hand it to them during some action eg. full server while in a major town, maybe a bandit or two.)

I am curious to know if there are many women that play this game and if so what they think about it. I have seen some really ignorant guys treating women badly in this game so far but I have also been treated badly. :)

No, I just think some guys abuse the situation even further when they learn they are dealing with a woman. In real life I don't allow this kind of thing in my presence and it also bugs me to see it in game. Sure treat them like anyone else but don't go out of your way to abuse and make sexist comments or call them names due to the fact they are female. I simply wanted to hear peoples experiences. Don't try to turn this into something else.
