oh did i just read this right? so by depending on equipment does that mean a weight system was put in for how much stuff your carrying or is it most likely talking about the shoes your wearing?

I remember when all the bitches thought it was offensive that Rocket was having Christmas dinner instead of full steam development for DayZ.

please don t forget the wall glitch and the loop animation sometimes the player gets stucked in (but can only be seen by other players).

I'm guessing the 762 speedloader is for Mosin or SKS, but what is B95?

 

762 Speedloader is for the over under hunting rifle I just found. Nice intricate metal work, pretty sweet. I had seen a picture of it a while back before standalone came out but I didn't expect it to be added on this patch. Haven't seen the 22 yet.

I think team sports should be implemented as a means of combating KoS and increasing sports gambling related gun violence.

There is already sks speedloader guys so 762 will be for mosin,

Couple of bugs not fixed in changelog:

Bodies dissapear after a minute if player respawns

Sometimes ammo box ammo goes to 0

I know im being hopeful but please fix invisible zombies

762 loader not work for mosin :-) and MAGNUM have normal sound now

Sorry for the double post. Just to be clear the "hunting rifle" doesn't have a description in game yet but it does take the same ammo as the mosin. That's why I figured the 762 speedloader would be for it as it only holds two rounds.

Isn't that over under rifle supposed to have two different caliber barrels? Like smooth bore on top and rifled on the bottom? So it should take one shotgun round and one rifle round?

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A LIVING DOCUMENT AND CHANGES VERY OFTEN. AS NEW ITEMS ARE FIXED THEY WILL BE ADDED. 

ETA to Experimental: 2 builds likely, one Thursday 6 Feb, another on Friday 7 Feb. Possibly another on Monday 10 Feb.

ETA to Stable: We will most likely do an update to stable on Wednesday 12 February during the scheduled maintenance period.

An important feature of this update is logic changes to how the player character is processed on connection and disconnection. Some serious errors were identified by the new penalty timeout system relating to how the character is processed when they are not in control of their character. This included a serious bug with the respawn button on an unconscious player. Additionally, more bugfixing is included in this update.

  • Animations: Ruger 10/22 hand pose
  • Animations: It's now possible to blend directly between various gesticulation states (pointing,finger,greeting...)
  • Crafting: Can repair clothes, weapons, and items using specialist items (such as sewing kit)

  • Gear: Added configuration for durable riders jacket
  • Gear: Added Cowboy hats to the loot spawns (multiple colors)

Fixed:
  • Actions: Could not cover another players head with a burlap sack
  • Actions: No longer spawns clones of sack after Remove Head Cover action
  • Actions: Removing Head Cover (burlap sack) while inventory is full won't leave you blind and without burlap sack anymore
  • Art: Duplicate geometry in lower resolution LODs of flannel shirt resulted in visual bug at distance.
  • Animations: Fixed an issue where the player would stay zoomed-in in sights for reload while aiming in prone
  • Animations: Player should now be force-disarmed when clapping while holding a single-handed weapon.
  • Animations: Pointing and clapping now works even when initiated from aimed states
  • Animations: Fixed an issue where the left hand would stay glued to the FNX45 for aimed prone reload
  • Animations: Default rifle aim stance (stand and crouch) slightly changed to better fit different guns
  • Crafting: Cannot combine ruined stacked objects (such as ammo, rags)
  • Crafting: Cannot chamber/load magazine with ruined ammunition
  • Crafting: Motorbike helmet visors didn't retain their type when spray-painting the helmet
  • Medical: Cleaning wounds with alcohol tincture doesn't add last stage of infected wounds
  • Crash: Game Crash when using FLUSH command
  • Spawns: Lowered probability of Weapon cleaning kit spawns
  • Systems: Healing system was double processing for blood regeneration
  • Systems: Notifier messages were not being cleared/reset on within-state changes
  • Systems: Players position was not saving on disconnect
  • Systems: Players could get continually stuck in a dead character during load from central server
  • Systems: Players would not receive any falling damage
  • Weapons: Ballistic parameters of all projectiles tweaked for more realism (special thanks to Gews for his great analysis on weapon characteristics)

There are hundreds of different over under style guns. The most common in the US are shotguns that take the same caliber in both barrels.

How does everyone in the DayZ universe know how to sew clithing, breakdown and clean weapons, use debibrillators, fly helicopters. None of those things are known when born. I didnt learn how to properly clean an M4 untill I joined the military. I still couldnt properly sew clothing back together.

This is an opportunity for a good mechanic to add to the worth of a character. Find books that teach this to each character you have. Make it so if you spend so much time next to someone who already read that skill book you can learn it too.

I know, but googling 'B95 rifle' gives me the impression that this particular rifle should be a combination rifle (there is a mention of B95 in the patchnotes). I personally think it would be great to have a combination rifle, I just don't see how it would work in the current system as there is no switching of any kind, not even fire mode selection on M4.

Where are all the zombies? I've looted 4 unlooted towns in experimental (UK something) and see a total of 3 zeds. Anyone else noticed that?

You should definately be able to load a magazine that has ruined ammunition in it,

maybe not a ruined mag, but there is no difference in knowing what is ruined currently?

If you have ruined bullets, split them until your left with 1 ruined bullet and the rest will be pristine. I did that once.

I'm confused, is this for the Mosin, or the SKS?

EDIT: OK I trawled through the thread- it's for the hunting rifle, but is the hunting rifle in game now? And is the 'hunting rifle' really just a ruger 10/22?
